When we picked up the truck it looked like someone had smeared a mud pie across the top. Then we pointed out a bunch of scratches that weren't marked and were told not to worry about it. Should have taken more pictures...

Cleaning the inside of cab! The cup holders were very dirty and had wet colored stuff in it and also in the door by the handle had wet residue in them. We also had a tire blow out on our trailer pulling our car only about 5 minutes from home and that put us 2 hours behind schedule by the time someone came to fix it! So by the time we got to our destination it was so late We had to stay in a hotel! We scheduled this several weeks in advance and got a call a few days before that instead of picking up in Waukee we needed to pickup our uhaul in Boundurant Because they didn't have a trailer for us. Boundurant is 20 mins from us.

TRUCK BED HAD STANDING WATER IN IT AND PASSENGER SEAT COVERED IN MUD. GOOD EMPLOYEE VERY APOLOGETIC AND TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING, JUST DISAPPOINTED IT WASN'T READY TO GO AT MY SCHEDULED PICK UP TIME.

Completed on-line process day before pick-up (upload photo of license, payment, etc.). Email said pick-up @ 0915. Arrived @ 0915 and had to wait until 0950 (one person working?) with no mention of the wait time. Informed had to complete registration again, despite showing email including payment. Went through entire process again.

I think it is overkill to charge me a 20 dollar convenience fee to drop off my truck EARLY after store hours. There is nothing convenient about the online hoops you have to jump through to return after hours. I believe there should be a discount for early return, not an extra fee.

Took over an hour to muddle through the self service smart phone system. On the phone with a rep (mostly on hold) for an hour. Had people waiting on us to get to our moving site. Several snags in the smart phone system. Would NOT recommend using it.

When I went to pickup the truck the windows had not been cleared of snow. I asked if he had a snow brush he said no. He proceeded to take his arms and remove the snow. The window still had snow on it so the wipers would not work properly. I have rented from other uhaul companies in the snow and they have always had the windows cleared off including the snow above the cab. I did appreciate his assistance when I asked him to please direct me when I backed up. I just felt customer service lacked at this location. Moving to Bondurant I felt I wanted to use a local business for our movet but unfortunately this was not a good experience over all

Tell the customer it's .79 cents a mile! What a rip off for a local trip. It used to be 30 a day unlimited miles.

The customer service rep said it was 10 miles away. It was 18 miles away from where we were originally picking it up. When we finally get there, the guy couldn't finish our rental and had to start over. He was very friendly but it took way longer than it should have to pick it up. Lastly, he put the mark for the fuel in the wrong place so we had to pay a fee.

There was not much information given at the time of pickup as to how the process worked for return after hours. So we weren't able to upload pictures correctly because we locked the doors and turned in the key before we knew that using the mobile app would ask for al kinds of pictures. The check engine light was on from the moment we rented it until we returned it. Just hoped nothing went wrong. My suggestion would be to always rent and return during business hours.

It was a lot of hassel to figure out if the uhaul was reserved or not. I was told many times a scheduling representative would call me, that never happened. Also that bag for the furniture blanket is in the wrong spot. It takes up space in the uhaul and gets in the way. Too bad I can't get a percentage back from uhaul due to that space that couldn't be used. The Bondurant, Ia location was great and the staff was very helpful.

That's my go to place now. I asked for a big truck, only wanted to make one trip, they gave me a 26 ft truck. Thing was spotless, ran like a top, attendant was a pro, very courteous. I like those guys out there

The person was very knowledgeable about U-Haul and very friendly. Truck was clean and ready to go. The Ford truck was much better to drive and had better power than the GMC we rented just three weeks ago.

We noticed the passenger rear tire was flat when we headed back from Marshalltown so we aired up. Seemed to be ok when'd dropped off, but you may want to check if there may be a slow leak. Other than that everything was great. Thanks again for the great service you provided.

Find me a closer location to drop-off from my home. Ankeny has two U-Haul locations within 5 miles but you required I drop off in Bondurant 25 miles away

I WAS NOT expecting to be told that I had to pay cash after being told over the phone when I reserved the truck that I could pay via check, cash or credit card. THEN AFTER getting the cash to pay for the rental the store personnel told me that since I was paying with cash that I HAD to come up with another $100 for a deposit BECAUSE I was paying with cash. AND when I wanted to put the extra $100 onto my credit card I was informed THAT wasn't possible. AGAIN... ANOTHER SURPRISE...... I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH SUCH TREATMENT. I am going to tell others about this experience and think twice before renting from UHAUL again.

Worst company I have ever dealt with my entire life. Will never use again and have and will let everyone know NOT to ever use UHaul. Poor, extremely poor service and I think all of the customer service personal take "how to talk to customers like a politician",skirt the issues never give a straight forward answer. The only thing that I can think of is either the company is having lots of financial issues or they are just a crappy company trying to get by on whatever laurels they had in the past. Saw the article about the CEO's parents. Maybe he needs to go back in time and see what his family did and repeat it cause its not working now. Just totally unbelievably the worst. I dont understand why he hasnt read all the negative reviews. Mine included. Turned them in to the Better Business Bureau and definitely calling Channel 3 here in Phoenix, where their corporate office is located, and hopefully they will take the story. Have family working as a director Im sure she would love to hear my story and do some digging besides.

Site was closed. Signage and drop off instructions were visible. The only down side was the droop off box was not deep enough. I could reach my hand into the box and grab anything in there. Other keys that were dropped off etc.. Concerned me thinking the vehicle could be stolen and I would be stuck with the fee's.

This location should not be telling customers that they need to bring their rental trailers to another drop location after it was specifically rented to be dropped off on Ames. They should be prepared for move in and drop off weekends

The store was not yet open at the scheduled time (9am). Due to the store not being open, I was forced to wait to pick up my trailer...because I waited and did not take possession until 25-30 min past my scheduled pick up time, I dropped the trailer off at 9:18am. This was within my allotted 48 hour period, but was still charged for an extra day of insurance. This is unacceptable and poor quality in customer service.
