I began my order with the Charles City, Iowa, location which is 18 miles from me and also where I was moving things items in a Senior Living place. My order was switched to Mason City which is 30 miles away. This cost me time and mileage. Why?

I know that u-haul moved all trailers, etc. to Mason City, far on the East side. I use to be Abe to use u-haul from Clear Lake. Would like to see that again.

I would recommend not using the 26 footer at night. Headlights do not light up at all can only see about 10 feet in front of you.

Keep up the great service. I was also very pleased with the condition of the van I rented as well as the accessories added to ease loading e.g. rear door open locks and the great number of places to tie straps and ropes. The heavy duty moving assist equipment was also impressive and easy to use.

They were shocked the condition of the trailer and that the location in Beresford, SD allowed the towe dolly to be rented out. The towe dolly was immediately grounded at dropoff. Luckily I dropped it off earlier then the deadline dropoff time so the renters that were supposed to pick it up right after me could make other arrangement for the complete inconvenience.

Don’t tell a customer on the phone one thing and then do something completely different in store...I talked to A female I think her name was Emily on the phone and then a male did everything in store and wouldn’t honor what she told me over the phone.

Fire the head of IT and get a national reservation site that actually works. Even the people I talked to were frustrated! If i relied on your system I would have gone elsewhere!

Signed up for app to pick up before business opened but when I went to use the app it said it had been changed to hand delivery and I would have to wait until business opened. Windshield was dirty on the inside. Take those 2 issues out though and I was satisfied with the service.

We were unable to obtain the trailer we wanted due to an issue with the return rental. Thus we rented an open trailer which actually worked out better than the enclosed trailer we initially wanted.,

I rented a van, drove it 360 miles and got charged for 913 miles ($150 overcharge). Spent a bunch of time trying to get it rectified. U-haul seems to have no way to recognize that a mistake has been made and fix it. I see other over charge complaints for this site. Make sure your check odometer readings before accepting a vehicle from these guys and take pictures!!!

Would help if all trucks had ramps even the small ones. An hourly rate for pickup would be nice for local.

The road to the rental place was all torn up and the store was hard to fine. They were not very knowledgeable and we didn't have a half tank of gas in the truck and they were suppose to adjust it but didn't.

Very nice an helpful people, I called them probably 4x that day to ask questions an everyone I talked to was very knowledgeable an informative. They even upgraded my truck size no problem when The 10” wasn’t in, and for the same price!! Best U-Haul place in Mason City Iowa 1000/10 would rent from here again!

When I went in to receive the key (I did the U-Haul Truck Share 24/7 service to make the process quicker) the associate helping me seemed very confused and it took about 5 minutes to get the key even after I explained that I did the check in part already and just needed my key. (The associate was trying to bring it up on the computer and was saying how the computer was saying something about dropping off/checking the key in.) Then after I had picked up the truck and was at my moving location I got a call that went to voicemail and was basically told that they had made a mistake and that if I saw a large charge on my account to not worry and that I wouldn't be held accountable/liable for it. After I finished with the drop off later that day I got the email with my receipt only to see that they somehow tried to/did a prepay of over $67,600! I got emails and phone calls from my credit card the next few days about this trying to see if this was a legitimate charge or not. Very frustrating to try to deal with this while in the middle of moving. The process on the phone to pick up and drop off was easy enough to use but it feels like the associates inside the store could use some more training on how to handle the 24/7 Truck Share part.
