There was one person in charge of the entire store (mail & ups, gifts, and U-Haul). Huge line to get the truck. When we got in to the van and turned it on-there was an immediate alert for â€˜right front tire' indicator light on. So while my husband went to fill tire pressure, I ran back to inform the U-Haul representative. He was very dismissive and told me â€˜yes yes I know. It's ok' so I asked that he put it in the file right away so I wouldn't be charged or penalized after drop off if the tire pressure got low again during the rental or after drop off. He said it was in the file in my photos and â€˜no problem' then rushed me out of the store. I called u-haul right away to let them know about the tire pressure and that I'd been given a truck like this. Nothing was actually in my file-he lied. The representative on the phone assured me he'd write it in the file and gave me the number for road side assistance just in case as we would be traveling about 100kms. When I dropped the car off, I again called U-Haul as one of the drop off questions is â€˜is there any issue with the van that may impact the next family'. I selected â€˜Yes' and then spoke with a new representative. The tire issue still hadn't been reported in my file as a pre-existing issue. We'll see if they try and charge me. I have all the call info recorded- but wasn't very comforting knowing that 2 people had assured me of something that wasn't true. Thank god the tire didn't deflate on our move. Won't be using this U-Haul location again.CAROLYN H.

Overall good experience. The place was hard to find (hint: it's a gift shop); and the owner is a bit strangely aggressive but nice enough to make do. Fast in and out, easy process and didn't get over charged. If 3 stars is average, I'll give it 4 stars for being a smooth experience. Would come againReka G.

Some things were a bit confusing for my wife when returning the van - for example which kind of gas was supposed to go in the van. It took her more time than expected to get to the return location, but they kindly ignored the slight delay and did not add a day of rental. We had rented move covers and somehow there were 11 instead of 12 in the van, probably since the beginning - the UHaul employee did not make a fuss about this either. So all in all it went well and we are happy with the way everything was handled. Thank you.Sabrina P.
Upon return parking was a problem. Tough finding a parking spot. They need some designated parking. Driving around in a large vehicle with nowhere to park is no fun..roy P.

I rented a van to move a desk from one of our residences it was a work errand. Seems like there is new management at 968 King Edward. He stepped out to tend to a "family" issue at home, I waited for him for 15 mins. Not professional and I really feel sorry for his employee who he leaves everything up too while she tends to a busy canada post corner. She was gracious and gave me the msg that he had to step out and from the sounds of it, he does it often. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT HE NO LONGER BE apart of UHAUL RENTALS. THIS was frustrating and made me run late for everything I had to do. VERY dissatisfied with this transaction.Linda S.

Door was closed, hours were false and no follow up after. Left pair of sunglasses in truck, tried to contact and no answer and being sent to voicemail. Glasses were 200. This experience has been awful.Kyle F.

Awful experience. Pick up at different location and at a much later time. Notified a day in advance. The truck wasn't wiped or cleaned before us. The previous driver spilled something on the floor. The pickup took a longtime even after an online check in. We had to redo the whole process which delayed our pickup even further. We ordered a dolly which we did not receive. The back wasn't swept. The return location was changed at 7:30pm the night before the drop off. We didn't receive the notice until we had already dropped off the truck at the first location, then we had to rush it to the secondary location in order to make it for the 9am drop off. Overall, this added a lot more stress to an already stressful move. We will not use again. Zero stars. Just be better. This review is for the whole trip, not just for the pickup location.Thomas L.

I tried to use the online check-in feature, but the second checkbox said "I acknowledge that I was sent a text/email to the phone number or email address provided at the time of the rental, which provides me the opportunity to acknowledge equipment condition, cleanliness, mileage and fuel ... " etc. I did not receive that information in advance so unfortunately I could not check the box to complete the check-in in advance and had to do it in person when I picked up the van.Daryl V.

I rented a dolly but it was not in the van. I was billed for this. The self-check in process was not successful despite repeated attempts. The merchant tried to help but also had difficulties (eg. uploading picture for Live Validation)John B.
