You can make sure the truck they ordered is available & not make them have to drive 20 mins. to another dealer, where they have to settle on a smaller truck which was wet inside & then not get the $50 credit promised by the original dealer, as well as delaying them over an hour. Also, where the dealer at this location complained about the spouse of the renters unhappiness of the situation. Really! The delay caused us to miss the cable/phone guy! You should have more than one spare truck available in an area. People count on the truck they reserve to be available. It's not a small thing. Not planning to rent from uhaul in the future.

My reservation was not with Green Esso, rather the dealer south of town. He was not there to service me (not there a week earlier when I tried to rent either). I dropped into Green's (Sharon?) and she was excellent. Called around for help. Eventually said to hook onto trailer south of town and she would transfer the reservation.

The vehicle should never have been used as the front end was damaged (mechanical ) and I should have taken it to the DOT. I will never use your company again. And it helps when the staff can speak ENGLISH. I am a former mechanic so I know when something is in need of repair.

I received a phone call from Head Office to report which u haul location I was returning the equipment. She said there are two locations in North Bay. Both locations are located in or around Callander. I wanted to return dolley in Sturgeon Falls but the lady said that they don't handle car dollies. Then, why do they have 3 dollies at the Sturgeon Falls location.

Vehicle was not clean. Drinks spilled all over dash. Steering wheel was sticky. Van smelled of body oder and take out food. This was not the fault of the staff. It was explained to me that this van was put in service just for me because the 10' van I wanted was not available and it needed to get back to Etobicoke. I also understand that this van was impounded and had just been released. I drove for four hours in this van and when I was done I had to shower my clothes and myself smelled of the odour in the van. All this aside I was very pleased with the staff at both ends and the vehicle performance and gas mileage. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to comment. And again your staff were amazing!!! Representative had faulty computer cable which delayed process. Also interupted by other customers purchasing gas, snacks etc. Truck was swept out but not clean. Agent noticed damage to vehicle from previous rental but because I had taken the insurance coverage was going to claim it against my rental. This is not acceptable. Truck suspension was terrible. Also a terrible whine upon shut down and start up. I suspect a power steering problem. Vehicle only had 1/4 tank of fuel. I would expect a full tank so that I could proceed immediately and fill up on return.

We phoned a month in advance of our moving day to reserve a truck and vehicle tow dolly. We received CONFIRMATION that the items requested were reserved. We phoned again as soon as the store opened (9:00am) the morning before the move to confirm, once again the reservation, pick up location and time. We were told we would get a call back "very shortly". Nearly EIGHT HOURS LATER (just prior to the rental location closing for the evening) we were told that there was not going to be a truck available for the next morning - our moving day. Outraged, we demanded they find us another truck, which they did, but we were expected to pick it up from where it was located - 1.5 hours away from where we lived, and in the opposite direction from where we were moving to. Despite their error and our inconvenience, the mileage to transfer the truck from the rental location to our house was initially going to be charged against our rental allowance, until we balked. This is the second time in 4 years that I've rented from U-Haul and a CONFIRMED RESERVATION was unavailable when expected. I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN, AND I ADVISE EVERYONE TO SEEK AN ALTERNATIVE.

I made arrangements to pick up a 17 ft in Owen Sound , then it was confirmed to pick up a 17 ft at Parks transportation , then a 26" ft at Balmy Beach , good thing I called them to confirm , then I had to drive out to Chatsworth to pick up and expected to pay the charge for mileage between there and Owen Sound and back again , something wrong with that .Don

1) Have the truck size delivered to the correct location in time for move. My truck was smaller than ordered and I had to drive 44 Km each way extra to pick it up and drop it off. 2) Front driver's side tire was very worn - not safe to be driven - told contact when returned. 3) Took too long to check in and out as it is a gas station 4) Back door was frozen solid and had to be pried under rubber to get it to open. 5) Front window and mirrors were not cleared on truck to drive it, luckily I had a long reach scrapper in my car.

Vey high rates per km/miles include in advertised price as you advertise $29.95 but it ends up being over $100 with the mileage.

Repair the leak from wherever the water came in. Our mattress and four boxes got wet. According to the gentleman working for U-haul, the company does not take responsibility for the wet mattress. Furthermore the gas gauge was quarter full when I picked up the vehicle in Chatsworth but did not notice the difference until I was few minutes down the road. I returned the vehicle with over a quarter tank full but was charged extra for the gas.

I was told I could pickup at six-thirty am, premises not open until 7AMi...called on telephone...let ring several times...no answer...finally customer knocked on door, owners son finally answered...did not get out of there until 8:45 am...son was too busy serving coffee to other customers in the snack bar. I would say to find another reliable location where the owner is directly involved ( Uhaul and storage only ) . The owner of this location did not even check the truck with me before I left.....very poor service.

I was not happy with my over all experience with uhaul! Not only did I not get the truck I booked I had to pick up the truck in a different town on a DIFFERENT day even with booking my reservation at least 3 weeks before my move! I had uhaul call me 3 days before stain there was no truck for me to pick up in my town and I would havery to pick up a smaller truck in a different town on the friday install of the Sunday! When I stated that would not work I was asked yoo call back too confirm if I would want this truck on the friday, when I said no I was told I had to give them more time to find me a truck for the Sunday (the different size did not phase me at all) I then had them calling me back another day too inform me the only truck I would be able to get would be on the Saturday in Chatsworth not owen sound and it would be a smaller truck! I had all my moving help arranged for the Sunday they original day I booked the truck but had to take the truck on the Saturday to assure I had a truck for my move! There for I was unable to use many of my main help and had to pay extra for hiring movers as none of my help could make it the saturday as the plan was Sunday! When I got to Chatsworth I was told they did not have a truck for me when I got there so the worker had too call uhaul to see what to do they did finally give me a truck that was pretty dirty as it just got back! Overall I was completely unsatisfied with my experience with this company and highly doubt I would use it again or even recommend it to anyone!

