One day before picking up the Uhaul that I had reserved 2-3 weeks prior, my pickup location was arbitrarily changed to a location IN A NEIGHBORING STATE! It would have been a 3 hour round trip to pick up the trailer as opposed to the location I had selected which was 5 minutes down the road. When I called customer service, I was told by the agent that I had agreed to that when I made the reservation. I was offered $50 in compensation (which wouldn't even cover the gas back and forth). After some conversation, my reservation was switched to another location 10 miles away and a pickup later in the day. When I called to confirm that reservation, that location informed me that they too did not have the equipment I had reserved and the central scheduling agent was new. They transferred my reservation to a location 25 miles from my house but, thankfully still in the state I reside! Once I found the location that had my trailer, they were extremely helpful. They were a new U-Haul dealer and were trying to make my experience better. The trailer was the only one they had in their lot and it was in pretty rough shape, but useable.Brad D.

I was automatically charged $25 for Safe Tow insurance I declined when I made my online reservation, was never asked for and was not provided an opportunity to decline at pick up - the rep had me sign the contract on his smartphone without showing me the breakdown of charges. I was also charged $10 for a dolly I did not request during my online reservation, that was not provided nor was I provided an opportunity to decline at pick up. I will be requesting a refund of this $35 in deceptive charges.Grayson M.
