I called them and told them i would be dropping off thursday evening, he was not helpful. When i got there it was after hours and my drop off app would not work at that location, so I left the truck and put the key in the drop off box. I called there first thing Friday morning and explained what happened, he said give me 30 minutes and hung up on me. he went ahead and charged me an additional day with no phone call. PISS POOR SERVICE

I pulled in the lot and the shed that had the Uhaul logo had a closed sign on it, after a few minutes I saw two men without masks or uhaul uniforms, one pointed me to a building that had no uhaul signage on it, I arrived at 12:40 and didn't leave until 2:30 due to the incompetentcy of the staff, the trailer was damaged on both sides and the app to verify condition timed out after I declined the first picture and took another one, the pictures on the app did not match the trailer that I was given at all, this was the worse experience I have had at a uhaul and I rent trailers often to move cars we restore.

while the gates to the compound were open, the office was closed on Mondays.. I thought their site showed open when I looked up the hours of operation. I was able to do the return through the app, which wasn't too bad once I was going through the process. Also, I never did get any confirmation of equipment return or receipt.

customer service was terrible lady came out and acted as if she didnt know why I was there even tho they obviously stay there....waited over and he to get through to customer service...worst experience I've had with uhaul...the return truck process was terrible online I had to take pics six times....not pleased at all

Location was not staffed. Online check in took about 30 min. Did not receive the utility cart I ordered. I had to drive 10 miles both ways to another UHaul location to retrieve one. Another 30 min. Was charged extra for miles that. Timing for my crew was thrown off and I was charged for UHauls screw up. I will avoid UHaul in the future if possible.

We chose the mobile pick-up option for contactless purposes and quicker service. We were there for over 40 minutes trying to get help because we were told we had to pick up the key from the office yet it was in the truck the whole time. The service was extremely slow and we wasted a good portion of our time.

The Michigan Street location guy was trying his best To help/accommodate me but it was frustrating that my pick up had been moved to this location. In the future... please don't move my pick up location twice and each time make it further from my house!!

The inside of the truck was dirty. I immediately had to get gas because it was not fuel. The person waiting on me took a call while waiting on me. This made him ask me the same question several times. In this COVID environment mask were not worn.

Give the location funds for improvement...computer system seemed outdated. Paul was amazing and helpful, above and beyond at every step of the way. He absolutely turned a horrible day (broken down van nowhere near home) around (car carrier behind a truck, home in 6 hours).

When we arrived, the online reservation didn't seem to work. So we had to call into the office (as they were taking precautions due to COVID-19, which is fine with me) we ended up upgrading to a bigger size truck, but then had to wait to get our truck, because the one we were assigned was parked in. There were multiple other options that we could have switched to but instead we were just told to wait until someone else with keys came by. The two employees that were speaking with us then drove off in to U-Hauls, telling us just to wait. This was definitely strange customer service. In addition the gas tank policy is not very clear. We were told to return the truck with the same amount of gas as when we left. The gauge was on full, so we filled it before returning the tank. This ended up being 6 gallons of gas, despite only driving the truck for 12 miles. When I asked, I was told "you only have to fill it back to the F on the gauge, you stop it right on that F" (which is of course not possible, as the truck is turned off when pumping gas). We could have returned it without putting any gas in it as the gauge is clearly not very accurate, but instead we did the right thing. That was a bit frustrating, as I could have easily saved myself $10

This location was like you were at someone's junky house. The "office" was a cluttered mess with home items and no service counter or anything. You could hear a family member doing dishes or something. It made me very uncomfortable and the man doing the contract was very strange.

The truck was filthy inside, anything I put in the cab was instantly covered in dirt. The man who assisted me first quoted me a much higher amount, then insisted on explaining to me in great detail how to drive and operate a pickup. He also tried to touch my arm. I was uncomfortable and felt like he was being condescending.

My original drop off location was to be in Mishawka at (Express 2 Go) after searching all over for this location we called and were told that location is no longer in business and we have to go to the South Bend location. U-Haul needs to update their system!

I was not happy with my rental experience for multiple reasons. I had made a booking online adn filled out the details for the express checking. When I arrived at the rental place it still took forever and I had to give all my details again.It took a while (approx. 15 min). I had also indicated I did not need insurance, but got charged the $14.95. I had also booked a appliance dolly ($10), but these were not available. I got a normal dolly ($7) instead, but got charged for the appliance dolly. Finally I only drove approx. 15 miles, but got charged for 20.

