I fhosee my place to pick up online but after paid was sent to second place I had to walk to place I chose and they didn't have Dolly so the worker went ahead and rented me the truck and I had to get dolly from second place which costed more doing them separately and when I tried to talk to rep at storage place I got dolly he was rude and said he couldn't help it. I'd really like my money back that I paid extra and won't be renting again in the future because of him. Thanks forFrank G.

No issues with J&J, but I was scheduled to pick up this trailer in La Veta, CO, so the drive 70 miles to J&J to pick it up was costly. I did appreciate the extra days added by U-Haul for my inconvenience, but a trailer shuffle to La Veta by U-Haul would have been preferred.James J.

Rude employee and manager, who threatened to file a police report because we initially dropped off at incorrect location the day before, due to Uhaul website wrong directions. Even after calling manager and being told it was our problem to resolve and we'd be charged, we said we'd go pick it up and bring there, she was going to contact the police for a stolen trailer. She charged us anyway for an extra day, even after being called by the other location. I spent 80 minutes on the phone on hold for uhaul twice, before getting someone who could help get the excess charges credited back. And he acted like he was doing us a favor, even after the other location called uhaul to verify we had dropped it off on time. They should never have told us to drive around to the back and leave it, saying they were busy and would check it in later. We will never rent from uhaul again after this terrible experience!Renee M.

I had a major delay in getting my truck at the appointed time, but it was not the shop's fault - another customer's delay caused my delay because there was no time in between appointments. I got the truck 4 hours late - the JJ Rental staff was communicative and helpful.BILLY U.

They were fantastic. Very helpful and the vehicle was perfect. The only thing I would change was not with the location but your website- it was not up to date on what was available at each location (pickup truck vs panel truck) and that was very time consuming and frustrating.Anne S.

This location was fine. I cannot recommend the Monte Vista location ever, to anyone. I talked to them three times. They were rude the first two times. The third time was when I cancelled with them. They didn't have time to be rude. Your service needs to be improved. I gave you a land line number. How did you try to contact me to tell me that the auto transport had been moved? Text. Contacts I made that seemed helpful were not. I was looking for a truck in Colorado Springs. I had to drive 160 miles to pick up the vehicle, I called the area vehicle fleet manager about discounts for my inconvenience and found her to be uncooperative and in subsequent calls to the same got nothing for my efforts. I only took a 15 ft truck because it was what I was talked int. Your fleet manager looked up my initial online request and noted â€œ you only indicated a 15 ft truckâ€. I needed at least a 21 foot truck but in my initial conversation I was asked if I could do same with smaller trucks as large ones were not available. In a truck rental company the size of Uhaul these limitations are unacceptable. In addition the truck had two worn tires that would not have passed DOT inspection, the truck was splattered with road grime and bug debris. The glass and mirrors had to be cleaned to gain visibility. The vehicle did not have cruise control so 2200 miles of driving on the pedal with lower extremity impairments meant I suffered for the whole trip with bad knees, a limitation I will insist on next time. After driving 320 miles round trip to retrieve and get my rental to the loading location I again called fleet management and got no help locating a larger truck. The fleet manager did not return my call for a replacement. I will not rent Uhaul again, I would next time use Ryder or Penzke, Budget or Enterprise.Jonathan K.
When I got the truck they tried to say there was more gas, and over 40,000 miles on the truck were undocumented. Then when ran into complications and took longer than expected with the truck they threatened to have me charged with stealing the truck. Even though we had discussed at pickup that I was unsure of length of time needed. The customer service went from good to horrendous very fast, had to risk our lives and damaged our personal vehicle that was being pulled by the uhaul due to rushing back so I wouldn't go to jail for false charges.Nichole R.

Trailer was not clean, I had to sweep it out before I could use it and it was the third trailer they tried to give me. First one was hooked up and lights didn't work, was sent all over town for 3 hours trying to find someone to fix the plug in on my car and spent $75 to replace it only to return to find that the trailer lights still didn't work. I was connected to a second trailer which worked fine but they then said I couldn't have that one because it was a local use only trailer, the third one finally worked but by then they had wasted 3 hours of my time and $75 because the lights on the original trailer were bad.Alan H.

Order Dolly's to make my move easier and didn't receive a single one. I had to rent an extra day to get everything moved without the Dolly's. No call or explanation. I had to call U-Haul 3 separate times with no resolution provided for a refundNicholas W.
Uhaul really dropped the ball on us. We rented a trailer in salida and when we got there they said they didn't have the trailer we needed. The lady told me what she had available turns out when she said the trailer I had rented it was not even close to what I ordered online. Then when I told her she said they don't even keep the one I ordered in stock. So we drove 3 hours to place that didn't have what I needed. Then we drive another two hours and they also booked us for the wrong trailer. Luckily that location did have what we needed in stock and they staff was nice enough to stay late after closing so we could pick it up. Uhaul sucks at booking.JEREMY G.
Poor customer service. The equipment I pre ordered was not loaded in the truck. The phone check in process requested I take a picture of my ID again. I had already done the ore check in two days earlier. It would be extremely helpful and not as frustrating if in the pre check in it would give you heads up about the second id verification. When the employee brought the equipment, they just threw it in the back without acknowledgement or apology. This is my second bad experience at this location. I won't rent from here againRoberta R.

There was an issue returning my rental. On my contract agreement it stated my destination location was Bremerton, WA then I received several calls from Tacoma, WA location mandating that I need to return my rental to their location which is 1 hour away. The Uhaul representative at Tacoma 6th ave location was rude and no customer service at all and even threatened me that I will get charged double if I return my rental at a different place. My question is how in the world my return location changed from Bremerton to Tacoma without my knowledge? Good thing the issue was straightened out after calling uhaul customer service for the 3rd time. The customer service at the Kitsap Way Bremerton, WA was excellent and they did a very good job!MICHELLE W.
