The CSR was very unprofessional. Not well groomed. I thought he was a mechanic. I also asked to use the restroom. The rep told me they didn't have a bathroom. I asked where they they go to use the bathroom. He said they go to the back of the building. I thought it was very unprofessional. I will never use that facility ever again. The CSR was very rude. He did not facilitate the experience. Hard to refer a company like yours to friends when you have unprofessional individuals representing your company.Louie L.

Your online checkin service is abominable. I was "awaiting approval" for 25 minutes. When it finally came, the system told me I had to go inside the office to get my key. I had to wait another 20 minutes until someone showed up onsite to open the store. Meanwhile, I tried calling UHaul for help. I waited on hold for 20 minutes, and then the woman wasn't even nice. At turn-in, I was charged to fill the tank with gas, even though my paperwork clearly said I was rented the vehicle at 3/4 of a tank (actually slightly less). I drove less than 38 miles, and was charged $20 to fill the tankAnthony I.
The associate who helped me was great, no complaints about him whatsoever, however this vehicle was nearly impossible to drive, and I have significant experience driving these types of vehicles. Not sure if it's a steering column issue or if the differential needs replacement, but this vehicle wobbled violently no matter how much weight it was carrying.Miles K.

The pick up location was changed the day before the move, it was much further away in traffic and cost me valuable time. It wasn't even on the original list of offered sites. I only got a â€œsorryâ€ from uhaul when I contacted cust support.Joseph S.

They were rude and over charged me over $250.00. I went from Maryland to Long Island and they said I drove over 1,000 miles and if you went to school you would know that Maryland to NY is less than 300 miles apart. Very uneducated people worked at the place in NY I dropped it off at. I am still waiting for a refund.Michael I.

Everything worked well. Uhaul email system was confusing though. They sent me 2 conformations one said to return on the same day at 7:30 and the other one said to return on the next day at 3p. I called the 800# for it and got no definite solution. On the rental day around 8pm, I got an email saying i was late to return the vehicle.rebecca K.

First; give me back the $ 100 charge ,for lost key,some one made a mistake and extra charge me $100; I don't lost any Key, if that was the case, still I pay for the insurance ,another $15 ,I just want a resolution,so far I didn't hear nothing from Uhaul.Juan Carlos C.

Everything at the location went well. The instructions for return were direct and thorough. I would have liked a little more direction on where to put the actual key. At some locations it's simply a box, here it was like a lock with a combination. The truck ran great and transported everything with no problem. But I was confused about why I paid for the mileage rate and had to fill the tank to full. It seemed like a double charge at that point because I'm already paying for the miles I'm traveling which you would think would go towards filling up the tank for the next family, but on top of that, I had to pay $60 to make it a full tank. My total bill (including filling the tank) for moving came out to $370 dollars. Regardless, I appreciate the service and the guy at the store was very friendly and informative. I will be using your service again but I will try to be more aware of the miles I'm traveling.Eyoel D.

I see you have charged my account twice. What isnthe reason for this? Charge of 87.50 on 11/2 and also another charge of 87.50 on 11/4. Please immediately refund 87.50. There was no problem picking up the vehicle. Gentleman was friendly and I was in and out in 10 minutes. The problem came when returning the vehicle since it was after they had closed. I took a picture of the mileage used, locked the truck and put the key in the night drop. After I had done this I noticed a text from UHaul that I needed to take a picture of the mileage and the fuel tank and uploaded it on the site they had sent me. I could not upload the picture I had taken. Well it would have helped to have known that in the beginning before I had locked up the vehicle and having put the key in the slot, I had no way of getting this information. I then called the help line to discuss and was connected with Shawn who corresponded by text and basically told me I would be responsible to pay a $20 service fee. Service for what? When I replied to him I was notified that my time for discussion had run out and he was no longer available to discuss. I drove 15 miles with the truck and had no issues until this ending which really made me realize I would not be using Uhaul again. Once again I give the location a 5, but the customer service by the company a zero+Michael G.

It wasn't a totally bad rental but I did and still do have some concerns. My mileage and gas levels were incorrect which they did commit to correct but only put notes and didn't actually change in the system so it required several different conversations with corporate. I also was required to sign 2 separate contracts, one with the information, another one blank. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't think thing thoroughly. I called them back regarding the mistakes and the blank contract and they told me they would take care of the mistakes and not to worry about the blank contract. Amount for one way long distance was not clear during the rental. I was told what ever I didn't use money would be returned to me between the amount of gas and $1553.00 out of pocket. I would never recommend Uhaul. When I spoke to Penske they quoted the upfront cost which was $1053 a lot cheaper then you Uhaul cost. I will not use Uhaul again during my move, because you had one employee that wasn't clear that the cost would be final cost. Rip Off deal!!!Sherrie T G.

I needed less than 1.2 gallons of gas and was charged $11 which is absurd for 87 octane gas! there is understandably a small fee for them having to get gas but that is egregious.Rene S.
The online part took a long time, over 20 minutes, and I couldn't get through to Uhaul by 1-800 or phoning other local store Also I paid $5 for 6 furniture pads which did not come. And I am having trouble getting a receipt that I can email to estate that wants to reimburse me. With all of that, it would help to have more people at the 1-800 number so it's easier to talk to a person. The drop off was a breeze at Dan's place in Frostburg MD.Wendolyn T.
