The first truck we got had a leaky gas tank. I discovered this when I put $25 worth in the tank and it started spilling out on the ground under the truck. When I returned the truck, the man told me I would be reimbursed the $25, but my receipt does not reflect that and the total amount has been charged to my bank account.

Truck only had 1300 miles on. Immaculate condition and ran like a dream. Automated mileage when renting was a tad short but was only 6 miles less than predicted when rented.

Hire people who aren't so rude I had a horrible experience and I will not ever use uhaul for anything again and I will make sure none of my aquaintances use uhaul either.

The truck was at an animal feed store location. It was fenced in and looked secure. The chickens had roosted on it, so it was very dirty. The store said they put 10 gallons of gas in it because it was drained by someone. They didn’t say the fuel return cap was missing. Long story short, we got stranded on the highway dumping fuel and waiting for parts and service to arrive. Renting the truck and a car pulled at another location took us 7 hours from leaving the house to return. Lost a day and a lot of gas.

We dropped our trailer off, but apparently it was never logged in, as 6 days later I received a phone call from U-haul wondering why I had not returned the trailer, even though business personnel showed us where they wanted the trailer backed in and unhooked it. Now I've suddenly received copy of a receipt saying it was dropped off 3 days later than it actually was.

The rental price for the equipment was way more than it has been in the past. I used to rent a car hauler for $230-$300 now it's over $400. Come on, that's way too much. I don't ever plan on using U-Haul again!
