!. Pick up location changed from Oakland to Pittsburg after confirming with Oakland facility two days before pick up. and Pittsburg was another hour away. 2. Office opened one hour late and office staff incorrectly marked the gasoline fill from lees than a 1/4 tank to 3/4 tank.3. Promised extra mileage was never given.. We were promised and confirmed a 26 ft. truck and were given a 20 ft. truck.david R.
The office is a dump. The worker was unprofessional. Was not there to return the truck as he said. Add charges that we shouldn't have had. When I called to ask him for my money back. He referred me to I 800 line. They were worst. Obviously there use to a lot of complaints. Sad. Overall the truck was a great experience. The truck got done what we needed to do. Very poor signage inside and outside. All "uHaul" related signage was not uHaul branded. Which made it hard to distinguish. The location did not seem inviting and or legitimate. The location also did NOT provide the proper Covid requirements for safe distancing (less than 6' of space inside.) When another customer came in, the individual at counter/office did nothing to ask them to step out. The rep also did not check the vehicle before. Did not pull it up. Did not even identify where it was located in the yard. I will not ever go back to this location again.Todd L.

When arriving noticed that facility was unsecure once I obtained the truck that was assigned to me I noticed that it was unsanitary and not cleaned properly I advised gentleman that I wanted a new truck and he told me it wasn't his problem I need to call customer service and over charged my card DO NOT GO TO THIS U-HAUL FACILITY!!!!!!Ryan G.

I like the service U-Haul is providing, but I will never recommend anyone to go the Pittsburgh office for renting, the customer service or sales persom give me a wrong vehicle and said you requested for this car, when I told him lets check the security cameras to know who is right then he said the cameras are not working, he charged me $133 for 32 miles however the cost per mile is $1. and he did a bad behavior with me.samsoor S.

Shabby office. Representative said I wouldn't have to pay for gasoline by the mark he put on the contract showing the original fuel level but the company said I returned it lower than it was. I was charged $17.00 more than I should have been. The representative said I was good to leave but the factor of the gasoline was not yet established. I should not have left until I knew exactly what I would be charged. I did leave so I have no proof to dispute the charge.Sandra B.

The guy at the front desk is RUDE. I was over charged and he started to cuss out my fiancÃ© just cause he asked where the drop box was. Mind you we were never told where it was in the first place. I will report this location cause the service is horrible!!!Tina P.
I felt super rushed with my rental. The person on site was super nice and handled what he could. I did quick check in 2 days before and it took me an hr to get out of there, and I had to return the rental by 1 bc it was rented by someone else for 1:30 I didn't get to move all my stuff. I arrived to find out it was checked out to someone other than my husband. According to the location it was my husband and another gentleman who had my husband DL and credit card with his name. We ended up not getting a truck and we had the worst two hour experience between the hour with police and one with uhaul customer service. In the meantime the gentlemen that had rented the truck arrived dropped it off while we were there and he still couldn't admit that they rented it to the wrong person. I will never rent from uhaul again!Oscar C.

The attendant was friendly and said we'd get a credit for gas because the person who returned the truck left the tank empty. Later when we picked up the truck and we're fully packed and ready to leave, we went to pump gas and soon found out that the gas pipe was cut in half so all the gas we tried putting in spilled out. The person who initially gave us the U-Haul did not verify the truck was okay and that it was properly maintained before we picked it up. We couldn't get any service for four hours and were stranded at Costco gas because of this and it set back our schedule dramatically.Nathan A.

Uploading my DL was a little frustrating. I tried several times on my computer, but the site never opened. When you send the link to use the mobile app, I suggest you add a line that states you take a picture from your phone while using the app. I didn't know this and uploaded my picture to the cloud thinking I needed to download it. It was very easy once I got to taking a picture.Jim S.

The truck was soaking wet. We were moving boxes to a new home. Had to get blankets to dry it out. The water was literally twoâ€ deep at front of truck. Upon returning the man was so rude it was horrible! We returned it one day early. I asked him if I would receive credit..he said watch your credit card statement. We picked truck up parked in driveway. At end of day we drove to see if there were drop off instructions on door (6:15 pm) He came out rudely and said â€œput truck where you found it not in middle of the street!) it was exactly where we found it! He grabbed keys, jumped in truck and flew to back of parking lot. Customer service needs improvement.kathy S.

I have never recieved worse customer service in my life. I used the online checkout process and reserved my van a few days in advance. I arrived at the lot, completed my checkout, and was informed that my keys were waiting inside, rather than in a drop box. The instructions told me to show the confirmation to the employee and they would give me the key. Instead of being given a key I was met with an "I don't know what that is" and proceeded to be harassed over the online checkout system. He actually threatened to cancel my reservation a few times before finally giving me the keys. Upon getting into the van I noticed 2 big problems, first, the van was absolutely filthy; I'm talking trash shoved into the doors, cereal covering the floor underneath both seats, the works. Second, I had a hand cart in the back of the van that I had not ordered or paid for. I spoke with customer services, returned the hand cart to the lobby, then went on my way thinking that was the worst of it. It was not, upon returning my rental I discovered that I was being charged for gas that was not in the van when I picked it up, and 40+ extra miles I had not driven. Clearly I am being charged for what the last person did. Worst of all, my $20 per day rental had SOMEHOW become $100 per day sometime between me picking the vehicle up and dropping it off. What started as a simple $35 rental became a $200 nightmare that I am still trying to deal with. It is obvious that not only does this location refuse to participate in the online checkout system, but they also do not properly check in vehicles which can lead to you getting charged for someone elses usage. The best thing Uhaul could do is end their contract with this location.Gavin M.

The truck I rented had disgusting old sticky food on the floor in the bed of trailer part of the truck. There was even old chicken bones in it. I didn't even want to set my furniture down in it. When we brought the truck back and told the guy about it he just shrugged his shoulders and threw his hands in the air. Note to others-obviously check for any outside damage to the truck and the level of gas in it before driving off but don't forget to check the actual cargo area of the truck as well.Whitney L.
