The worker at the location was incredibly rude, distracted watching a bicycle race while I was trying to check out. The mileage and gs levels were incorrect and I fixed them by uploading photos to the uhaul website. The man was not at all helpful and was argumentative when it was obvious the numbers were off. The back of the truck had trash, the front console of the van was dirty. I checked out a dolly and the man yelled to me from a window that a dolly in front of the building was for me, and he didn't help me (I am Visibly pregnant) lift the dolly into the truck. I am literally recommending to people to not go to this location. Terrible experience.

Don't use UHaul. I made a reservation a month in advance, with furniture pads as well as box and furniture dollies to help with my move. When I picked up the truck, the attendant bluntly stated that they only had a single box dolly and zero furniture pads. for me when I had reserved 2 box Dollie's and two furniture dollies along with two DOZEN furniture pads. They suggested I try another location so I called UHaul customer service and was not able to find any. I had to immediately drive to Home Depot to buy all the equipment I needed to complete my move. This ordeal was a colossal disappointment. I was never notified ahead of time that there might be issues getting me the equipment I required. This entire experience was the worst customer service and organization I have ever come across. Do yourself a favor and pick literally any other company to work with.

The UHaul staff was very helpful! In inspections on the road I realized the tires were very much on the edge of enough tread and there was cupping in how the tread was wearing unevenly! I was not happy as drove for hours in the rain!! As I unloaded the sleeper sofa I also realized there was a roof leak and a circle of water was absorbed by the sofa.

No issues with this specific dealer besides they are located in an absolute dead zone to only the U-Haul app which makes mobile pickup/drop off impossible. It took me 15 mins to be verified once I was next to the truck. I had full bars on my phone. I provided everything the app asked for and still sat and waited way too long. The return was even worse. It consistently told me it couldn't track my location or I had no service. Yet on my phone I could make google searches, hop on multiple social media apps and refresh my feed, and even send my location to friends. Yet this app couldn't do a damn thing. I started my return process at around 10:00pm. I left 30 mins after with it still not processed, returned the keys, and did all the steps asked. At 1:30am it was still processing on the app. I, again during this process, had full bars and even tried a hotspot. After 30 mins I stopped trying to refresh the process and decided to let it figure it out. Apparently that was a bad idea cause after 3.5 hours it said it was expired and I had to restart the whole process. Take pictures of the truck and verify my location……3.5 hours after the fact……so I ended up getting charged $20 for not checking the truck back in. Long story short don't even attempt to use the U-Haul app to return the truck at this location. Just park and bounce.

The experience with the truck was not the issue. Truck was well maintained. the one star and poor review is specifically towards the check in process and the attendant that was rude and of no help

I went to the rental site to confirm my reservation a day in advance. I did this because I was having trouble with your website. The rental agent, a man, would only talk to me through a window and I had to do this from the outside. It was freezing outside and I asked him if we could talk inside and he said no because it was the policy not to allow people in the office. That was ridiculous because I had been in the office plenty of times in the past purchasing boxes. When I returned to the location the following day to actually rent the truck, the rental agent and I spoke inside. There was absolutely no reason why I could not be allowed inside the first time. I will never use this location again.

The floor of the cab was muddy on pickup, I had to clean it up. Also, the reservation agent I spoke with on the phone recorded my email address incorrectly, though I spelled it out for him very carefully, which meant I received no paperwork on my rental until after I returned the truck.

Was not able to park my car at the location. No advance warning on this. Rented dolly and furniture pads as part of my order but not available at this location. I had limited elevator time in my apartment building for the booth, had to go to Home Depot to rent a dolly and purchase furniture pads to complete the move. Attendance at this location was unhelpful and had no suggestions on where to park for how to get a dolly and furniture pads. Uploading pictures to the U-Haul app was very problematic. It took multiple tries to upload the back of my drivers license. Upon return, it took approximately 20 attempts to get the odometer and gas readings uploaded. There was no help for other feedback as to what was causing the issue, and no way to proceed with the return process. Overall this was an unpleasant experience.

When I went to get my rental the guy in the trailer told me I had to pick up my truck and on my return had to parked it in the same place very far away in below zero temperatures the Hispanic guy in the trailer was too lazy to do his job. On return he never got out and never inspected the truck for damages which there were none anyway but I felt unsure of the whole situation. I also had to pay to park the car on the lot and was told to pick up my car by 11:00 or it would be towed away this has never happen before with my U hall experience. I had to have someone to drive back 25 miles to get my car which he charged me $10 to park. I called the Lincoln park U hall originally they made my reservation but I had to pick up my 26' truck at 700 Erie St Chicago never again I'll go elsewhere for rental.

