Revoke this locations partnership, the attendant, who may also be the business owner is completely unprofessional. The attendant was extremely rude, aggressive, and conformational. In addition, he did not wear a mask during Covid-19. Hands down worst u-haul experience ever.

I cannot say anything bad about this physical location. But u-haul as a company screwed up my reservation big time. I had scheduled a 20' truck to be picked up at 7am more than a week ahead of time. The night before I received a call letting me know that the location I had selected did not have it available until 9am. Which was fine at that point. I go to the location, and they don't even have a 20' truck available. No location within 15 miles had a truck available. Finally found one more than 25 miles away. Red Carpet didn't offer any type of comp for the major inconvenience, but I understand, it's not their fault. My move went from 7am to 12 pm by the time the truck was ready. I would still like for U-haul to provide some type of comp for the inconvenience of going out of my way (aside from the $50 - which I won't see in my account for more than 3-4 days) some type of free miles would have been great. My initial round trip move would have been only 6 miles.

Front driver side tire pressure was low (light on dashboard). Customer service did not find it worrisome. I was a bit perplexed as this truck would be used to have more heavier cargo once loaded. Stopped at gas station to put air. unacceptable that a flat tire was not addressed before handing off to us. Thank you

Smile when you greet a customer. Answer questions directly without sounding like you need to make the sale. I almost didn't use the service and wouldn't have if it wasn't for the fact it was 109 degrees outside to be doing trips on my truck. The location the woman could not smile for the life of her was in Santa Ana off of Fairview and Alton. First time ever renting Uhaul and last. A positive costs you nothing.

Manager is late and extremely rude. Asked him simply if he was the manager and responded in a rude manner! Seemed like he had very little patience! I would've made more of effort an to correct him but I seriously needed the Uhaul... definitely would not recommend to my friends unless they want poor quality service!

The only reason I would recommend this location is because the woman that runs it was so helpful considering U-Haul completely fowled up my reservation. It cost me double to move that day because of the error. I will be contacting corporate.

The location overall was great. However, when I reserved the truck I selected the truckshare 24/7 so that I could pick up the truck early, before the office opened. I confirmed this through your main telephone 3 times, and each time I was assured that I could pick it up at 8am. When I got there to pick it up at 8, I found out that I was scheduled for hand delivery. I had to wait until 9 when the office opened to get the truck. I needed to be back in Orange by 9, which is why I confirmed 3 times that I could pick it up early. I was on hold for over 30 minutes trying to get the problem resolved, but by that time the office was open. I was very disappointed in the level of professionalism displayed with uhaul. If you're not going to be able to pick the truck up until 9, that's fine, just don't tell me that I can pick it up early.

Picking up the van via app was a bit confusing.. I didn't know the process would take 20-30 minutes or I would've chosen a pick-up time half an hour earlier since we were on a tight moving schedule and had to be somewhere at a certain time. However, the van was super clean and well maintained, which was greatly appreciated!

Just ask for Tom and he will take great care of you and your needs. I have rented from him many times over the past, yet even now, he still asks me if I need any "Dolly's or Blankets" with my rental - What a Pro!!!

I Have used uhaula many times over the years and this was the first time I have been truly disappointed. We will never rent from this location again. (Red Carpet on Harbor in Costa Mesa) First, when we arrived, The “trailer” was unlocked with her purse and keys on the desk yet no one was to be found. We patiently waited. Next, she was not friendly at all. She was borderline rude. After we completed our move, the tru k engine light came on and read “engine power reduced. The truck was struggling going 30 miles and hour so I pulled over. I called the rental location Multiple times -no answer. I called the 800 number for customer service- no answer. I called for roadside assistance - the recording said to go online. I could not go online from the side of the road with limited cell service and my Phone battery was extremely low. Finally after 45 minutes wasted, I kept turning the engine on and off. The reduced power light went off so we took the longer route to avoid the freeway in case the truck broke down. Very upsetting and frustrating!!!!!!

Laura, the gal in the office was easy to work with and answered all the questions I had during the check-in process. Only took about 5 minutes from start to finish. I was going to do the mobile check-in, however Laura was there, and, let's face it, great customer service from a real live human being is far better than any mobile experience. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to rent a truck, as it was quick, efficient and extremely easy.👍

The truck was old 102K miles. The team had a sign on the door that masks were mandatory yet didn't wear any. As in previous reviews I had low expectations and they were met. That said the truck had what I needed and I was billed correctly after returning it early.