Don't rent from this place!!!! I told them from the start I only needed the truck for 1 day and he tried from the start to rent it to me for 2 days, I returned the truck 9 and a half hours before they opened and followed the instructions inside the key drop box. Then later that day I find they charged me for the 2nd day his reasons for doing it is that I didn't down load a app. on my phone and do his job of checking in the truck. He said if you read your contact you can that it said you had to do it , I told him how am I going to read something I don't have the return box wanted the key and the contract , he responded oh we are going to change that. He said that he told me all about doing the return but my son and I never heard anything about it from him, but we did hear how he has the on set of demencha and how he thinks con's ate a waste of time. So don't rent from this place or you might get the shaft too !!!!

i'm a little confused why this location was so much more expensive than others in the area. they gave us a discount that seemed like a deal, but was still higher than other uhaul's... so i'm just confused what happened there.

They charged us a cleaning fee when the truck was returned exactly as is. This representative at this location was very rude. Kept hanging up on Us when we were calling about the charge. We had to go to the location.

Please review the hours of operation, "manager" claimed they were not open on Sundays despite the U haul site listing Sundays, as well as their door listing open on Sundays. Appears this is a residential address because someone answered the door in their pajamas. despite being one of 2 U haul customers, took 75 minutes to check in leave with attached trailer. upon return "manager" was not present during listed hours of operation. I completed the return on the U-Haul App.

Unprofessional, unorganized, and unreliable. I set up a pick up for 3:45 the “Manager Paul” called and asked if I could come get the truck earlier because “he had things to do”. So I shuffled things around with the people helping me move and showed up early like he requested, then waited 10+ minutes for him to get there. The inside of the building smelled and was dirty. I asked him to walk and talk over the truck with because I never had driven a large vehicle. He completely blew off the situation. The truck had soda stains and cigarette ash everywhere but smelled better than the building. If I choice to use uhaul again I'll go to a different location.

The furniture pads were damp and not clean. I opened the bag and noticed green stains and a mildew-like smell as the pads were taken out and unfolded.

I was dropping off a 15' truck and an auto transport. There was barely enough space to turn around. It would be much better if there was a way to pull through (2 places to enter/ exit), or if the trucks had not been parked so close. People were super friendly though.

The location and the ruck were fine, and the employee who eventually helped me because the online check-in process failed horribly was great. The rental reservation process and pick up were about as awful as they could have been. I placed my reservation online 3 weeks in advance. When our moving date changed, I immediately updated my reservation - still 2 weeks in advance. The day before I was due to pick up my truck - less than 24 hours beforehand - everything went sideways on U-Haul's end. First, I was told my original reservation at the original location wouldn't be ready on time. They transferred my reservation to another location, but then the reservation time was 2.5 hours later than I had requested. I called the location and they moved the time up to the correct pick up time. Then U-Haul dispatch called and said my truck wouldn't be available at the second location at the reserved time, if it would be available at all. They call me back an hour later and tell me it will be available, but I have to pick it up an hour later than requested. Fine. I show up at the location at the new time and start the online check in process. After the system says it's authorizing me for 10 minutes I find an employee who does the check-in for me, who lets me know he had my truck ready for me AT MY ORIGINAL TIME. I needed this truck to move from an old rental to my new home. We had friends helping with the move who I had to keep updated lest I waste their time. And I still ended up 30 minutes late because the online check-in was so bad. When I was told I may get a smaller truck than the one I reserved (a 26 footer was necessary for the job) I asked what U-Haul intended to do to make it right. Nothing. No apologies for all the confusion and chaos. No promise to make it up to me for giving me the run around. Just complete disregard for my needs. The amount of stress I went through with this reservation was ridiculous and completely preventable, and should I require a truck rental at some point in the future I'll do anything to avoid U-Haul again, even if it means I have to spend more money.

Rented a trailer for 6hrs online picked up at noon wasn't told they hrs were only 9AM to 4pm being an extra day my return time was 6pm never us this location again also a didnt know you can use a residential for a uhaul location

took > 30 minutes to check out van even with pre-registration. Seat cushion was un-even,made driving painful Truck was only 1/8 tank, made it impossible to return at same level.
