The person who helped me was very nice. However, I reserved a small moving truck online 1 mile from my house. 2 days before needing it, I get a call that I have to pick it up 25 minutes from my house at another location on the morning I needed it...Seriously?! (So I ended up having to pay for an Uber to get there so I wouldn't need to leave my car there.) When I get there, the guy says they don't have any furniture dollies for moving furniture - and I had reserved one. Seriously?! He said they might? have one at another location nearby. Ok, I guess, since I really didn't have a choice at this point...However, the other location wouldn't be open for another 25 minutes....Unbelievable! I said I had people waiting to meet me helping to move the furniture, and didn't want to wait that long. So I said to forgot about the furniture dollie and we will just have to move stuff with out it....So, UHaullLocation was fine, and like I said, guy running things was very nice/helpful, but based on the above, I would NOT recommend Uhaul to a friend, and will look for other options in the future...ROBERT B.

I was very surprised to see how dirty the van was inside, but specially now with covid they are definitely NOT cleaning or sanitizing the equipment. The van was absolutely disgusting, crumbs, hairs, dust and god knows what elseArthur T.
The battery on the truck died and I had to spend $70 to have it jumpstarted. U-Haul roadside assistance never responded to the request. I would not recommend this location or U-Haul itself.Sean D.

The Baltimore national pike location saved me from 4132 Old Columbia Pike Ellicott City, MD 21043. That location screwed up royally not even leaving me a truck for an after hours pickup. Terrible service for old Columbia pike. I had to sit on hold with uhaul for 20 minutes to direct me to the other location that saved me.DEBORAH F.

The staff was not familiar with online dropoffs. He kept me waiting for 30-40 min and treated another person who used the traditional drop-off first. If I understand correctly, I don't need to talk with the staff. It was a very frustrating experience, and I regretted choosing the online drop-off too. U-haul should train the staff. Thanks.Masaya F.

It was not contactless. The man at the location keeps the keys inside with him. I looked in the truck forever for the keys after doing the online check in. He keeps the keys behind the cash register. This was supposed to be contactless.Katherine S.

The vehicle had not been swept out or vacuumed in some time. The driving experience was also not ideal. The alignment on the steering wheel was off, which made it more difficult to drive. It had also been recommended that we use the "quick" check in with the app to avoid contact during the pandemic. The entire experience with customer service through the app was miserable. When asked to verify my identity through a secondary contact, I had to give three different points of contacts because each time when they answered, all they could hear was static. When telling the representative through the app what the problem was, I was told that it was an issue on my end and that no one was picking up. Yet, I was seeing the people answer the phone. The representative ended up ending the session and disconnecting. When trying to call customer support, I was put on hold for 30 minutes after an expected wait time of 5 minutes had been issued. In the end, I had to wait an hour to receive the ok to rent the vehicle and receive the keys. The pickup/drop-off location was fine, but the experience with customer service and poor maintenance on the vehicle soiled the experience overall.Alec L.

I recently posted this review on Google, verbatim: "I'm not much of a germaphobe, but oh my, this was an icky experience, to put it kindly. Rented two 15' trucks from here recently on separate days. Both were filthy. One had cigarette ash in it, the other smelled like dip. Sticky cupholders, sticky seats, sticky steering wheels. Had to spend 15 minutes sanitizing each truck when I got them, would have sent them back if I wasn't in a time crunch, or confident anything would be done about it. First truck was also missing the equipment I reserved, which I did not discover until after I got to my apartment. Should have checked, yes, but still. Luckily I wasn't charged. Second truck was better until they charged me $10 because I didn't fold the blankets I was given. Which is concerning for two reasons. One, obviously - $10 for blanket folding? WTF? Two, this would lead one to believe that nothing is done to treat these blankets between uses by customers. So whatever's been on someone else's stuff, I've been touching and getting all over my stuff. Otherwise, they would fold the blankets themselves. If they are treating them, then why do I need to fold them? Awful. Gross. Zero stars. Clean up your act U-Haul, literally."Andrew T.

Wipe down steering wheels and interiors. Just about every truck I have rented is dusty/dirty on the driver compartment. Mobile pick up process should not require anything but photo and license, especially if you are a repeat customer. Waiting for a rep to call my wife at the alternate # delays the process and what's the value?Drew C.

The after hours pick up service was incredibly difficult to use. We had significant issues after our reservation â€œexpired.â€ Customer service was difficult to reach. There was no heads up about the process or instructions. It wasn't even clear that â€œalternative contactsâ€ would be expected to answer the phone at that time. Seriously poor communication and I will not be using this this option again. The return was significantly easier. Truck was clean and useful.Kenneth W.

Vehicle condition: driver's side window did not lower well. Had to push glass down after cranking window. Ordered a set of furniture pads but half of them were wet and could not be used. Personnel at location were friendly and attentive.David S.
The back of the truck was not swept clean by the previous renter. The associate "Imran" was very swift and efficient. I was finished in less than four minutes when I picked up the truck and the gas station is open 24 hours/day for drop off.Torrie K.
