Truck was parked in a snowbank, covered in snow and iced over. Back door lever keeper wouldn’t turn. Needed to thaw it out. Back door frozen shut. Box to pick up keys covered in ice.

We had reserved a truck in our town, only to be told minutes before pickup, it was no longer available. Not only was it very maddening the person who called was rude. We were told too bad. No compensation, nothing offered. I will do my best to avoid renting from you in the future. And from talking with others I’ve been told that that’s pretty standard treatment.

The customer service at this location is outstanding. There are allot of locations to rent a truck but the customer service is what makes it worth the expense. I highly recommend this company.

I really do not have an opinion of the people at the facility since everything was handled on my phone and no human interaction took place. That part worked as expected and very well. The facility looked a little beat up and parking lot also looked pretty beat up. But that did not impact my experience. The key was where it was supposed to be and the van was in the right place. All good.

The truck leaked gas while i was driving from MN to FL. There was no gassket cover for for the gas tank (the cover under the truck). It was very danger. I didn't see it because when I filled up the gas...the gasket cover where I put gas in has a cover, but the cover under the truck was missing and because is under the truck I couln't and did see and diidn't know that there was no cover. A very nice family flagged me for 10 miles before I noticed them and they pullled me over. I called uhaul and was on hold for almost an hour before someone answered the phone. By the time uhaul answered the phone, it was going to take them another hour or so to send someone to help me. The family that flagged us took my husband to get a cover. The cover didn't fit, it was too big. My husband tapped it and we drove for 3 hours and the tap came off. We drove for 3 hours and called uhaul angain. We had to spent a night in IA until the next day when uhaul will be able to send someone to help me. It is very danger to not have cover for the gas tank. It could had been a very bad turn out. I think that whoever resonsible for checking the uhaul before giving to me should do it correctly. The uhaul also had no windshiled washer at all. My husband had to go buy windshied washer and filled it up.

Email said I would receive a call the pm before the pick up and never did. Unable to reach a person to talk to clarify. Check in process was a nightmare. Reached a representative and it took 1 1/2 hours to finish the process due to kept having problems with the site. Instructions did not say to use Safari browser to use thru the process which would have saved a lot to time. Pads were NOT on the truck! Being 5 pm Sunday I was not able to get them anywhere else. I was able to get another dealer in my town (that I didn’t realize was there) to reluctantly give me the pads in the morning due to I was closing on my home in a half an hour and the movers were already there. I called Monticello UHaul to ask to please reimburse the other dealer for the pads and to return my call, but they never returned my call. The whole experience was a disaster and if I used Uhaul again it would definitely be during business hours and not at this site.

My pickup was not as expected, the 24/7 app didn't work for me and the office at my location didn't call to inform me that they actually had truck in different location. I sat in the cold for over an hour talking to techs from uhaul trying to remedy the problem. I spoke with Alexyss who was an incredible help with the situation. Drop off was smooth enough.

Horrible experience, waited almost 2 hours in 9 degree weather once we got to the truck for verification to be done, finally called the local place and she did it manually…..this made us late and we could not then use the movers we had waiting at the house to pack the truck. Never will we rent again, first experience and last!

The online verification app needs immense improvements. The photo taking portion of this process is by far the most frustrating out of any third party photo taking app that I've ever used. Improve immediately.

Little confusing on where to drop off the truck and location did not match DPS. Could use better signage for drop off. But very prompt service and sent information on drop off very timely. Key drop is small for how large the UHaul key ring is

The 5x8 trailer i rented was dirty on the outside (clean on the inside.) I took a picture of the filth when I rented the trailer. Now I'm being charged $16.05 for a trailer cleaning. This charge is ridiculous and should be canceled.

I would recommend to the next customer if doing contact less pick up not to bother to purchase equipment apparently there is no way to get furniture pads and they did not leave them in the truck but I was charged for them.

Really frustrated!! I used the app for after hours rental. I was supposed to get the code to unlock the truck's key but never did. Try to call customer service by phone and chat and I didn't get an answer until 1 hours and 10 minutes. At this time my rental time was running. The app is not reliable. They should communicate important information via text or email. I spent a whole hour on this location tryin to get my code.

The online check-in was not working and there were no personnel to ask. U-haul was unable to track my location on my phone, stating my phone had it disabled. I had to quickly install the app to use this check-in and check-out feature. My location permissions on my browser were enabled- but for some reason U-haul website could not recognize my location without app installed.

Not labeled. Drop box didn't allow your key and tag to fit so we used the drop box next to it. Multiple businesses there. The miles you allowed me were from my house to the drop off location. So I rented a truck to move things and got ZERO MILES before you started charging mileage. That is ridiculous.

Make the key drop off location a bit more apparent(maybe also have a note/sign saying “key drop off for U-Haul”. I wasn’t too sure if I was dropping the keys off in the right location.

How about improving my experience that I had. Inconvenience to me as a customer. Due to I scheduled a pick-up in Buffalo 2 weeks prior to my pick-up date and was in formed a day before that the location pick-up place was changed. For the inconvenience I was told that I would receive and discount on my purchase and it didn't happen.

Frustrating when you reserve a truck and get told two days prior to pickup that you don't have a vehicle at the location you chose. I had to drive from Elk River to Monticello and back to Elk River the day before my move. Then I had to drive to Montrose the next day to move, passing through Monticello once again. I'm not sure my mileage was adjusted for this extra trip, but I'd like for that to be checked out.

Instead of me driving 30 miles bring to local area. Originally supposed to drive to Princeton or Zimmerman and ended up in Monticello. This was 45 minutes one way drive. I would like to say that the movers, thru Moving Help.com never showed up. Even not being owned by U-Haul, it is connected link.
