Attendant was very friendly and followed all the procedures. I was upset the pick-up location was changed to 15 miles from where I scheduled it - but that had nothing to do with this location itself. That also increased my mileage since it was our of the way, but the allowed mileage was not increased for the fact that I had a further drive than if i had gotten my preferred location.

The location was always closed, when I picked up and dropped off the truck and equipment. When we arrived, we had to wait a half an hour for our truck to arrive, and when we dropped it off, they told us to just drop the key off. Now, we left a dolly and blankets in the truck, but we are being charged for it not being there! I am Very sorry that I chose UHaul

Thee was nothing wrong with the location or its personnel. The problem was with CORPORATE U-Haul and its online program. I asked for pickup at Goldens Bridge, NY location. This was CONFIRMED by U-Haul Corporate online. I drove to Golden's Bridge. Was then told they don't have any vehicles and that CORPORATE had unilaterally changed my location to Mahopac, NY. Since I had no alternatives at this point, I drove an additional 20 minutes to Mahopac. When I got there, the location was closed since the employee had to go and retrieve my vehicle. He did leave a sign on the door with a phone number so I was able to speak to him. But I now waited an additional 20 minutes. The I had to drive back 20 minutes more than I had initially agreed to which was CONFIRMED by UHAUL Corporate. In total, I was taken an hour out of my way. How can you CONFIRM a reservation and then switch it? If you don't have the vehicle in the location I request, just tell me THAT. Then, you can ask me if I would like to be provided with a different location. I am sure I am not the only customer to have experienced this problem. In fairness, the personnel at both locations were professional and the vehicles were clean and well maintained. Again, the problem was with the online reservation system.

When I reserved the truck, they said I would pick it up there. However, I was rerouted to another location. It was 25 mins away. When we got there, he didn’t have the truck. We had to travel another 5 minutes to a backwoods shop to pick it up. The truck I reserved wasn’t there so we had to take another one. After the move, I returned the truck and they tried to charge us another 7 miles of travel...AFTER I was told we had unlimited mileage. Next time, I’ll choose Penske.

I “reserved” a 15 ft truck in Mahopac for a short move. Last minute UHaul (not the Mahopac business) changed the location to King Lumber, approx. 12 miles away. Unacceptable. I changed to a 10 ft truck from Mahopac and made more trips. I will recommend the business to others but not very happy with UHaul.
