Maybe explain the rental policy before. I had to call and be transferred several times before i got the code to unlock the truck. Due to COVID-19 there wasn't anyone at the desk (so they say) so I got transferred around until someone MARISELA finally helped. Then when I returned the truck someone came out of the place I rented the truck from and she told me I returned the keys wrong and proceeded to correct me. I said the instructions told me to place it in the mailbox key and she said no that's not correct. VERY RUDELY!Amber M.

I rented a van for $29.95, and it cost me $94. That's called "bait and switch". Your advertised rate is a lie, and it's not an honest way to do business. Also, $1.09/mile PLUS FUEL is ridiculous. The Federal Gov't allocates $0.58/mile and that includes fuel. So while the van worked great, I'm fairly disgruntled by the overall experience. I'll look for another way next time.Michael S.

The website was not working so we waited over an hour until we could get checked in. The girl working was doing her best to help us and she kept calling different UHaul managers but they weren't helpful or tried to fix the problem.Spencer N.
Much aggravation; we went to the contracted drop off location. They sent us miles away to drop off the trailer. THE SECOND U-HAUL LOCATION WAS REALLY HARD TO FIND BEHIND A HOTEL, WITH A TINY STREET-SIDE SIGN; EVEN THE ENTRANCE WAS ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE BUILDING. As it turns out, it was only a self storage facility. They refused to accept it at first.. then the manager called the first location to come pick it up from them. WE were NOT happy because we spent too much time and miles just trying to return the trailer and we were even two days early.. lost a lot of time in traffic in an familiar city.. While the truck was clean it was not well maintained. The steering was so loose that there were times that I did not feel in control while driving on the freeway and when I went to turn on the headlights the knob came out of the dash. The staff at the location were very helpful and reported these issues while I was there, and they were given approval to give me a discount due to the issues I had with the truck.Mary S.

The facility is well maintained and easy to get to from the 163 freeway. Which is great for those needing quick access to the freeway, and it is not difficult to find. It is a U-Haul partner and may accommodate your basic moving needs readily. The availability of select U-Haul trucks, items, and other necessary moving equipment however may not be as readily available. I did have to pick up an item at another U-Haul location. Staff was friendly and courteous in accommodating a pick-up date change to my online reservation. Great location!Bryan A.

My wife hit her lower leg twice on the hitch at the rear of the truck. I believe this hitch should be painted yellow or red to ensure individuals can visibly see this object that is protruding from the vehicle. As a result of her being injured I had to stop work and tend to her swelling. Then, she was unable to continue working with me to load the truck. This was an unfortunate experience.Karl F.

The dolly and bags that are staged in the uhaul are a good idea if you need them but if you don't they take up valuable space that I could have used. In order to get my entire space of storage I would have to pay extra to move them. There is a flaw in the plan of putting those items inside the uhaul.jessie L.

I reserved a truck on March 13 2014 from Monty Cavalier at 7145 Mission Gorge Rd to be available the morning of April 28th. My son drives 20 miles to pick it up only to be told he has to go to another location. UHaul finally calls me & gives the wrong directions to the new location. They said go east on Clairemont Mesa Blvd...it should have been West!! All this time, I have moving men waiting at my place for over an hour! I'm paying for their time too. The whole purpose was to rent a truck very close to my place & drive just 7 miles to the new place.to save money. Then they charged a $25 cleaning fee with nothing in the truck!!! And they only had a 1/4 tank of gas on pick up and charged $50 for 1/4.!!! I am outraged !! then they tell me about a 50.00 credit guarantee if your truck isn't ready!!!ANNIE H.

I rented a 14" truck and came to pick it up. As I was in a time crunch I took the truck and while driving noticed that 7/8 of gas tank was not correct. The indicator was showing 3/4. I took a pic of the reading, "just in case". I drove 28miles that day. Before returning the truck I put 2-3 gallons gas back. The reading was showing 3/4 full tank. The next day I get a $20 charge for fuel!!! I sent them my pic that I took and I hope they will honor that. Not happy as of now.DAN S.