Truck was dirty, smudges all over, candy wrappers, bad smell. The checkin process was a nightmare, with a faulty app that kept on stalling. The furniture dolly and dolly and blankets from the reservation were not there. The truck had slightly less than 1/4 tank gas. The truck's battery almost died the first overnight, but the second day completely died and had to call roadside assistance. Terrible experience all in all.

Both your iOS application and web app are horrendous. Spent 15 minutes freezing my hands off just to get the 24/7 share to work. Had to restart the app or reload the web app 10+ times in order to finally get it work. Cmon you guys are a large enough company to spend what wouldn't even be that expensive relative to the whole business in order to get a functional web app. Clearly hasn't been updated in years, and it shows in customer experience. I will not be renting a U-Haul again, don't even know the competitors but will seek them out.

I was trying to move a piece of furniture and had added two furniture dollys to my order, which wernt provided with the truck. Made for a very bad experience since i was wasn't prepared with other dollys to move my stuff and expected uhaul to provide it

The van I rented was dirty on the inside and I was told the only vans available had 1/4 of a tank of gas because the fleet was rented to Amazon the day before. When I got in the van actually only had 1/8 of a tank which made it very difficult when filling up. I had to guess how much to fill based on how far I was going as I had to fill up prior to my move.

Truck ws old (2008) and tattered (110,000 miles) the tappets were popping and I was happy to have made it to my destination. The return trip was a bonus. The truck had 3/8 tank of fuel (paperwork said 1/2) why wouldn't it be full? I'm driving a truck in the city, the first thing I want to do is not find a gas station. Cab smelled. Seat Torn. Dash was filthy. I could go on and on.

nobody was there for 45 minutes for my pickup time and we were left out in the cold. the man at the window said he couldn't help us. i requested a utility dolly as well and he said to go behind the building to see what i could find. it was basically a dumpster of random things and i pulled this random rusty dolly out. horrible experience, i should have listened to the other bad reviews.

I stopped in the office in person to get a refund for the gas charge, because I had refilled it to the level that it was at when I received the rental in the morning, but they said I would not get a refund, in spite of having returned it at the correct level. I showed them the timestamped photo of the correct gas level when I returned it, as well as the gas station receipt.

The check-in process is awful. Wanting a copy of my lease as I'm moving cross country is just foolish. Also, the windshield wipers were way past due for replacement, so much so that my wife and I almost had an accident due to poor visibility during a downpour.

Not at all helpful with answering questions. Very greedy. I feel I was gouged when I was charged $10 to park my car in their lot while I was renting their equipment. I will NEVER use Uhaul for local use again. Next time it's Home Depot - at least I'll know the charges upfront and I can use their parking lot with no charge.

I was forced to pay the attendant an extra cash to receive something that was offered to me complimentary. Because I did not have the cash on me at the time and only a credit card which I used to make my payment. This caused my move to be delayed a day and I had to incur allot of other costs. This is unacceptable practices by uhaul and I would like to be contacted by someone from uhaul. We have the entire situation on video and I would like to be refunded.

Guy was rude when I called to check they'd have the equipment I ordered. Truck was dirty and some of my stuff got damaged by the greasy floor/walls. Then I was overcharged afterwards - overall poor experience.

Ordered a 26ft box truck and received a 20ft. No fair warning or courtesy call regarding the situation. Reserved and furniture dolly and matts only to be told at the time of pick up that there are no more. Zero empathy for the customer. Truck was filthy. Trash in the cabin, smelled like smoke. I've never had a experience this bad. Will never use Uhaul again.

I reserved with a credit card and showed up 1 hour and 10 minutes past the reservation time and was told I had a 1 hour grace period and that my trailer was given away to another customer who had apparently arrived in the last 10 minutes. I didn't believe the man, but what could I do. I'd love to see the fine print that shows he was right. He then sold me a plug adapter for the lights and told me $25 or I could pay him $20 cash which I am sure he pocketed. I booked a smaller trailer and had to go buy a smaller hitch ball and when I returned to claim the smaller trailer, he then offered me the original larger trailer. Is it always this shady?
