took almost 1 hour to complete the transaction on my i phone found the procedure confusing.

Wanted to pick the van up at 10am. Started the mobile checkout process and that took 50 minutes. Did not get out of there till 11am. Thought the location was supposed to be open on Saturdays, but no one was there. Tried call the location's number - no one answered. Called U-Haul twice - was put on hold each time for over 10 minutes, until the app finally approved my rental. Not sure if the website or app mentions the amount of time it takes for this type of checkout, but it should.

When making the reservation online I chose a pick up location less than 10 mins from my house. Was never informed until the night BEFORE that I would have to drive 1 hour to get the truck, PLUS have someone drive me there in our own car back and forth using our fuel and the fuel in the U haul. VERY Disappointing.

The three easy steps for getting the keys for the truck before they opened was terrible!!! Got to the final step and it would not recognize my very exspensive I phone it took me a hour and a half to finally get the keys!!!!

The equipment rental went fine. The only difficulty I encountered was find a cargo van to rent in my area. I understand you are in the rental business but renting all of you vans to USPS, Amazon, UPS and the like; really screws your local renters who use your service’s the other 11 months of the year. Maybe a better policy would be to keep some vans in strategic locations or within a certain mile radius of locations . If the Amazons of this world are doing so well business wise, let them go out and buy their own cargo van fleets. There by let people who need to move during the months of November and December that option.

Frankly, I was extremely disappointed. When I came in the FIRST time, I told the staff I needed a trailer hitch for a travel trailer. They installed one for a cargo trailer. When I came back, I had to pay all over again for installing a new wire harness that could have been installed correctly to begin with. A true lack of curiosity on their part in asking and confirming what I needed. And a very "hey, we're doing you a favor here" attitude. Not at all impressed. I won't be back, and I have warned off several of my friends who were going to go there.

The 24 hour pickup website crashed several times during pickup and dropoff while loading pictures. The concept is a good one, but the execution is poor.

Any problems we had were started by the online reservation system being confusing. The trailer we were renting was not at the location where we reserved it. We had to drive 40 minutes away to pick it up. The woman I dealt with at GTR was not very sympathetic. She almost seemed angry that she had to deal with me. Colmar and Chris, the regional manager, were awesome.

Not specific to this location but more a comment in general. I drove very few miles all together, this used only a slight amour of gas. I was honest and marked the new gas reading and was shocked at a flat fee of $30. I really think it should be a prorated fee based on how much gas you used. Again not specific to this location and I don’t expect this will change any policies for corporate, but you asked for my opinion.

Kristin was very efficient and had me on the road in literally minutes. Trailer was clean and easy to use. She also recommended that I could do a self return as the store would be closed when I returned the trailer. That process took just a couple minutes. Great customer service and great technology.

The truck was clean and ran well but as already noted to Pipersville office, the RHS cabin leaked badly with rain water streaming down the seat belt over the driver and soaking the driver making the 3+ hour drive really difficult and uncomfortable.

Surprised fuel tank was not full, since this was a long distance one way run. Could understand if local and short distance involved. Hard to know how to fill tank before return.

I called the 800 number Sunday morning to confirm the drop off location. We were told it was only 4 miles away. It turned out be at least 10. When we got there - the office was closed. I called the 800 number again and asked what we should do. We were told to lock the truck up & drop the keys - which we did. Within minutes of doing so, the U-Haul rep called to tell us that she didn't realize the location we were given was not a drop off location and we needed to take the truck and transport to another location!!! Too late - we had already dropped the keys. When it is all said and done - we had a great trip, the truck ran well and for the most part our U-Haul experience went very well. We drove home the original route that we planned to take and were amazed and relieved when we encountered a few very narrow, old bridges and a few that were less than 10 feet high!! What in the world would we have done - back up a 20 foot truck and transport on a very narrow windy road - in the dark - I might add - we could not have done it. I am of the opinion that there were few things that could have been explained or handled better - what do you think?
