As a return customer, over the past year, I have never had a bad experience until this last rental. The new computer check-in system at the Maple Ridge location was not working and it took 25 minutes for them to check me in. My question to U-Haul is, "Why did you change your system? The old system works. Ever heard the expression, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" The most frustrating experience to date. I will no longer rent from U-haul. The people at this location are great and not to be blamed. It's the system itself.Ronald D.

vehicle was in poor shape internally and externally - didn't really care about the exterior (all damages were identified with stickers - a lot of stickers) and the passenger side tail light was busted; but the inside was filthy and the cup holder/ashtray was taped together with black masking tape. i would have expected a bit more from uhaul as i always had good experience with all my rentals until nowMartin P.

A customer should receive a credit when they return a vehicle with more fuel when the truck isn't given full to the customer. There is no way to gauge he much fuel to put in. I will insist that the truck be given to me full next time. Or they should credit some of the distance charges if customers return with extra fuel.Bonnie F.

The truck still had ashes in the ash tray, spilled coffee and mud on the dash and the window tape from the glass repair. We also found out about a crack in the fiber glass that we were not told about but was put in fine print on our blue receipt. Had this caused water damage to our possessions we would have been upset but un able to do anything. U-Haul as a company however was enjoyable to work with. The rates were fair and the handiness of the equipment available (Furniture cart/ Blankets) made moving ourselves easy. After hours drop off was simple and painless. We will be using U-Haul for our next move. But we hope to find a better location.CODY R.
I called 3 locations in maple ridge and Port Coquitlam on January 2nd and January 4th. Not one location answered their phone and I called multiple times throughout the days at all locations. Finally we ended up booking online. Truck I picked up at the 118 Ave location had no windshield wiper fluid in it. Of course I didn't know that until I needed it driving to my location for furniture pick-up. The windshield started to get covered with salt, dirt and debris, it made it very difficult on my drive back, I was not impressed at all.CHRISTOPHER W.

concerns about the condition and upkeep of the truck were expressed and brushed off. there were legitimate repairs needed but no one seemed to care. the door of the truck was broken and we were brushed offSARAH J.

Some of our furniture got soaking wet with pools of water on them. It was pouring out the day of our move, and I assumed something's would get sprinkled on, but the water pools on our couch etc came from what appears to be the opening where the light is on the inside.Shaylee S.

The interior of the truck had been used to haul garbage. The garbage had leaked. There was a stench of garbage in the truck and a sticky residue on the floor. We weren't sure if the gas gauge was working. We put $20 of fuel in and nothing registered. We only drove 24 miles so we knew we hadn't used that much.KERRY V.
Vehicle was in poor cosmetic condition (more your concern than mine to be honest). Was not cleaned prior to my picking it up and had a lot of dirt/manure in it, and some items in the can. Vehicle was not full of fuel. 2nd time renting from this location in last few months. Staff were much friendlier and more helpful than last visit.DAMIAN ADAM W.
If you are unsure about what size of truck you need to fit your stuff into, GO LOOK AT IT to determine if it's right for you...I asked the person there what would fit my 1 bdr suite with king sized bed and was told a 10' truck would do the job...it did, BUT IN TWO TRIPS!!! I ended up paying double the mileage I planned on. Also truck was acceptable, but now washer fluid and could have been cleaned inside the cab. A/C was super awesome thankfully.LISA S.

Trailer had mud spray up both sides and was very dirty. When doing a light check on the trailer there was a short somewhere and both turn signals were turning on for each direction. The attendant told me its fine and was supposed to be that way. We kept telling him no until he went and wiggled some wires (which had bare sections throughout) until it started working. Very Disappointed with our experience at this location. First of all we waited for an hour to get the truck and then when they brought the truck up front they never did a walk through with us...just handed us the keys and they went back into the office. Then as we were loading up we found glass in the loading area of the truck, the truck was dirty in the cab, cat hair and dirt ! The windshield was covered in dead bugs so we had to go and clean that off just to see out the windshield !The headlight was broken and didnt even point straight (pointed up into the sky), the check oil light was on and also a wrench light was on. Then during our trip to move our stuff the battery light was flashing on and off ! There are many other things that went wrong and am so angry at this location - we will never be back there and neither will all our friends and family after we spread the word ! We never had a problem like this at the other location (Kelly's) but will NEVER deal with Maple Towing (Maple Ridge) again !!!!!RYAN S.

I will never deal with Uhaul again! This is the second time I've rented a truck from them, and both times the experience was dreadful and expensive. The location needed for pick up was change with no notice, and the location to drop off was closed so had to fine another location. And I was over charged on the milage.CHRIS B.
