Have been charged twice for ibsurance thst I have declined bith times. Ive spiken to the location manager he said i havevto cobtact uhaul ...i have emailed and spoken to soneone and amd I jyst keep being given the run around . Location manager fibalky said he would take care of tbe refund for both times i rented once in April and once in MayKELLIE P.
I made a reservation to pick up my Uhaul at 8am, one hour before this location opened, using Truck Share 24/7. On my way to pick up the truck, I was told I would have to wait until 9am when the store opened and pick it up inside. This was incredibly frustrating. I didn't find out until I got to the store at 9 that the person who used the truck before me had returned it late the night before. I understand this is out of Uhaul's hands, and I felt bad that the man working had waited past business hours for the guy to return, but I could have planned my day better had I known I couldn't pick it up until 9am. I feel fortunate that I only wasted an hour; had I scheduled a 6am pickup time this would have been a massive inconvenience. It should be required to give notice of these sorts of setbacks. The guy who rented it to us was very kind and understanding, and said it was fine if we returned it past the scheduled time since we had a setback.GWENMADLYN C.

They were very rude in the shop. The man asked me to sign the truck out on on my phone, so I followed the directions, but it would not work. He said it was simple, and me asked why I couldn't I do it (his attitude seemed to be that I was too stupid). I had to give him my phone, and he could not do it either. He refused to wear a mask and had no wipes for my phone. He ended up having to do it on his own phone. He refused to let me check out of the condition of the truck and the milage, so I had to trust that he was beinpreviously from the cabinet shop up the street, and the experience there was MUCH better.Lisa S.

First be more transparent with the costs. I was told that the mileage fee would be $1.49 per mile and on the bill I was charged $1.89 per mile . Also, Mike from Southampton Upholstery where I picked up the truck told me I wouldn't be charged for a second day if I returned it by Sunday 12:00 pm which I did and now I've been charged anyway.Courtney K.

Hello - I locked my keys in the lockbox when I returned the car so I didn't submit interior pictures of the cab or rear spaces to upload upon return. Please allow me to send you the pictures here I took pictures from the exterior windows once I realized. Odometer I was unable to get a picture of at all since the car was turned off and locked. I saved half a miles choosing this location but lost 1 hour of my time and got insulted by an egomaniac. If it was not for the help of a Uhaul area manager that was visiting, I would not have gotten my truck. I will pass you the details. The dealer was sleeping in his office when I arrived. I told him what I needed and he made up a contract. I paid based on a two day rental with an estimate of 100 miles. This was for in town use. I have rented U-hauls many times before, so I know that if I go over the mileage, keep it more days or don't fill the gas tank to the same level as when I took it, there will be an extra fee. I made sure to re-fill the tank a bit over the correct level, I came in a few miles under 100 and returned it on the correct day, so I was surprised to see an additional charge for $63.42 on my debit card a few days later. When I went back to the dealer to ask what the extra charge was for he said (after I woke him up) that was the final fee, the first amount I paid was just an estimate. I explained that I expected that the fee I paid the day I took the truck was the total fee unless I incurred additional extra charges (gas, mileage, not returning on time). For several minutes I was trying to talk to him and tell him this was not the service I was used to from U-Haul, I expected the payment to be accurate on the day I took the vehicle, he kept waking away from me and finally he said "it's just an estimate, I don't have time to go figure out the whole cost including insurance and everything!" then he walked away so I could no longer speak to him. I've had great service from other U-Haul rental companies and will continue to use them, but I will never go back to this one and I will be sure to recommend to others not to use this one.Pamela G.

There was an issue when the dealer added extra charges for mileage accidentally. He couldn't undo the change and had to cancel the reservation and make a new one. His application should have been able to allow him to back out changes he made to the reservation. The truck was not provided with a full tank of gas, it is difficult to return the truck with the same level of gasoline when it isn't full to start. Also, the contract stated the gas tank was 7/8 full, and it was 3/4 full. In the end I paid too much to fill the tank to ensure I wasn't charged for extra fuel. In addition the new reservation was made to drop off the truck at a different location which was much further away. This was not explained to me and I had to call customer service to change it. I waited on hold for over an hour total across 2 phone calls to make this change.Irving T.

Our pick up location was changed which is understandable. The truck my son and I rented should not be on the road. It is unstable and the steering is a major problem I am surprised that this was not checked. When I return the truck I told the gentleman that they need to take this off the road before someone gets hurt . In addition he could not find a reservation so he treated this as a walk-in customer however I was charged in insurance of $14 which was not authorized . I rent quite frequently from U-Haul and I know this is not up to your standardsdavid M.

The best customer experience I have ever had with UHaul. After a year of asking for the return of a pickup truck in Southampton, finally they have a pick up for me to rent and I don't have to drive to Hampton bays. After several calls to the regional manager for UHaul for over a year, the company finally brings a truck back for me to rent. The regional manager for UHaul was useless in addressing my requests. Young and difficult to deal with but, fortunately you have a new UHaul location with excellent service. Thanks. Paulpaul B.
