Absolutely the worst experience ever, booked a truck for the hideaway storage McGregor location, got there and said they had no trucks and sent me to a different location on Gladiolous they said their computer was down. Finally got a truck which now had to drive from and back to which was 10 miles extra from where I was renting it from. (Which I was charged for.) Truck was almost empty on gas , and the transmission was so bad it would never go out of first gear. Absolutely a very big safety hazard.Rebecca S.

The location is a little rundown but excellent customer service and trucks are clean and ready to gojordan U.
The u-haul location offered absolutely no help in attaching the trailer. The parking area was very cramped with little space to maneuver. The only way I could get out of parking area was by driving through the car wash. I would not recommend this location. I have had many very satisfactory experiences renting from uhaul in the past and hopefully will again in the future.Robert B.

Horrific customer service. I rented online and this clown took 40 minutes to get me out the door. It's a gas station, one persons working in the middle of the day, and he stops every single time someone walks in to buy a water, cigarettes etc etc. every time. The computer timed out 3 times, forcing him to ask the same questions he'd already asked 3 times. Avoid this place. BTW, he couldn't care less about your Uhaul experience.PAUL B.

This is a convenience store with one employee. Bless his heart, he was trying but had customers coming in and out and also mentioned the internet connection was poor. So, it took forever to get checked in and checked out. I had the truck about an hour and it took almost that long to check it in and out. Not the employees fault, he tried - but he had no help and his store is busy. The mobile check in didnt work. It came telling me I was not at the location when i was standing right next to the UHaul truck! That is why i had to do into the store to check in. What a joke. Was happy with the truck and the employee was nice but this is not the appropriate place for a UHaul rental if you can't have staff to help.Valerie T.

The employee on duty did not perform a walk around of the truck and overview of the truck's equipment. To me, this is a huge liability on Uhaul's part. Once we got the truck to the storage facility to pick up our unit, we discovered the interior bed of the truck was littered with oil dry/cat litter. Imagine being 200+ miles from home without a broom or blower. Very, very lazy on their part.AMY C.

The two men working were both rude and rolled their eyes at me when they watched me open the door by myself with a dolly. I then witnessed one of the men scream at a customer unprovoked. Will do business elsewhere.CHELSEA U.
I was urged to reserve a truck so I reserved a 15 ft truck. I got there and they didn't have the truck or reservation..they said. However, although I told them my sister was renting it and she would be driving they made me rent it because I made the reservation they said they didn't have. It made no sense. My sister and I both went in and said since no reservation we will take a 10 foot truck and made me, who wasnt driving put in my name and give my liscense. It just made no sense. I always try to rent from this location (Gladiolus Mobile). It is a very convenient location. The staff have always been very accommodating, as well as friendly and professional. There is usually a single person working and it is also a "convenience store", so there are times you may have to wait a few minutes. Using your mobile app makes things go quicker. Basically, I do everything on my phone other than picking up/dropping off the key. They usually have a great selection of trucks/trailers to rent. When I returned the truck, the clerk even came outside to help me get things done faster while I was refueling. Great service and pickup/return were both excellent!william L.

Here are some recommendations: Mark with some kind of signage to indicate that the gas station is the Uhaul pickup location, have equipment ready for pickup at requested time (furniture pads and dolly ready), have gas in truck prior to pickupmarcus M.

When I went to pick up the truck, I made my line for him to attend to me, but since I was the only cashier, he sent me somewhere else to give me the key, but every time people entered the store, he would attend to them at the cashier and left me waiting. Total that the process lasted more than 10 minutes taking into account that I already had a while waiting. at one point I let him know that he needed to finish me because he was first of all those people in the storeGRENSSER G.

A single clerk handles gas station, convenience store sales as well as uHaul. This made for a lengthy, frustrating checkin/out process. Used the online app to checkin/out, but then was told by app I had to enter store anyway, so what's the point of the app. Not the clerks fault, but I'd rent from another location.Craig B.

It was a small convenience store with one person working. Because he kept having to help customers when they came in it took a long time to check out. He also charged (cakes for a refund) insurance. I clearly stated in my online Check-in that I didn't want insurance. Nice guy it's just he was busy and couldn't use any of my online check informationDuane R.

