Change your representation, bad location seedy building felt like I needed to take a shower when I left. Billing has not been settled yet they put more mileage than I used plus a cleaning fee it was clean when returned!Gene K.
They added insurance we did not want; we hooked up a 12' trailer to a 26' truck, was then told to unhook it - it was the wrong trailer. I am 70 years old the 12' trailer is heavy - I was given no help or assistance. While in Birmingham we were sent to a total of 4 locations to pick up our truck, trailer and pads/dolly. After all of that they increased the rental truck quote from 328 to 340 - and charged us for the 12; trailer twice. Amazing how you take the money out of my account within 5 but it takes you 5-7 days to return it when it's clearly your fault. I have been a loyal Uhaul customer for years. I have contacted customer service and am awaiting a call from them - none to date.Aron C.

Make sure you have the correct equipment that was promised. I set this reservation up a month in advance to make SURE I would have the appliance Dolly I needed. U Haul changed my location from what I booked which had me driving 30 minutes out of the way each direction, then the Dolly I needed was not there and could not find one at other locations, so I never got that needed equipment. The location was not open and was gated when I tried to return the trailer, which was a great inconvenience.Bridget B.

Just inform them before starting paperwork about taking card only instead of cash. I had to go put can in the bank and return to use the card. Everything else was fine and smooth. Gentleman that helped me was very polite.Daniel D.

I extended my contract 3 extra hours and was charged right when I ask. I turned in my rental before the original 24 hrs. I asked for an extension because the lock gave us problems this morning. My calls should be logged in. I am asking to be refunded the $30 ish dollars. Thank you.Carol H.

original reservation made thru "saved by grace automotive" at 1500 Hueytown Rd. That guy was worthless & borderline criminal & never actually had the trailer I had reserved. The other extreme was Signature Auto Sales, who solved my frantic phone calls searching for a trailer on Saturday. People were professional & accommodating. I plan to rent again from them.jim K.
I am very disappointed with the service I received. I was charged a $25 cleaning fee for a truck that was in poor shape when I received it! When I talked to the lady at Signature Auto Sales, she said that they had to sweep out broken glass. I did a walk through with an employee at the time of return and he told me everything was ok! If there was a problem with the way the truck was returned, it should've been addressed at the time!!! I will NEVER do business here again!!Kourtney T.

The location and people were great. The front end was going out on the truck, it's probably one of the oldest U-Haul trucks I've seen on the road in the last 5 years. We weren't able to make our second run because it Was concerning to my husband, who drives a 19k lb 10 wheeled truck daily. The size of the truck wasn't much out of his norm.Caylon L.

There were several issues with the rental. 1. The initial rental location was a unknown convenience store of questionable risk. If I had been a woman, I wouldn't have gone in there. As it was, I wouldn't let my wife or our family friend that was to drop us off go in either. 2. Then I found out they didn't have a rental for us and our rental had been moved to a different town, roughly 20 miles away. Very fortunately, our friend had waited on me with my wife in the car while I figured out what was going on. 3. The family friend drove us to the new location, which made her late to an appointment of her own. 4. The new rental location was also a pretty sketchy place. One rental truck was visible that was not the size we needed. The building I had to enter was obviously in a sketchy area as they had an automatic door lock that someone inside had to open. 5. One of the two people in the building which had no U-Haul logos or any other marking, disappeared and came back about 10 minutes later with our truck. 6. We accepted the rental but as we were driving back to the town where we needed to make our pickup we noticed the interior of the windows were really dirty. It was as if someone cleaned the window with a muddy rag. The rest of the interior of the cab was also, quite dirty, although, thankfully the actual seats weren't. 7. The inside of the cargo area was mostly clean.Charles T H.

This Bessemer location was great!! BUT Our original reservation out of Tuscaloosa was CANCELLED by Uhaul without our knowledge. We just happen to find out when calling with a question. Uhual helped us get a reservation at the Bessemer location but it was 140 miles extra out of our way ----- the rental cost was the same but I paid was more for gas for my truck going to pick up and the rental truck fuel having to go those extra miles. I use Uhaul and was really disappointed they gave our rental away in Tuscaloosa. It was during moving week so they had plenty of people walking in without reservations and gave our truck away!!!!!!!!DAWN N.

The trailer/tow seemed to have some type of squeaking sound near axle. On the way while hauling the car the tire blew on the trailer. WE were able to make it back to the location and advised that it would be repaired. Equipment may need to be checked and maintained better, going forward. I registered online for Pelham location. Got there and was told they did not have one even though one was out front. Had to go 45 minutes to Bessemer to pick it up. This caused us to be 1.5 hours late to pick up our furniture and we missed our event in Mobile that we were suppose to be back for. Was told I was given a text but none were received. Then told a message left on house phone. We had not been home for 3 days so could not have gotten it. But when I did get home there was no message. We were told we would be given a $50 credit but do not feel that is adequate. Please have customer service call me at 251-421-2219.Tom P.

My reservation was changed to this location. The whole experience was awful. Unsafe location Unprofessional personnel Could not return trailer after 24 hours because location was closed and they did not want me to drop it if in front of the gate. Missed two hours of work by dropping it of on Monday morning. Still nobody was present at 8:00 and I left the trailer in front of the gate. Nobody helped to connect or disconnect trailer. ..... It was difficult to locate this pick up location. The attendant was very disinterested in my rental, He asked if I could have the trailer back by noon tomorrow, and I said "yes." Unbeknownst to me he charged me for 2 days rental since it was 10:30 when I rented it. When I went back to drop it off (before 10:30) the gate was locked, and there was no way in. I called customer service for u-haul to explain the dilemma and they put me on hold for at least 15 or 20 minutes and never came back on the line. I called back and after a lengthy hold they told me to leave the trailer outside the gate. I said that I did not feel good about this, since it was right on the street, but I would. I also explained to this service agent that they had charged me for 2 days instead of one, and they assure me that the final bill would be corrected. After I dropped off the trailer, I called customer service again and told them that I had dropped the trailer off outside the gate, but that I did not feel good about it due to the neighborhood, and it being right on the street. I also explained again about being charged for 2 days. She again assured me that she would not it and that it would be corrected on my final bill. The next day a U-haul representative called me to ask if I was going to drop off the trailer today. Dumbfounded, I explained all of the above information and how many times I called etc. I also mentioned again the fact that I was billed for 2 days. When I got the final bill, of course it was for 2 days. This is very disappointing to me, since in the last 6 weeks I have rented trailers at least 3 times and also a 26 foot truck. I have been a very good customer to U-haul, and this was a very bad experience.Dana H.
