One of the trailer chains was old and had a lot of slack in it. They tried to tighten it, but it loosened up while driving and because it was hitting the road it started giving off sparks which I saw in my mirror. I went to another U-Haul location and they replaced the bad chain for me.Holly D.

Truck was going to seal the crack right side rear view mirror check engine light on and a slight smell of rotten eggs oxygen sensor agree with faile The rebel person was very cordial and did his job well the maintenance part of the truck was the problem truck was returned to the new truck give them to us that truck at about the same problem check engine light came on we were stuck for overnight post4 hours not a good experience too expensive for the problems I think we need a refund I will never forget The experiencedavid B.

The pick place was not the issue. I reserved a 20' truck for 10:00 pick up at The Stay Center. When I called to verify it was ready it wasn't there. I kept calling and they never had the truck I had reserved but the told me they had a smaller truck if that would work when I went to check it out I got a call from U-haul on why I hadn't picked up the truck yet. I told her I didnt pick it up because it wasn't there. She told me the truck had been ready since 10:00 and asked why I hadn't gone to pick it up? I told her my confirmation and reservation was to pick it up at The Stay Center. I read it to her off the reservation I was sent from U-haul. She kept saying well its at Detail King. How am I supposed to know that???? She said it was a miss communication. This isn't miss communication it was poorly handled. This situation cost me handling the items two additional times. The letter clearly states The Stay Center. She made no offer to make this right, offer a discount or a sincere apology????? This was a very frustrating situation that caused additional stress and work on my part.lambert B.

Have an experienced person at the desk. I was quoted a price of $18+ to rent a 8x10 trailer to go 20 miles to the next town, Prineville. At the end of a VERY slow paperwork process, I was informed since I would be leaving the trailer at my destination and not returning it, the cost would be $39+, and after hooking up the trailer, I was informed that I would have to purchase a $10+ plug-in adapter to match the trailer's wiring. $50+ rather than the original $18+ I thought I was being charged. Aside from all the hidden costs, this process took well over 30 minutes, while I had helpers waiting on me. Explaining my hurry meant nothing to the person behind the counter. These people that are allowed to work during this Corona virus should appreciate the fact that they are working at all, enough to treat their customers with a little dignity.Ronald E.

How seriously, can UHaul accept a booking, and then tell me at the last minute that I'll have to drive an extra 1.5 to 2 hours total on my day of pickup to get the trailer I was promised? At origin, you owe me about 2 hours plus fuel, vehicle use, my time, etc. and at destination, I wasn't even allowed to return the trailer in San Diego as originally promised. Had to go to another city/zip, wasting more of my time. Pitiful that you folks do this to people and my time/vehicle/fuel is only worth $50?Eric L.
Location was supposed to open at 8am. Nobody shows up till 8:30am. Car trailers are basically inaccessible on the lot without moving other vehicles. Counterman took almost an hour to process the order. Never ever had a problem with U-haul before but these guys need some coaching.JIm D.

No advisory to connect chains to the vehicle placed on the car hauler. Left front strap shorter than the right one and would NOT fit over the tire and into the ratchet. Had to spend an hour finding a strap from an old garage to Jerry-rig a strap, and buy another to secure my son's Exterra.MICHAEL F.

For after hours pick up, there needs great improvement. It took an hour and a half to get the access code via smartphone to get the key for the U-Haul. I understand the necessity for assurance that the right person is picking up the unit, but a little more need for verification should be done on initial registration. Once all verifiable, assured information is done, access code should be issued. Was a very frustrating ordeal. Thank you though for the discount of the whole use of the U-Haul, and when in need I will do it again. Thank You.Dennis B.

Trailer hitches on your box trucks rarely fit privately owned trailers. There is not enough room between the truck bumper and the ball for the trailer hitch to fit tightly over the ball. My trailer would not attach, so I returned the uhaul truck and was charged for one day use. I had the truck for 30 minutes.Susan Y.

They were not there to give me the truck. We had to wait an hour and battle with Uhaul corporate to get somebody down there. Then when it was all done we were overcharged and the reservation was changed. Since i was given no paperwork i trusted the online reservation but Brandon changed the agreement and charged more then i authorized and Corporate doesn't care.nicholas W.
