I first got a call from u haul on friday from U haul and was told I couldn't pick up the truck in Charlottesville where it was to supposed to be. They told me it was going to be in Scottsville Va, which was a total of 40 miles further away round trip.then Charlottesville. I arrived on location around 7:15 am at the location which was about 10 miles further away then the town of Scottsville where I was told the truck would be. I tried to self Check in but I couldn't get cell or internet service. (very remote location!!!). I went inside the little store and showed the clerk my confirmation email. She could hardly speak english she told me she didn't know about the pick-up or what to do. I told her we where already running late and I had to get on the road to Pittsburg. She called someone and spoke in a language I didn't understand. she then called U haul and spoke to someone and told him she didn't know what to do. She finally handed the phone to me. The first thing the U haul representative asked me was why I had not checked in remotely I TOLD HIM I HAD NO CELL SERVICE!!!! He said he would handle it I gave the phone back to the clerk and she listened for minute and said ok. I told her what did I need to do to get the truck now? She Asked for my drivers license which I gave her she made a copy and gave me my licence back along with a key. She said here is the key and to go out to the parking lot and find the truck then I could go. I asked again if this was all I needed to do and she said yes. She did not go out to the lot with me. I had to try 4 rucks before I found the right one. The truck had less then a 1/4 tank of gas. I left and the first thing I had to was fill up the truck I didn't think I had enough gas to get back to Charlottesville. I got on the road to my Daughter's house in Reston. Va. to pack her up for her move to Pittsburgh. I was about 90 miles away when I go a call from someone at U haul. She asked for my name which I told her. She said I would have to take the truck back to Scottsville because it had been reported stolen. I told her I WOULD NOT TAKE THE TRUCK BACK !!!!! I was already 90 miles away. She told me she would fix it and call me back. She did not call back. When I got to Reston I told my daughter what had happened. She called U haul and was told the same thing that the truck was reported stolen and we would have to take it back to Scottsville. She told the person she was talking to that they were crazy and she already had 1/2 of her belongings packed on the truck and we where taking it to Pittsburg This person also said said they would fix if it and we could be on our way. We finished packing and got on the road to Pittsburg. We had traveled about 200 miles when we got another phone call from a supervisor at U haul. She started in again FOR THE THIRD TIME. That the truck was stolen and we would have to take it back. At this point my daughter went off on her about the circumstances which we already been thew and we wanted to speak to sher supervisor. She said she was highest ranking person there and gave my daughter a phone number to call on monday.. Oh and she also said we could not drop of the truck at the location they first told us to. That we would have to drop the truck off at Pen Hills which again was another 20 miles out of the way.. Ah people I think, no i know I will never use U haul again. Yours truly a 3 time accused thief. DON'T USE U-HAUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Elwood S.

At check in App crashed then it took forever to get phone assist and then that person was unfriendly and borderline rude. Also, fuel level was wrong but with crashes app and delayed text from U-Haul I couldn't fix itTim G.
The employees present did not know how to complete the rental causing me to be an hour late leaving the pickup, the gas tank was only half full and when I returned the rental it took 15 minutes to get someone to assist me.Dwayne P.

Called 800 number. They sent me over 50 miles round trip to drop off uhaul when there were locations 7-12 miles from my location. Uhaul rep was actually waiting on rental at place of business. Rep said they had just opened up rental business there and someone was waiting on trailer to rent. I fill like I was sent to this location on purpose so they wouldn't have to go pick the trailer up at a location nearer to my home. JMJohn M.