Well I returned the truck a day early 25 miles under what they sold me and with and extra quarter tank of gas and I did not receive any money back for the rental it's not the clerks fault I know it's a company issue I just feel I should have been reimbursed in some type of wayLUIS S.
Our overall experience was horrible and disappointing. 1. The location was closed with a handwritten note saying they wouldn't be back until 10:00â€” our rental was for 9:00am â€”-we had no choice but to wait. 2. We rented a 15' truck with a ramp but the truck they had for us was a 10' truck with no ramp...and there was nothing we we could do- no other trucks available- the agent said â€œyou do all this on line- I can't help youâ€.... terrible service! 3. The drivers side door would not shut... we had to slam it hard 3 times to get it to hold somewhat... 4. Service lights were on- even though it drove okay... but seeing service lights on is unnerving. 5. The charges were too high -total if $126 for 5 hours and the wrong truck!!!! I did everything on line including pay in full to make pick up easier and fast. Spent two hours before he called corporate. Best I could tell at the end he was trying to rent me a truck not the trailer I reserved, charged me an additional $89 and then had to call corporate to fix everything. It last a convenient store and one person. So he had to take care of a steady stream of other customers. The man was very nice and apologized, but the outcome was still a over two hours. Spending to hours in a convenient store during the COVID-19 was not something I wanted to do and that's why I did everything on line.David M.

I rented your truck to make some large donations to the new Habitat for Humanity store, one block away. Location was hard to find since the address takes you to an empty building with no u-haul signs anywhere. After a little while someone told me the drop off was a gas station next to the building, but then you have to take off the trailer yourself. I did it, but some people may not be able to do that by themselves when you consider you have to pick up the trailer from the hatch.Rayden S.

Will NEVER recommend anyone, even my worst enemy to come to this location. Besides the rude employee behind the counter who is glad to help all customers before someone renting uhaul service. There's roaches running up the walls & over the food counter tops. Best part of it all - he asked to take pictures of my credit card... um no! Never have any issue with uhaul but MUHAMMAD at gladiolus location wouldn't even hook up the trailer to my car before a CROSS COUNTRY MOVE! Then tell me they â€˜care' about their customers. One the attendants was very disrespectful as he told me if wanted the truck or not!!!!! if not I could leave the store immediately all over a cash deposit, I hope this message makes a difference, this type of customer service is unacceptable, as frequent customer I would strongly recommend for this location to be inspected regarding customer service and the time it takes for everything to be processed.DAVID M.

I had the absolute worse experience that I have ever had in my life trying to get my uhaul truck at the following location: Gladiolus Mobile, 11571 GLADIOLUS DR in FORT MYERS. I have never been so upset with a customer service experience in my life. I arrived at the the mobile gas station at 8:50 am, for my 9:00 am pick up time. Once I arrived I gave the attendant my reservation number and I asked him to remove the auto transporter from my reservation because I was no longer taking my car to Miami (until the hurricane passes). He told me that he had to cancel my entire reservation in order to remove the auto transporter and he had to start my reservation over again. He proceeded to cancel my initial reservation and created a new reservation. After creating a new reservation he told me it would cost me around $263 to rent the truck (around local cost of $39 and .95 per mile), which was completely inaccurate because the price I received from uhaul was around $134. I proceeded to tell him that he was wrong and that he shouldn't be charging me the local rate he should be charging me the one way rate. He would not listen to me at all and kept telling me that I was wrong, even after I constantly showed him the online prices and kept asking him to let me see exactly what he was seeing on his computer, because he kept trying to manually change my reservation. He refused to let me see the computer and would not show me what he was doing. He even told me that he has worked with uhaul for years and asked me have I ever rented a truck before! Which I have, I've used uhaul in 2015 to move from Columbus Ohio to Houston and from Houston to Fort Myers, Fl (all one way trips). I've also used uhaul locally in Fort Myers in 2016 and 2018. So to be asked have I ever used uhaul as if I was wrong was completely belittling and ridiculous. So after he told me that I needed to pay the $263, he also let me know that he would need to cancel my reservation if I don't pay and he would have to give my truck away to the person that called inquiring about a truck! This really upset me because my reservation was created over a week ago and it was correct the entire time! I then called customer service and let them know what was going on. The customer service representative was very helpful and she made sure my reservation was updated correctly (because he kept going in and editing it) and changed back to the right price - which was the one way rate. After having her on speaker and asking her to repeat the correct price to him and my reservation, I then get off the phone and he still refuses to give me the truck for the price that was stated by the company. So he finally pulls up the reservation on his computer shows me it (with the right price) and then told me it was still wrong!!!! I explained to him it was not and we had just both heard the uhaul representative give the price!!! From there he started to change my reservation again, back to the local price and tried to chargeTorrie J.

There was no signage to indicate that this location was a U-Haul provider, so on our second time driving by it (my GPS kept tellng me I'd arrived at the address), I just happened to see the side of a U-Haul trailer sitting behind the store. They need signage to identify them as a UHaul dealer. As a female, I would not recommend this location, as there was no one to help me back the trailer into the parking space or to unhook it. The young man working in the store was very polite; I just prefer having someone who can handle it all for me.Susan Y.