I have never waited an hour half to rent a truck ever in my life, i will never rent from uhaul again. The lady that was working was frusterated as well but the issue wasnt her fault. maybe get her a printer and program and internet that works.

We asked for the Owen Sound Payless location and found out at the last minute that the trailer had been dropped off in Chatsworth. This added a considerable amount of time to our packing day and found this a huge inconvenience. Why did this happen??? Then the person in Chatsworth had to get all our information all over again that gave to Owen Sound and the Winnpeg location. This was VERY POOR service.

contract # 23627501, Only one person dealing with everything, told me where the trailer was wasn't able to check trailer or help me hook up to my car or check that lights were working. It is a small gas station on a corner, very hard to maneuver trailer out of lot. When I took it back owner was upset that I didn't put the trailer where he wanted, with all the other cars in this station it was impossible. when I said I couldn't move it he, in a rough voice, hissed at me "HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO MOVE IT". I said "hand ball it" I got in my car and left

My negative experience with uhaul is with the main dispatch you get when you call the 800# Horrible experience. I will not be a uhaul customer in the future.

After a month of trying to confirm my reservation i placed before canada day. What started out as pick up in balmy beach for August first ended up in uhaul changing my location against my permission to stow it self storage then to owen sound inn then finally against my permission they changed the pick up location to chatsworth a huge disadvantage uhaul promised me reduced mileage to compensate for there mess up.. upon reviewing my contract they still charged me full rate! Not impressed with this company however the gentleman at chatsworth location was very professional amd polite.

When I picked up the vehicle it had only 1/4 tank of fuel in it. I filled the tank prior to leaving the location, at a cost of $136. When I returned the vehicle there was 7/8 of a tank of fuel. U-Haul does not rent out their vehicles with a full tank, So how do you know how much fuel you have actually used. They also do not reimburse if you over-fill the tank. I have never rented any vehicle or equipment that has this type of a policy. Rental vehicles are normally rented out with a full tank of fuel and are expected to be returned with a full tank of fuel. The Area Manager suggested that we should go to the depot and syphon out the tank to take it back down to where it should be. What a ludicrous suggestion. How would I explain THAT to the police? We will tell all our friends and acquaintances that we were ripped off by U-Haul, and recommend that they should never rent from you. I know that I won't.

The locationn I picked up and returned truck was very good helping with the difficult and unhelpful staff at uhaul head office. Although the rates were cheap enough I shall not likely use uhaul again

We were not impressed with the Chatsworth location and even less impressed the Walkerton location, thanks to Jeff, for the lack of service you provided. If U Haul was my company I would NOT want these people representing me.

Took forever for paperwork and printed wrong files. Truck had Tim H coffee cups in the holders . OIL LIGHT was on when I picked up the truck. He did not know this and told me it is not his job. Truck was NOT at location where it was suppose to be Port Elgin ON so it added an hour of travel time and gas. Paid for moving blankets and had to come back to get them because he did not put them inside.

The location had nothing to do with the service. The woman was very friendly and courteous and helped as best she could. There were many mix ups with this rental. I Went to pick up the truck in Owen Sound and there was none available because none had been returned after the long weekend. Working with Head Office, I was directed to Meaford to get a truck only to have that truck be reserved just before my reservation was completed. Then I had to go to Chatsworth to lift a truck finally. It was difficult getting the truck at Chatsworth dur to computer issues. Then, I was unable to see and sign a paper copy of the contract because they could not get the fax working. From the beginning, I had expressed that I wanted the truck for 3 days and unfortunately I did not notice that the contract only said two days. Ultimately, I was charged an extra day to have the truck for the term that I had thought I had rented it for. I don't agree with this extra charge and would appreciated it being reversed. I have to say that normally I have not had issues with U Haul as I have used a number of times. However, on this occasion, I was not happy.

I read a few bad reviews about this location but chose it anyways. The man was very friendly and accomodating. i was able to pick up my truck early and it was in excellent condition. i would recomend this location to anyone

Booked a 26ft truck 5weeks prior to moving. When i go to pick up the truck there is only a 20ft or 14ft truck available. Neither size is what I had reserved. The response for the owner was "that's all I have got. Which one do you want". I had a 4bedroom house to move. So what is the purpose of reserving something if they dont have what you wanted. Would never do business from there again and I would strongly advise other people not too. Moving is stressful enough without having to have a much smaller truck than needed. Good thing I wasn't moving more than 20km away. Cause it now took 2 trips and you pay for your mileage.

Your express checkin service is absolutely ludicrous. Every time I have rented from uhaul I have had to spend 15 to 20 minutes while all my information was manually entered again. My rental from Chatsworth was so disorganized I won't rent from them again. Not because of their staff but when she called uhaul they were of little help to her at all.

The trailer was old and the owner was not helpful in hooking up the trailer. I waited an hour and a half due to computer problems with U-Haul. As well, I was promised a call from the area supervisor and 2 weeks later have not heard a word from them. I would not recommend renting from this location.

Reserved 17' Truck, received 26' Truck, excessive size and fuel consumption as well as difficult to fit into moving location. At pick up location blankets were stored in a shed to side of gas station, they were dirty and jammed in back of shed that could barely get into and access. Had to shake out all of the blankets. Took 55 minutes to complete paperwork at pick-up location due to computer problems, fax problems and poor service. Very bad experience and if wasn't for needing truck that day, I would have walked out.
