The receipt is in error. No one was at the location when I returned the truck the customer service guy said the office was closed and instructed me to place keys in drop box. I returned the truck at 3:15pm. Trying to reach the location by phone was impossible and was given different phone numbers which were in error. I will report this company to the Better Business Bureau.elaine P.

Stop allowing reservations to be made that's not available. It's inconvenient, unprofessional and unreliable. Uhaul has been around too long for this to still happen! Get a better strategy!!Penney B.

Don't offer a 24/7 service if it's not really 24/7. The keys were in the lock box outside the uhaul rental business, bit uhaul never processed my payment apparently and I was unable to do mobile check in. I had to wait 2 hours until the store opened to get the rental. When I called customer service, Carol was zero help and couldn't even tell me what was wrong. She placed me on hold multiple times and eventually hung up, after 45 minutes. As if moving isn't stressful enough. Thankfully, the moving company was able to schedule us a later time to accommodate us getting the truck 2 hours late. I will never use uhaul again because of this incident.Kyle H.

Uhaul does not monitor their trucks. We took out a 15' truck to move storage from a facility in Goochland, VA to another facility in Richmond. We live in Charlottesville. Truck was to be dropped off in Richmond and everything should have been done in under 150 miles. The interior rear passenger tire blew out less than 15 miles away from the location while we were on the express lane of the highway causing us to swerve all the way over to the shoulder. Roadside assistance was contacted through the app but kept timing out. Finally the app worked and 5 (FIVE!) hours later, our truck was fixed. Given this ordeal, we lost a lot of daylight (critical when moving stuff out of a storage unit); we had to drive back to Charlottesville that night and return to Goochland/Richmond the next day. Obviously this added miles and we were clearly going to exceed the 150 miles. So you would think Car N Go (the drop off location) would not charge us the extra 100+ miles incurred as a result of their tire blowing out? Nope, they got their money! But no worries because Timothy Pinelli, Area Field Manager for Uhaul was able to refund $75...? Bottom line, don't rent with Uhaul!Saji C.

Next time don't send me to a place that don't have the vehicle I wanted. Uhaul has messed up my time schedule and put me back by a day and a half ! As far as the location of my pick up them guys were excellent and worked with me and did what they had to do to have a happy customer but I recommend them guys drop they uhaul contract. It is important that U-Haul notify the customer that there are only certain locations in the Virginia area that take back trailers. I went to three (3) different locations before I found one (1) that would take back the trailer. That was extremely confusing and frustrating.John S.

No one helped me hook the trailer to my truck. It was super heavy and I did it wrong. Nearly lost the trailer due to my own inexperience. Luckily, no damage was done to my vehicle or the trailer.Joseph C.
When you are refueling the vehicle to its former exact fuel level, there should be some monetary compensation when you go over the former fuel level when returning the vehicle, as I did. When I asked for a credit/deduction on my rental bill for surpassing the former fuel level,. I was told â€œU-Haul doesn't give any credit for that â€œMICHAEL M.

I had a horrible experience in renting and picking up my truck from U-Haul. I rented a 10 ft truck to be picked up in Roanoke, Va (where I live). I never received a confirmation text from U-Haul about picking up the truck. I had to call the day before my scheduled pick up time to find out what time and where I was to go. I was told that I had to travel 1 hour to Moneta, Va to pick up the U-Haul vehicle at 8am 6/15/19. I arrived on time only to find no truck available for me to pick up. I spent well over 2 hours on the phone with U-Haul toll free number and the Williamson Rd (Roanoke, Va) location only to be redirected to a regional office on Richmond, Va. My husband and I were told that we would now have to dive 1.5 hours to Danville, Va where we were told a truck would be available for us. Accommodations were made which I do appreciate but I should have never been placed in a situation in which an accommodation was needed due to poor scheduling. When a customer reserves a vehicle through your organization, a vehicle should be available for them where they scheduled to pick it up...period. Previous renters should not be permitted to not turn the vehicles in late under any circumstance if it has already been reserved by another customer. I was completely inconvenienced. I will not use U-Haul again after this experience nor will I recommend your company.Leigh S.

I really appreciate Mike and Rudy taking care of me after my reservation with Budget was not honored and I had to scramble that day. Also big appreciation to another location - Millers Auto Center at 11702 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 23113. I was given a reservation for a truck through the UHaul online system for a truck that was not available, but Mr. Miller got on the phone and made arrangements for me to have the truck at Car N Go.CAROLE Y.

I was switched at the last moment to the Hull Street (for me) out of the way location. Two days before, I had stopped by the original Broad Street location and confirmed pick up at that location as it was close to where I would be loading and allow me to quickly start my trip. The Hull Street address is an auto audio shop. The clerk was friendly, but I had to clean mud out of the trailer before I could load it.Terry B.
