The truck was not stocked with all of the items ordered and we were not notified ahead of time. This was a self check out so I could only call the main UPS number. The truck cab also had trash in it and was almost on empty so I had to get gas right away. I then had to drive 20 miles to another open UPS location to get the items I needed. Adding to my days delay was the self check in process. It took a lot of time. By the time I got to the location, checked in to get the keys, called UPS, got gas, drove to another location to get missing items and got to my house, I lost almostt 2 hrs. During this time, the movers I hired per hour, were waiting for an hour doing nothing and I had to pay them $75 more because of this dealy caused by UHaul. To add on, after being told by 3 different UHaul peoe.that I'd be reimbursed or not charged for the missing items, I was charged and had to spend hours trying to get service to get reimbursed which finally occurred. Basically I had to rent the equipment at the 2nd location and be reimbursed by the 1st. It was about $33.00.Bruce H.

Ash tray was in the granny's attic of the cab, lighter left in cup holder. Was told I could drop off Saturday and put key in box and I would not be charged for 2 days because they have cameras. When I got the bill I was overcharged $60 for 2 days insurance, 2 days rental. Location said they would make it right, it made me mad. Your website left me with the impression that a larger truck would be available there the week before but website changed the location. I am glad that I am done with needing uhauls because if you look at my account I"ve rented a lot of trucks from you since December of 2021.Tracey V.

Customer service was absolutely horrible. I called to get help with the mobile pickup I was told to just watch the video and the Customer service rep. Was so rude and just didn't come across as helpful. I couldn't upload the pictures of the dirty truck and broken mirror for some reason the app wouldn't take thr pictures. I lost an hour just trying to get the box unlocked.ANTONIO B.
The only issue I had was the mileage was wrong on that truck my daughter followed me in my car had less miles on it black truck and I noticed a couple times and mileage clicked and I haven't even went a quarter of a mile I did let the tenant know something is not right with thatSARAH B.

Had a 2 pm reservation no one was at the location made several call to uhaul to get some help. Representative basically told me to wait. Someone finally arrived at location at 330 pm. Waited an hour and half before someone arrived. Horrible experience.James L.

This was the worst uhaul experience ever. If I could the world not use this company I would!!! Crap equipment, the roadside assistance department is not properly trained to handle customers. They sent a repairman, and they should know the repair we needed could not be repaired on the road.Steve G.

I do the check in myself thing. I get there about 4:45 I was suppose to pick the truck up at 4:30. Go to the u lock box and the code they're giving me on the app doesn't unlock the box the woman comes out and says here's the key. I get in the truck and it looks terrible inside looks like there's cigarettes ashes everything and under the drivers sit it looks like someone dumped and box of smashed up crackers. So kinda irritated at this point. I didn't even check inside the box of the truck to she if the dolly and moving pads I got was in there. I get home and look and they aren't in there. I call back to the place tell her and she said she didn't see it on the list then she said besides we don't have any dollys. Besides all of that the truck has a huge exhaust leak right behind the cab the brakes sounds horrible the power steering whines so loud you can't hear anything around you when turning and you can't even talk to the person in the cab with you because EVERYTHING rattles.Darryl A.

Helpful and friendly. Maybe a few instructions on simple things, like pairing phone, turn on bay lights. It could even be a small booklet or a few web pages so you know before hand.KEITH M.
They didn't park the truck outside so it pushed moving by a few hours. The lady working was very nice though no issues with her - but the truck should've been parked outside the gate for my mobile pickup. The truck was super old too.ALEX M.

I had the best experience, both at pick up and drop off. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I have used u-haul in the past, but the Kannapolis location is overall the most efficient and professional. I will use them for all of my moving needs in the future.DENISE B.

My wife and I just closed on our house hence the need for a Uhaul truck. The following night, we got an alert from our credit card company that someone had attempted an $8000 charge. We later found out that Uhaul had charged $36,000 for whatever reason. Our spending card for the move was frozen and the urgent expenses that we needed to take care of for the week were rejected. I am very disappointed in a company that I have always used for all my moves. I couldn't pay my floor guy or buy the supplies for him to get the work started. My experience when I picked up was great. Although the clerk told me since no one had reserved it as long as I bought it back before 6(closing) she wasn't going to trip. Then that day called 3 times acting as if I had stole truck and as if she didn't tell me as long as I bring it back before closing she was ok with. I had already told her I was up the street participating in a fall festival. She said its cool as long as its back before 6. All I'm saying is don't make it seem like to a customer waiting for the truck that I went over my time and she wasn't aware what was going on because she's the one said it was ok for me to go over my time. I never do it anywhere I rent a uhaul. Just don't lie to customers and then act as if you had nothing to do with it. You basically called your customer a liar. She might say this isn't true. I have a witness that can attest to this entire encounter. The same way she called to see where the truck was. When she realized someone had reserved she should have had the decency to undo what she said and just say I know I said before 6 but now someone has reserved it so it has to be back by 5. That would been the right thing to do. Instead of acting like a customer stole the freaking truck. I really don't appreciate being treated like I stole something or that I'm a liar. Im adult and I have adequate income. I don't have to do either one. This could have ended so bad. With all the things going on in the world today. All it takes is one lie to mess up someone's life. Lesson learned don't trust the lady at the uhaul place in North Kannapolis. The place itself was perfect. Location...accessible and convenient. Thank youToni H.
