My approval took over 45 minutes while I sat at location which is unnecessary and unacceptable, cut into 45 minutes of moving time. Upon return the photos of the truck wouldn't upload, I called and got a representative who was extremely nasty and told me IT WASNT HER PROBLEM and to drive around until I could find a better signal.Jill D.

The truck was great and if it wasn't for the attendant being 8 minutes late to open the store for 9am I would have had a perfect experience. There were 3 customers waiting for her to open on the morning and one of them said she is â€œalways late- last time it was 20 minutesâ€. I had to make it to another appt so this is unacceptable and may keep me from renting here again that early. When I confronted her she didn't apologize just snapped â€œI'm not lateâ€. I said â€œit's after 9 you're lateâ€. The other staff were amazing and helpful and professional.Suzanne H.

Clean the truck better. I had reserved the 15 foot truck. But got a call later telling me that there were no 15' trucks and offered me the 10' one. Smaller truck which cost me more money because of the multiple trips that I had to do.NIMER K.
Pickup location and experience were fine. Truck was not very clean and clearly very old and in poor condition. Did not drive well and did not feel safe. I was so glad when we finally got to drop it off!!!!Justin M.

The 24/7 on line pick up process did not work. It seemed to have difficulty confirming my location even though location services were turned on. Tried everything but ended up having to go to counter to pick up and return the vehicle.Gordon E.

Your reservation system needs work. If you are going to have us reserve a truck at a location, have it there. We spent an hour searching for a truck weeks in advance and settled on Long Valley as it was the closest to our house in budd Lake nj. We get a call 48 hours ahead of time that long valley was only considered our preferred location and that the closest truck was in high bridge. Obviously our preferred location would be our home town. High bridge is 45 minutes away If you were honest about how you assign trucks we would not have been blindsided and would have spent a lot less time searching for a truck. Do better next timeBrian A.
While the car and location were nice, but the instructions for a contact less pick up are horrible and wasted 1 hour of our time. The instructions sent via text and not adequate, the links do not lead to a "check in" and the steps are ambiguous. Customer service was not able to help, just kept on saying go go uhaul.com/share which leads to nothing when I only have a reservation number. I was only able to self check in because on a whim I decided to look at my emails. Even the drop off process instructions on text messages are not consistent. They say to click here to start the drop off, but upon clicking the link it's just my receipt. I suggest you get this process straightened out. I dont think I will be using Uhaul again and will probably suggest to use it as a last resort next time. How do these incoherent process steps make it to production? Horrible.Mihir B.

The owner manager told me where the lock box was located but did not warn me to do the check in procedure. UHaul says this is in my contract but this is an adhesion contract and has to be reasonable on its face. Because I did not know about the photo check in procedure, the owner did not close my account for most of the next day, so I incurred additional charges beyond the $20 check in fee. I feel U-Haul treated me unfairly.James B.

The first trailer that I hooked up to the lights on the trailer would not work. We checked my cable and the fuse in my care and both appeared to be good. We hooked up to another trailer and the lights worked fine and that is the one that I took. The local folks at the rental location were excellent in working through the issue and getting me on my way. I do have issue with the fact that when I booked the trailer it was with a location that was in my immediate vicinity. I was called the day before the pick-up and told it was going to be at a location about 20 miles away. This caused me to add 40 miles to my day and I was just barely able to make the return time. This is not the first time that your on-site reservation system has done this to me so unfortunately I will likely not be using U-Haul again to rent as pick-up location reservation appears to mean nothing. To reiterate, the folks at R&K Petro were great, its U-Haul corporate I have the issue with.Kevin C.

U-Haul needs to get their web site in order. I arranged for an 830 am pickup only to find that the location does not open until 9. When I checked online I was directed to contact the location. I lost valuable time waiting and getting no information from U-Haul. This is not the first time I have had this problem. The people at the rental location were more then helpful and apologized.john H.

U-Haul reservation/communication system totally sucks. Every time I make a reservation and take the additional insurance off only to find it creeping back into the bill when I check the item out. Also, why are you guys sending me messages when I explicitly said that I wanted emails? Finally, if you're going to require following some stupid return procedure, make it know early on. Don't send me a message late a night when I'm already back home from returning the item. Fortunately the place has always been cool about the return.Antonio P.

Uhaul was horrendous this time. Being told by uhaul reps that the equipment we needed was at the same location when in fact it wasn't. Never had this issue with uhaul in 15 yrs. Locations and staff were great, just the main logistic uhaul people weren't.Catherine W.
