The U-Haul was NOT at the location it was supposed to be at 9 am. After promises it would arrive in 20 minutes, we left with no U-Haul and headed to Woodfin to pick one up one, then were re-routed again to Marshall, NC. Movers waited for us for an hour before we arrived with the truck at our apt. The delay was purely U-Haul's fault.Carol A.

The Customer Service was great. The facility was run down. Our truck once we began driving had an issue. The rubber around the driver's door kept falling off when the door was opened up. My husband who has mobility issues almost fell when this happened the first time. Each time we opened the driver's door we would have to try to stick the rubber back around the door. It would be nice to receive a credit to my Amex for what we paid for the rental to compensate for this problem.elizabeth M.

The folks at this location were pleasant to work with. I appreciated their kindness. As far as uhaul: Update your computer system at this location. Also, don't require a selfie is the person has already provided their drivers license with their picture on it. the personnel at this location printed me a receipt stating he paid my deposit back in cash, but refused to give me my cash deposit back. after I called the pick up location to see if that was right, he talked to them and did not like thier responce. said" they were confused" .He could not get with his manager, had to go to the district manager. he then put me back in the system and told me I had to drive the truck and dolly to another location 30 miles away. I at this point called 1800gouhaul. i went to my van to find out what was going on. I refused to accept the keys. so he called the police. I was still on the phone with 1800gouhaul when the police arrived. now I am on hwy. 25 70 surrounded by three police and three police vehicles, for everyone to see, like I was being interrogated like criminal. he maid the comment that I was trying to take $100 from him. Waited over an hour to be given the truck. They said they were waiting on it to be serviced but that it should be "fine". Trailer had a flat on one of the axles. I went to the Asheville location on Merrimon to get air. The service gentleman put n a new tire in a matter of minutes. Very professional. Folks that ran this location were great. They had to help me get the truck rented when U-Haul's 24/7 System failed. Waited over 40 minutes for verification after I logged in on site to rent the truck. Also called into U-Haul and was on hold for 30 minutes on the phone with no answerterry H.

Okay, so, this location was nor where I initially reserved. I initially reserved picki-up for the Carl Eller Road location in Mars Hill, which did not have my truck available despite my reservation. The man who helped us at the first location was hostile, rude, and at points was practically yelling at me and the two who were with me. He was not particularly helpful at all. He tried to get us out the door as fast as possible, and told us that the Marshall location would be expecting us. The Marshall location didn't seem to know we were coming when we arrived there. We were held up there for another hour and a half due to computer troubles with our rental, but the employee helping us there was great and friendly. He even helped us take the tow away thing that was attached to the vehicle. Despite our troubles he was really patient and friendly and I'd recommend this location over the Mars Hill any day. Although, we were double charged during this whole ordeal and we hope to get that resolved soon. I would highly advise U-haul evaluate the Mars Hill location, because the treatment we received there was awful and the man working there was not sympathetic and was just very hostile despite us being patient.Sarah P.

The whole experience was a nightmare. It started a week prior with website issues and multiple phone calls. Followed my self pick up app not working costing us 2 hours of moving labor we payed for on your website. We had to drive an additional 45 miles to get a truck which added unneccesary mileage and time. Truck ended up leaking on everything. Customer service was poor during app, Brandon just stopped respoding and when we called, we were told it was our fault.Julie E.
Probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had. We were supposed to pick up a truck on Friday evening...truck was there, app wasn't working, no keys to be found. Talked to DM, and no one could get in touch with the owner. When we went to get the truck the next morning, my boyfriend went to talk to the owner while I checked in via the app. The owner told my boyfriend he wasn't going to rent him a truck (that I had already paid for) because he didn't like his attitude, and told him to get off the property...after shoving the iPad in my boyfriend's face. I went in and spoke to the owner, who said we weren't in the system even though I had the truck and reservation number on my phone. He called the DM, who told him to give me the keys to the truck. The owner then decided to dispense some dating advice and tell me that I needed to "find a man with a better attitude." I will not be returning to this location, and will deter anyone I know from going there.Brently S.
