Tank was left at below 1/4â€ which is u haul standard, the interior of the truck had not been cleaned and smelled like cigarettes, and the person who checked the truck in and out was unmasked in a poorly ventilated indoor lobby with â€œmasks requiredâ€ signs posted everywhere as is state mandated. My pickup time was scheduled for 12PM. I chose to do an in-person check-in which is where I made my mistake. I admit I was about 15 minutes late, but when I got there the office was closed. There was a sign on the window saying the staff was out and to call a number. I called the number and the guy told me they would be back in about 20-25 minutes but I could check-in online. I tried for 20-25 minutes checking in online, but it only let me get so far and didn't give me the option to get a code to get the keys to the haul myself (again bc I selected the in-person option). I called at 20 minutes and the staff person told me they were in a meeting and would be another 20-25 minutes. I told him he said that 20-25 minutes ago and he said he originally said 30-45... When he finally arrived I walked in to sign and get the keys etc. and he was not wearing a mask and the phone was ringing off the hook and instead of not answering bc he was with a client, he answered every call. He then walked me to the uhaul (no walk around to check for damage) and said bye. I rented a dolly with the truck and when I opened the back, no dolly. I had to go back and ask and he was already outside taking a smoking break. If you absolutely have to use this location don't select the in-person check-in.Susan T.
Their customer service was good! Easy access from my location. Truck was ready on time, everything was as expected, and paperwork process with staff was easy. I was the only customer both times I visited, so no waiting in a line. Drop off was just as easy. No issues, no complaints, no suggestions for improvement. Thanks!Laura S.
The attendant was literally filthy, face and arms covered in grease. Also thought COVID was just a mild cold. Probably not safe to visit that location. Other than that he was quick and efficient with my U-Haul drop off.HEATHER T.

I was charged an estimated right at the time of pick up. When I dropped off the truck I was charged the actual rate. I am hoping that the incorrect rate will be deducted.CARA F.

I was originally scheduled to drop off at a different location but half way through our day we received a phone call that they were full and needed us to go to a different location. When we got to ATC auto body the app had me complete a self return which was very easy. However, once I completed the self return it then told me to return keys to a drop box. This location did not have a drop box so I tried to call the location but they were closed so no one answered. After 30 minutes on the phone with a manager for the Portland metro area they said I could leave the truck but had to take the keys to a different location. This was very inconvenient and a waste of time. Why would U-Haul allow me to do the self check in after hours at a location that doesn't allow after hours drop offs?Kevin S.

I recieved the truck w/ 1/4 tank of gas. Drove 12 total miles, put in $10 gas,dropped it off. The next day I'm being charged an extra $34 for gas. THAT'S BULLPOOP! How does 12 miles equate 8 gallons + the $10 that I put in? I have photos! Ii will NEVER rent or recomend Uhaul until this is taken care of.Lawrence A.

-I did not receive the dozen furniture pads I ordered. -The uhaul smelled strongly of cigarettes and ashes covered the dashboard. -The back of the truck was not swept out. -The cashier was not familiar with the process and even though I had checked in online & prepaid it took a very long time and took an additional employee's help to get through the process.Hanna T.

The primary business at this location is an auto paint shop. The U-haul is secondary and it shows. If you do not mind that, and are patient it is OK. The odometer reading on the paper work was inaccurate, and unfortunately I did not notice it until after I had driven away from the dealer. It was shown as 5802. It actually was 5809. My house was 2+ mile from the dealer, and I made two trips from a lumberyard a couple blocks from the U-Haul to my home for a total of 10 miles. I was charged for 17 miles instead of 10. I mentioned that to the attendant. However, when I dropped off the pickup, the attendant was busy working an auto paint job. I had total one of the employees I was returning the U-Haul and for him to tell the employee that handle U-Haul. I waited for about 15 minutes, and he never came out. So I went into the shop and found him working on a paint job. I told him about the odometer and the gas I put in. Since he was busy, he told me to set the paper work and keys on the car he was working on. This was at 11:30 AM. Sometime mid afternoon I got a call from U-Haul want to know when I was returning the pick up. I was due at 1PM. Also the gas tank was under 1/4 when I picked it up. I put in 1.5 gallons for a 10 mile trip a little extra, but it still was below 1/4 when I returned it.John H.

We booked and confirmed a truck but this location didn't prepare it so when we arrived we kept getting an error message that said "come back when we open". Customer support spent over an hour trying to help us rent a truck but none of the key codes were updated in the system so we were out of luck. UHaul did help us out with a replacement rental the next day, but we went to a different location. Be wary of after hours pick ups here.Eddy S.

The Staff was very good , helpful and courteous. The advertised rental amount is $19.95 but I ended up paying 42.97 , which is more than double. I only drove 7 miles. maybe you should add the $10 CDW charge in your rental price so it doesn't look deceiving. ThanksEric W.

This is my problem. First of all, the gentleman wasn't sure how to finish up my reservation, so I waited about 15-20 minutes just to pick up my vehicle. U-haul then PURPOSELY makes sure that I have to drop my vehicle off at the same location, so they can charge me double mileage. Instead of paying for 20 miles, i HAVE to pay 40 just to return the damn thing. Upon drop off, I have to take pictures of my vehicle. I do not have a cell phone with data. I had to borrow someone else's phone just to complete the return process. I've used u-haul twice before, and this is the first time I've had to jump through these hoops. Now I know that this company is for the financially privileged, because my $20 rental turned into a $75 rental plus gas. I will make other plans next time I need to borrow a vehicle, because I literally cannot afford to do this again.Victoria D.
The pickup took about 40 minutes because the explanation wasn't clear. When I was asked for my employer's name and phone number I did not know it would be because you would call them. I wouldn't have wasted the time I would have given them a reference. Overall the customer service was very very excellent. I had to call multiple times unfortunately and use the chat and everyone was very helpful and pleasant. I just wish I hadn't had to call them so often. I was very disappointed with the app. It never was able to connect with my order so I wasn't able to use it I had to use the website. and when I put in my profile I had to enter things multiple times because it wouldn't save them. The website and interface is quite slick but need some work. The truck itself was in excellent condition was a pleasure to drive.Carol C.

They had a problem linking their computer to your computer and lost all of my information and so they had to totally put everything back again which is time consuming so I would just suggest having your computers linked to easierPatricia K.
Truck was tucked behind a big dump truck and dumpsters. It took quite a while to find someone to rearrange things so I could get the truck out. If the store was closed (which is was later) I wouldn't have been able to retrieve the truck.kyrie H.
