The pickup and return mobile process was very easy and quick. I was surprised at how well it went. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. My only complaint is petty, but has to do with the location. We arrived at 6a and it was raining so we took shelter under the buildings awning to start our pickup process, but we quickly opted for rain when we looked up and saw at least half a dozen giant spiders and their spider webs.Alex G.

The truck floor had an oily coating on it which mad it very slippery. We had to mop the floor to make it safe enough to step on. The A/C only came out the defrost vent. It took 30 minutes to cool offWILLIAM R.
I had reserved my uhaul at Compass Self Storage, 10 minutes before picking up my uhaul they said they did not have my truck and that I had to drive further to get my truck. I was prommised that I would not have to pay for the extra mileage because I was renting from further away. Well, I got my bill and guess what. I was charged for all the mileage I had to incure by going out of my way to pick up and rent the uhaul from a much further location. So Uhaul did not have my truck. I had to rent further away, and I had to pay for more mileage because of it. I was told by Compass that they would reimburse the extra mileage. Even brought it up to the lady working at Beechwood. But in the end it was not true. Oh and the truck had serious vibration issues at speeds 35, 45, 55 mph.Richard M.

The reason I moved my things out of this unit is because of the rude lady in the office who had the audacity to charge my account without warning. I came to move some stuff out of my unit on a Sunday since we are moving into a house. First of all, they were doing blacktop which I was unaware of. I didn’t receive an email or a text. Also, I wasn’t the only one there. A couple people were also angry about this as they too were trying to take things out of storage. Second of all, everything in my unit was waterlogged, covered in mold and completely ruined. I had to throw away brand new couches, mattresses, a brand new crib and all kinds of household decor because of this. The dumpsters were full so my husband did his best to put things where they could go as quickly as possible since the blacktop people were yelling at us to leave, which was also extremely rude. Us and some other people were scrambling to get our units taken care of and get out of there. It was also raining so I don’t know how they were going to do blacktop anyways. What really made me upset was, a lady named Sherry called me on Monday while I was working. I called back and no one answered so I was routed to an automated system. A guy answered that and told me he didn’t know why they called and left all my information to have the lady call me. The next day, still no returned call, so I called back again with no answer. The automated call center assured me my note was in there and that someone would call me back even stating they sent out an email to the specific person who called me. I was in New York at this time for a family funeral, when Wednesday I noticed a charge of $150 was taken out of my account. I was obviously enraged since no one had returned my call so I could tell them my unit had water damage and I was dissatisfied. I immediately called the unit and would you imagine, someone actually answered. The lady the answered my call was one of the rudest individuals I have ever spoken with in my life. She explained she charged my account because she is “5’2” and doesn’t like cleaning up after people” she also stated that she “didn’t care my stuff was ruined”. When I told her about the blacktop people she stated “we called and told everyone.” Which was also false. She ended up hanging up on me. I made my husband call back because I was so enraged. When he called and explained everything to her again, she explained she’s too short to deal with the dumpsters and that’s why she charged my account. She also stated she saw me personally on camera overflowing the dumpsters. I am 5 months pregnant. I didn’t put anything in a dumpster. I even asked her if she charged the others who were there the $150 because they too were putting things in the dumpster and she said no she didn’t want to charge them because we had more things. She also then said she was charging me another $150 because “her boss said she could”. When we asked to speak to her boss/supervisor she stated he was out of town. We then asked how he approved of her charging my account fraudulently again if he wasn’t there to hear the situation and she hung up on us again. I called my bank and they put a claim on the charge. I also canceled my card and filed a report with the damages that were done. When we returned from New York, my husband went and emptied out the rest of my unit and we ended up renting somewhere else. My husband went in the office and talked to a different lady who stated what we went through was wrong and my husband even mentioned how the dumpsters were overflowing that day so he had to put some things next to it. She responded: “That’s fine. Rumpke takes care of that anyways. We don’t touch it.” So the lady that’s “5’2” with blonde hair and a massive attitude had no right charging my account. I was a loyal customer for over a year and never missed a payment. The lady I dealt with on the phone is a disgrace to your company. I've never felt more like a criminal trying to rent a truck every other word was â€œdon't steal the truck.â€ They made me feel like they already expected me to break the law with the truck and steal it and part it out and never return it, over drive it, treat it poorly, not fill the gas, and return it late. So when I returned it in 6 hours instead of 10 with a full tank of gas, driving under a total of 25 miles, I felt unappreciated. So I will never come back here. In fact, I will advise people to go somewhere else.CODY S.

I would normally not leave a review but the two women at this office were so helpful - I wish I had gotten their names. I had a reservation with one of your competitors for 12/28 and when I arrived (after getting a confirmation email) was told they had zero trucks available at any location.....THEY told me to go to Uhaul or Penske. I immediately drove to UHaul and not only was I able to get a truck but a larger truck....for less.....and no aggressive deposit. The women working there even offered me lunch. They were just doing their job but it was very much appreciated during my frantic morning and moving/holidays....etc. THANK YOU!Melissa W.

This was the worst Uhaul experience I've ever had in my life. I lived in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. I called 2 weeks ahead of time to reserve a one way 26' truck and was told I could pick it up right down the street from me @ 8:30. I scheduled the movers to arrive at 9:30. The day before everything was scheduled to happen I got a text to call Uhaul to confirm my reservation. When I called I was told there wasn't a 26' truck at that site and only 1 in the entire TriState. I was to pick it up in Independence, KY @ 9:15. Not only was this out of the way it was in a completely different state. I had to call the movers and ask them to not arrive until 10:30. I drove to that dealer (30 miles out of the way). When we arrived we were told that truck was out and the guy said he was only 10 minutes out. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked for an update. She said the renter quit answering his phone. At 10:00 my nephew (who was going to drive the truck for me) told me to go back to the house so I'd be there when the movers arrived so they could start carrying items out of the house. At 10:30 our reserved truck still hadn't arrived. At that point my nephew asked if we could rent a "local" truck. Local means you pay extra for any mileage over the allotted amount. And, it had to be returned to that location, (Independence, KY). At this point we were desperate so we rented the "local" truck. We loaded my belongings in Lawrenceburg, IN. We drove to Harrison, OH to my new place to unload the truck. After a long day of moving we had to the return the truck to Independence, KY. This whole experience SUCKED. I hope I never have to use Uhaul againJAMES J.

The trailer I rented had blankets in it when I picked it up. It was also dirty with dried mud. I blew it out with a leaf blower when I finished using it, and returned it exactly the way I'd picked it up. I was also charged $15 for a coverage that I'd waived. My bill was $80 to rent a trailer for less than 2 days. I've used your services many times in the past, but I'm buying my own trailer come next business day. I'll not use uHaul again...Also your trailers are all beat to hell.George L.
