We tried to take the truck back to where we had left one 6 days previously. They no longer would take it. Gave us directions to JJ's but we couldn't find it. It took over an hour and a lot of driving around to leave the rental truck.SUSAN C.

I should've posted on Facebook asking for a friend with a truck to help me! I originally rented a 9â€ cargo van at Alamosa Building Supply and budgeted accordingly. I was contacted the morning of my move when I was planning to pick up the van and I was told the â€œtruckâ€ was not returned by the previous customer and they needed to forward my reservation to a different location. When I asked to clarify about the truck I was told there are no 9â€ vans in the area. When the request for a vehicle was forwarded to a different location, my specifications and information were lost and the reservation wasn't set for the same amount of time, 24 hrs as opposed to 3 hrs for a move an hour away. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a definite answer of how much more I would be charged at any point in this ordeal for larger sizes, longer time, or gas, and was told by the first representative it probably would be about the same. I was extremely disappointed with the whole thing. Luckily J&J Rentals had a 10â€ truck available and it was through no fault of their own that I didn't get what I paid for. Their staff was kind and did a great job accommodating an unhappy customer (myself!) :-) Uhaul, please don't rent vehicles online that your stores don't have on location! Moves are costly enough and renting from Uhaul cost me an additional $30 for 1 more foot plus the additional cost of gas ($35 all together) for a truck as opposed to the van. The first representative was trying to set me up with a 15â€ truck which would've been way too big and concerning to drive. I can only imagine how much more it would have cost for a 15â€ truck. Good business would be not to fault the customer for a lack of resources by charging extra because you don't have what they ordered, but to follow through with an agreement and rent a vehicle at a loss for Uhaul doing your best to make sure it is a rare occurrence.MICHELLE S.

The customer service was amazing. My previous rental fell through and I had minutes to rent another. It was at the end of the day and they were probably pretty tired, but they did everything with a smile. They went above and beyond. Because of them we were able to provide food to over 600 people in our area.Lisa L.

We had to change the pick up location at the last hour and the guy at J & J handled it for us. At check in, after hours, I didn't receive a confirmation after I entered the verification number, which was a little concerning. I tried entering the code three times.Warren H.

Trailer was returned as per the contacts states, fraudulently charged double. I have presented the rental location with a demand letter. I will file a civil(small claims) lawsuit on September 3rd if J&J has not responded and resolved the problem.Robert P.
For starters there were no tail lights got pulled over harrassed by the police, had to get a room, wait 6hrs for uhaul to fix the problem however he fixed the tail lights but now we have no a/c and the the charging ports now do not work ,when stopping agian calling road side assistance Dave at the main branch in Arizona is laughing at us making us repeat or self's over and over. That was when we were in bossier city lousiana ( big shout out to jennifer brown who was the only one helpful person in this whole situation) let us bring our cat in to cool off) was told we'd have to wait another couple hrs. We paid an outrageous price to begin with on top of the insurance. This whole time I have a family emergency in florida. I just can't wait I have got to go. The cat almost died had to stop at a vet. Do to the no air conditioning. I just feel like I need to be compensated for all the drama.Nancie T.

The steering on the truck was loose. I believe the tie-rods need to be checked along with the alignment. Overall the truck was very clean and reliable.William B.

Check servicing times prior to renting. The truck I rented was very clean and ran excellent. However, upon renting it it only had ten percent oil life remaining and I had 2000 miles to drive. The last 1600 miles it was on 0% oil life. With the newer trucks that can be hard on engines. Otherwise everything else was perfect!Mary M.

upon pick up.. there was stone chip in window I and the PA location did not notice. As I drove higher altitude and colder climates out west, I noticed a crack form. I informed the drop off location and it was a relief to know it was not my responsibility.James W.
The staff at J & J has always been helpful. The online check out system leaves much to be desired. We were unable to access the online checkout after several attempts, including changing our password and also trying to log on as a customer who did not have an account. We called U-Haul to request assistance. Spoke with Rebecca Sexton who asked that we email her pictures and she said she would close out the ticket and send us a confirmation. We never did hear back from her and ended up calling J&J the following morning to ensure that out ticket was closed out.Anthony S.
If U-Haul does not have the truck requested, please notify customers more than 48 hours ahead of schedule and reserved pick up time. Getting a phone call less than 2 days prior to a reserved pickup date, in preparation for a cross-country move, that stated there was no truck available put me and a giant amount of emotional stress. I had to scramble to make a 5-hour round trip to pick up a truck.Eryka D.

The young lady st the front desk was very professional courteous and knew her job well. She had difficulty getting the U-haul site to function properly, She visited with us asked if there was anything she could do for us. Etc. Very commendable employee.Brad W.
I paid for 3 extra days, uncertain when I would be able to return the unit. I was informed that when I turned the unit in on Saturday there was no refund for days not used and that I did not need to prepay for extra days, the extra days could be paid when I turned the unit in.. Originally my reservation was for Alamosa Building Supply location but the entire reservation was wrong. I reserved a 10ft truck with an appliance dolly for Friday at 3pm. I got a call at 230pm asking if I was coming saying my reservation was at 1pm. There were no trucks at this location, only trailers at any of the locations in the area, and my vehicle does not have a hitch. They also didn't have an appliance dolly. They reserved me for a truck at 12pm the next day that should arrive unless they extended their reservation. I stopped by the next morning at 11:30am to pick up a dolly and they said the truck had not arrived. The manager arrived and then told me the truck arrived to the J&J location earlier that morning. This really inconvenienced me and stressed me out. I had to make way way more trips moving than was necessary with 3 vehicles.Melanie J.
