Overall Karls did well with good contact over the phone and a clean truck, however Uhaul has extremely predatory practices and refused to rectify. I initially booked a one way (as it was the cheapest option) for picking up in Beloit and dropping off in Janesville. Karls called the day before and stated my location and changed to Fitchburg. They did not specify that only my pickup location had changed, I assumed that both had changed, and when I dropped off the truck back at Karls they changed my contract to an "in town" and charged me for my mileage instead of writing off some mileage as they do on a one way. This ended up costing me $150 simply because I dropped the truck off in the same place when they didn't specify drop off had not changed but pickup had. Predatory and will not be using Uhaul again.Sam N.
The pickup process was absolute hell! I promise I will never use Uhaul ever again 24/7 pickup but when the 24/7 pickup didnt work we sat on hold for nearly 2hrs!!! I was supposed to have my truck loaded by 9am I had people hired to help I was paying a babysitter by the hour, I am heavily pregnant and stressed it was 9:30 by the time we even got the truck then on top of it there was a huge pile of mats in the Uhaul that took up a good chunk of the room we needed! Absolutely horrendous experience from now on I'll be using 2 men in a truck and I highly recommend everyone else do the same! Uhaul is a Joke!Amanda G.

I reserved my truck 2 months before I needed it and scheduled it at different location. 2 days before my move, I was â€œinformedâ€ that my truck would not be available until 4:30pm. This was unacceptable and I was not asked if it was okay. Then I called and expressed my concern. In fact I was angry about the way things happened with UHaul. Poor business practice. I appreciated the assistance I received but was not happy about the reason I had to have it in the first place. I should have been given an option not just informed.Maurine M.

Jamie was very attentive from the moment I contacted him for the inquiry of the 26' ft truck to the point of delivery. The location was perfect for easy in/out access. The pre-inspection went well, but a lot of area to cover on a 26 ft truck, and all the little X marks were difficult to see since they were mostly gone. The only major issue was the condition of the wiper blades. The windshield was a bit dirty, and when I operated the windshield washer, the rubber on the blades were rotted and whipping around. On the trip home, I made a few stops to clean the windshield at truck stops. Safety is in what you see and the wipers posed a hazardous condition. I reported it to the delivery destination location, so the next person was good to go with hopefully new wiper blades!Bob M.

None of the equipment I rented was included in the uhaul and I had an incredibly difficult time picking up my uhaul. The emails telling me what to bring in order to do a remote checkout were never sent. The roadside assistance people were great though.Tristan M.

Very small rental location. Had to wait 5 minutes at least to even be acknowledge by owner. Was told where to park trailer. Owner came out and lifted trailer off of ball after I had done the disconnecting of chains and electric. He didn't give me any return paperwork. I didn't have to sign anything.Jennie R.

The drop off location was changed from McFarland Wi. to Fitchburg Wi. by Uhaul ....20 minutes out of my way. U haul is sending me 5 texts while I am attempting to use GPS to find the location. The owner at this location also mentioned that there was a charge on the bill for dropping at the wrong location. If Uhaul has this messed up of a system, next time I will consider other options first. That is an old technique called "Bait and Switch" you are currently using. It is illegal ......and just plain wrong!!!!!scott C.

After renting and submitting my photo Id and selfie, there was a delay because I had to find someone to answer uhauls phone call to prove that they knew me. That was disappointing because I had already submitted all my information including payment and now I had to stand in the hot sun texting ppl to see who was available during work hours to answer a random call!Cesar L.

Man who runs the business wasnt there. His wife was there and called him. He was an hour away. I had to remove the trailer from the hitch myself because his wife did not want to ir was incapable. What if I had been elderly or had hurt my back moving? Who would have removed the trailer from the hitch?Graham C.
