This was the most disgusting place I have had to go, in all of my life. I could have sworn they had bags of manure in the building, but come to find out, the stench was the people Working there ! there were cigarette butts littered all over the counter, old food, spot cups with chew spit. I'm not sure what the circumstances were for the man behind the counter, but it was appalling none the less. He had sweat, and chew stains on his shirt, and looked as if he had not showered in a month.. as my husband and I give him our infor, the man falls asleep, I politely repeated myself and he woke back up. And then he fell asleep again and again.. I would never advise anyone to use this location, especially during a pandemic. I was highly disgusting, and would like my money back !syndahl M.

I am not a person who likes to complain about the location that I dropped it off was not clean the building was full of cigarette smoke I could not stay inside I have asthma and it's set it off sorry for complaining but I think something needs to change at that location as far as being clean and the non-smoking area but otherwise I have no complaint thank you so muchMary H G.

I was charged three times for the single use service and was able to get no help with the issue other than being told I should contact my bank. This is very concerning considering I almost didn't have enough to cover the cost. I also was not aware of the charges until after returning the equipment and seeing my bank statement.Carter P.

There was no parking available for personal vehicles to be parked while using the Uhaul. The male that rented me the truck was rude, it was hard to hear him through the plexi glass window and when it was clear he needed to speak up, he yelled and acted put out of the inconvenience of repeating himself. Not to mention he had a large amount of disgusting chew and spittle hanging from his mouth. I will never go to that location again.Carrie D.

We chose the 24/7 option and tried to return the truck an entire day early. The location had a chain across the driveway making it impossible. We had to drive back to our destination and then we were charged additional fees instead of saving money. I'll never rent from U-haul again. The entire experience wA terrible.Brandi W.

The day I was at Santiam U-Haul the rental options were very limited. My selection was between two vehicles, a small truck and a large truck. I chose the small truck. I would have preferred a van or small enclosed trailer, but they were not available. I would suggest that you call ahead to find out if they have what you want. Chris, the store attendant was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient with the computer order and pleasant to talk to. The total rental process took less than 10 minutes. The small truck I rented had 48,000 miles on it but looked new inside and out. It rode great and was not intimidating to drive around town or in fairly heavy I-5 traffic.James H.
Very helpful. Our original reservation was in Lebanon and would never go back. Reserved the trailer 30 days in advance, called 3 days before to confirm and on day of pick up was told the trailer was not available and he could not get anything we were out of luck. Internet shows 24/7 dropoff but I was unable to do so. There was a chain locked at the driveway. Ended up driving 30 extra miles back home when unsure where to go and coordinating ride share. It was frustrating! I returned the next day on lunch break.PHILIP B.

Both my girlfriend and I called multiple times through the day prior to pick up and on pick up day. The guy out there never answers his phone and there is know option for voice mail. When we finally connected he informed me that I never called and he had his phone on him at all times. After being very annoyed, I just decided to drop it and let him be right on the matter. lol. When my girlfriend went out to pick up the truck she could not find anyone at the U-Haul site for about 10 minutes. When she went back to the officers had returned. He must have not realized she was there because she could here the sound of a porno coming from the device he was on. Not sure if it was a phone or not. She felt extremely uncomfortable at the site and said the nan was very creepy.john V.

Was charged for an extra day for no reason was at return location @ 815 am as I was told and the location didn't even open til 9am and then I see they didn't even check my truck in til after 4pm. Also went straight from albany to eugene will no other driving around so the 90+ miles is BSDevin M.
When I booked this location to return it said I could return 24 hours and my husband and I get there around 7pm to take the truck back and the gate it closed and locked so we had to get up early and return the truck at 9am (the time the truck was due) because they were opening the gate at 9am. Very annoying to drive there and then drive back home without being able to drop it off.Olmo A.

I would not rent this truck again. I did not realize it did not have cruise control, and drove 900 miles. I had just rented a 26 ft truck that had cruise, and just expected it to have it. Didn't realize it didn't have it, until I had loaded the truck. Would be nice to have defined ahead of time what equipment the truck comes with.chris N.

The cab of the truck was very dirty and the driver window handle was broken. There was a pair of pliers in the door to operate the window. The check engine light was on when we picked it up. The back of the truck was dirty (like actual dirt, not just dust) and smelled like it had recently been used to transport marijuana. One of the side slots that you use for strapping your stuff was cracked. When we tried to tighten a strap it broke. The staff we friendly. I think they were cleaning the truck when we got there. They said they were aware of the check engine light and a wotknorder had been placed.Manuel D.
GPS self check in failed. Truck was filthy front and back interior, smelled like old urine. Truck had transmission issues on trip, maintanance lights came on and truck lurched at 55 mph. I am really unhappy, Have had much better trips with Budget, for half the price.Shawn M.
Gary was awesome! He is kind and very helpful! Answered all of our questions. Our truck arrived late because the previous renter didn't bring it back on time. Gary called the renter and asked him to return the truck which he did. It delayed our day by an hour which was inconvenient as we had a very large amount to load from a 10'X20' storage unit and a 5 hour drive afterward. However, Gary did all he could to help us. He knew in advance we needed an 08 p/u and I'm sure would have had the truck ready had it been there!SUSAN E.
I was contacted to return my rental to this location rather than the location I had chosen. This was 15 miles away.. we had to use more fuel and we were unable to have dinner with our daughter before leaving her at college... when I asked if I would be compensated for this inconvenience I was told the best she could do was 20.00?? Guess what she never credited me back...Just terrible customer service I spend 209.00 and almost 36.00 in fuel cost for a rental I had for about 24 hours... 24/7 check in did not work for us. Online could not find our reservation after 45 mins then found our reservation but GPS was not registering that we were there, said we were 2 miles away. Luckily a guy came out of no where that worked there and was able to help us even though it was after hours. Lastly, the truck smelled bad inside and was leaking fluid in the cab and outside on our driveway! Worst experience ever!Ryan H.

We have always chosen U-Haul for our self moving needs, and have always felt U-Haul as treating us with excellence, in product, service and wonderful understanding if our time frame get messed up. However, this experience has been far less than unstatisfacory. The equipment at the Albany Oregon location was filthy. Napkins, soda dribbles on the walls of the cab of the truck, gravel on the floor boards etc. Windshield filthy as well. The clerk was pleasant and added a day to our rental, but this was not what we expected. Also...the reservation person, stated this equipment pick up location was a full service center. It was not. We were counting on being able to purchase; boxes, tap, bubble wrap, stretch wrap and more. But we instead, had to locate a Home Depot for these items at a higher cost and great inconvenience to us. On top of this, HomeDepot tape was poor quality. Nothing like U-Haul tape, which further frustrated us. Then, we found that the truck we rented was too small for what we explained we needed it for, and had to wait until 11:30 the following morning to rent a 6x12 trailer to hold the rest of our load. Then we had to drive the truck 30 miles round trip to Corvallis Oregon, to pick the trailer up. On the trip to Baker City, Oregon, the trucks transmission was not operating properly. At times, going down hill, the RPM's would be at 4500 threatening to blow seals in the motor. I used to be a mechanic, and this was not working correctly and needs to be addressed before being put out on the road again. I did explain this transmission issue to the drop off center in Baker City. Hope they put in a work order for it. The 6x12 trailer has a large buckle in the floor that we kept tripping over. This too, needs to be addressed for safety of future users. Very disappointed with the quality of the equipment this time. We love U-Haul and plan on using your equipment again around Aug 20th, 2019 and hope to have the great equipment you've usually provided us. Please, inspect your independent centers more throughly and maintenance of your fleet.kenny N.
