This location was fine except I was told it was 24/7 drop off, both over the phone with customer service and then in store was told I could park the truck outside the gate after hours. But the overall experience was a disaster, not because of this location but because of how U-haul as a corporation handled me as a customer. I had the entire mission planned out. My brother was going to help, until uhaul dropped the ball. It was the worst experience I've had with any company ever. Plan was I would pick up Saturday in Ukiah and load everything. While handing off car to my brother. I would drive up early Sunday and unload and he would follow. Then I'd drop off u-haul a few blocks away and drive us both back to Ukiah where I could start cleaning of house. Instead... U-haul calls me Saturday morning saying they don't have the truck in Ukiah, but they went ahead and moved my reservation to Myers Flat in Humboldt county. So my pickup location is over 100 miles from the loading location. The only way I can make this work is to park my car along the road in Myers Flat. So I have them also change my drop off spot to match the pick up spot after they assure me over the phone that it's a 24/7 drop off (it's not, more on that later) Two hour drive to Myers Flat. At the rental spot I ask the agent where to park after hours and he said just right outside the gate. Two hours back to Ukiah. So I spend a bunch more in gas driving round trip between Myers Flat and Ukiah. Then load up and drove to Fortuna . During this time I'm very busy and don't notice a text that said they don't have 24/7 drop off there so they went ahead and changed my drop off location to Eureka. Since my car is in Myers Flat that's not an option. I try calling but it's now after hours even for customer service. So I unloaded, dropped it off at Myers Flat anyways the very same night, but there wasn't a drop box for keys so I had to throw a padlock on the back and keep the key on me and go back in this morning to finalize it. Called in yesterday to have them change it back. So another drive out of my way and spent a lot more in gas than I had budgeted. All the changes to the order made it difficult for the team to finalize the check-in process, but they were very friendly during the time. Claims to be 24-hour drop off. Great, since I have work early the next day and can't get there before closing. Arriving at 9pm to drop off a trailer, we find a pitch black lot with a locked gate. Uhaul says if I leave it on the street, I'm liable. So I waste an hour on the freeway and more gas to return when they're open, after I'm two hours late to work.Evan C.

Do not schedule an appointment if you can not keep it! I was scheduled to have a brake controller installed in my vehicle and paid for the overnight so it could get done on Friday but they still didn't have the part or schedule a appointment to install it.Nathan M.

The only thing I would suggest is having a sign in the Uhaul parking area to indicate that the office is actually the green building in the next lot over. Other then that, very satisfied with our rental experience and the level of customer service provided by the folks at Redwood Garden Supply & UhaulLoren T.

I was not happy with uhaul in eureka. No customer service. I thought I was picking up the uhaul in eureka, turns out I ended up having to drive over 2 hours to get the truck which was horrible and would have been easier had I known more in advance. No help in eureka. Myers flat was awesomeDesiree G.
The trailer was not hooked up to our car properly. The chains were dragging on the ground and the brake/electrical lines were not hooked up to our car at all. I had to do it myself when we got the trailer home.Elaine G.