The place i went to pick it up in Santa Ana was completely awful. the lady that was helping me and my boyfriend out was extremely rude. we traveled for 15 miles and she charged us $90 for a 9' van. Horrible experience. never coming back again.

The lady seemed berry unfriendly. Unlike previous experiences at Uhauls, staff are friendly and welcoming. We stood the entire time, and also, while we returned the truck in 3 hours, our rate was changed to a daily, and paid more. Definitely not going back.

Don't give out equipment to none reserve customer. My truck was given to the man in line in front of me “Arthur” which he does not have reservations for it. I was in line already behind him where I already checked in and just picking up my keys. I was shocked they assume I was not coming then gave my keys/RESERVED TRUCK to the man infront of my line then I was forced to rent whatever truck they have and which exceed my budget. VERY HORRIBLE POLICY THEY HAVE AND PEOPLE THEY HAVE NEED TO BE TRAIN BASED ON U-HAUL POLICY VERY BAD PLACE IN YELP I WILL NOT GIVE THIS ONE A GOOD REVIEW THEY ARE RUINING UHUAL REPUTATION.

Original reservation made a week in advance was cancelled without notice. Called Uhaul to confirm, only to find out reservations were overbooked & vehicle not available. Found alternate vehicle at different location. Employee on duty was not wearing a mask while serving multiple customers. This was troubling considering the pandemic and local county mask order. Otherwise, employee did a fairly good job, despite a 45 minute wait because of Uhaul website malfunction. Cab of vehicle was dusty, indicating that pandemic-related sanitation measures were not taken. Returning vehicle was easy, no problems.

I didnt like that at the last minute they changed the pick up place. So i had to make arrangements and ta kn e the bus to pick up the rental. They did give me a $50 discount for the inconvenience so all in all was just compensation.

When I reserved my U-Haul, it said that 30 miles were included. I assumed this meant 30 miles of gasoline use because this wasn't clarified online anywhere. When I returned the truck, I got a notification saying that I owed $42 for gas (a couple dollars for the small amount of gas I used plus a $30 'service fee'). I asked the person working at the dropoff location why I was getting charged when 30 miles were included (which is what I incorrectly thought), and instead of clarifying, she basically just said don't worry about it, you won't get charged, and you'll get an email. If she had explained where this charge came from and what it meant, I would've just left and put a little bit of gas in it to avoid the $30 service fee. Her being unhelpful made me waste $30, which was extremely frustrating (it was also frustrating that this wasn't clearly described when I made the reservation...it was just written in tiny fine print on the printout they gave me). To summarize, my experience with U-Haul was a terrible one - I'll never use U-Haul again and will strongly recommend against using it to any friends and family.

First time using this company and I just wanna tell to all my friends on social media never use this company, I pick up the truck at 3:28pm and I ask the guy if can can drop off the truck to other Location cuz the closed so early he told just park the truck in the location parking and I did asked I have to pay for fees? He said "NO" now they are changing me $20 dollars fee and the say cuz I had to marked online the time when I dropped off, but they never told me about this and i did called and yadira from customer service answered and she never help she is a bad customer service.

I rented the a 26-foot truck on 11/21 at Newport Beach Location pick up wrestling mats to use for a tournament from two local high schools. The milage charge was 23.14 and I paid for gas which was 2 gallons and a total of 11.50 a gallon. That seemed fair. On 11/25 i rented the same Van but from a different location the milage charge was 24.92 which was a difference of $1.78. However, at this location on Fairview st in Santa Ana, I was charged 4.5 gallons for an additional mile or two for a total of $25.88. I just feel like there must be some kind of shenanigans going on here. It's too bad because I liked the guy at 2nd location and it was a much smoother process to rent a truck.

Improve customer service/customer experience. Upon return of the vehicle, the lady assisting me said I'll receive a receipt via email. I requested to have her inspect the truck (verify mileage) at that moment in order to get the receipt before leaving the location. She stated in a rude manner that she was busy at the moment and I'd have to wait outside... I sat down and told her I'd wait inside. She said she wouldn't be able to assist me until I went outside because her purse (personal belongings) and company money were inside and she didn't feel comfortable leaving me inside alone. This is unacceptable, she's pretty much stated that if she left me alone in there I'd steal something. Training would be helpful! Much needed. She could've asked to walk with her to inspect the vehicle rather than saying I can't stay in the building because I might steal something! I'll definitely never be going back to that place!
