I had to wait over an hour at this location..after my location was transferred because the employee lied and said “ I don't have a reservation for you” after they said “we don't do one way trucks”. (Then why tf was I able to book at your location?? I had to drive and extra 30 minutes to this location to get my truck AFTER they had to postpone my reservation. The mileage on the truck they tried to give me did not match what was logged because their manager neglected to update the mileage in they system. I had to wait over an hour for them to figure it out, eventually I had to get a new truck.. THE WORST FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL GIVE UHAUL MY MONEY. Terrible experience

Maybe just clarify that checking in ahead of time doesn't eliminate all of the steps needed to get the truck. A safe estimate is add 10 minutes to pick up and 5-10 to drop off

The van I rented was NOT clean. I returned this van with same amount of gas that I picked it up with. I took a picture of the fuel gauge when I received it. I returned it to the same level. Only final billing they charged me for 2 gallons of gas! At today's prices it came to charge of $6.50 extra! I will never use this U-Haul location again. It doesn't open until 9 am an hour after I reserved the vehicle for. Very disatisfied.

Well, first off I reserved my u haul at a different location. They did not have my truck at time of reservation. I expected $50 back from rental guarantee. But I was not credited. Also getting a truck from another location took way longer. And the truck they provided had check engine light on. Apparently it was normal for them so U haul should be doing a better job to provide service for these trucks. Overall this was really expensive for low quality I don't think other rental services have this many issues.

Honor your reservations! Was called the day of pickup, told there is no vehicle at the location I ordered from and that i would have to drive an hour to get the vehicle. When called the main number, the person was rude and dismissive. This is why I will never rent from UHaul again!

What a horrible experience. When we first picked up the truck we couldn't get the engine to start. The employee there had to start it. When we got to the storage shed and turned off the motor, we once again couldn't get it to either start or get the key out of the ignition. We lost so much time and couldn't rely on the truck so after someone came to start it, we just returned the truck. NEVER use Uhaul again!!!!! Not dependable truck. The clerk in the Star Mart was very nice and tried to help us, but there was little he could do. We lost a half day and paid for a truck we couldn't use!!

Fuel gauge on my 15 ft truck was inaccurate. I drove a total of 8 miles and when I went to top off the gas it took 7.4 gallons and cost $20.

The truck I rented needs some maintenance, check engine light is on, Am/FM radio does not work, truck transmission automatically goes into trailer towing mode every time it is started.

The employee on duty was rude and he told me that the next time I come in there, I needed to be wearing a mask. I have a medical exemption from wearing a mask and I told him that the reason I began the online process was so that I would not have to come into the store. He told me that I still needed to come in to get the key, and to charge my card. I said okay, I also told him that I was in a hurry because where I was going was going to close at 5:30 pm. He asked me if he could help a customer who had just walked in and I said no, please finish with me because I am in a hurry. He then completed the checkout and gave me the key. The reason I insisted that he finish with me was that two days earlier (Feb 21, 2021) I rented another truck and went through the same inconvenience while he helped one customer after another and kept me waiting. I did not mind it so much on Sunday, but yesterday I was in a hurry and could not afford to be inconvenienced like that again. The employee handed me the key and told me in a demanding voice, "Make sure you back it in when you bring it back." I drove away from the U-Haul location at 5:03 pm. I returned the truck at 6:51 pm. I backed the truck into the same spot where it was parked when I picked it up. I then walked into the location and handed the same employee the key. I had the truck for less than 2 hours and I returned it cleaner than when I picked it up. Then today, I reviewed my U-Haul receipt and was shocked to see all the added charges he applied to my rental. I rented a 10 ft truck and put 8 miles on it. When you add the Environmental Fee and Rental Tax, my total should have been approximately $31.05. Instead, I was charged $20 for afterhours service fee - Seriously? and a $25.00 cleaning fee? Really? The total amount charged to my card was $80.85. I called the rental location and spoke to the proprietor who said that I would have to talk to U-Haul, He said I was rude to his employee and did not wear a mask even when I returned the truck. The employee left him a note with those comments. I asked him, so you charged me for those things because I did not wear a mask. "And you were rude to my employee", he said. To clarify, I asked him, “Are you charging me extra because I was rude and did not wear a mask”? He said "No, not for that" These are the charges he put on your card. You will have to take that up with U-Haul. So, this dealer will add any charges he feels are necessary if you are not nice to him. Really, I think the FCC and other licensing authorities need to hear about this.

This is, so far, my favourite location in this area. What the store lacks in ambience is made up in customer service. The owners and staff are extremely nice and very professional. The vans have always been spotless when I pick them up from this location.

I am highly upset with this company. The gentleman who helped us was very rude. When placing the Order I made a Mistake and put 9 am return time instead of 3 PM. The guy told me oh well there is nothing I can do about it. Either you return it at 9 am or I charge you a whole extra day. Which makes no since because no matter if you choose return at 9 am or 4 pm on the website it doesn't affect the cost. We ended up paying over 200 for a uhaul when we were only supposed to pay 129. I am highly upset and would like a refund for the way I was treated. I will tell Everyone about this location and the services. I am highly dissatisfied.

YES, SATISFIED with on-line check in & pickup. Convenient & time saving. Van drove great; was perfect for my task. HOWEVER, I'm not able to get an adjusted receipt after return of vehicle within the 4 hr reserved time and during business hours at Star Mart. I called the tel # as directed on emailed survey. Wrong place: Capital Blvd, Wake Forest. No contract#/No record of my name. He said call the 1-800 468-4285 and get quicker service. Yes, that's the published number/1-800-GO U HAUL; however, that is answered by a solicitation/survey link the loops from one product to another. After hitting the # key six times, I was passed to a Robo, posed my request for a final receipt and was told the system does NOT recognize U Haul. Next I called StarMart number on my printed receipt 919/263-2269. There's no answer there. After interminable rings, it passed to either a pager or fax line which beeped & then disconnected. SO NO -- I'm NOT SATISFIED with UHAUL. There's a credit due back to my credit card for the differential of only 46 miles driven -- not the estimated 50 -- plus the gas was topped off 2.767 gal @ $5.64, and this was less than the 4 hrs rental time allotment and return was during business hours. I had a 1:45 reservation, the truck wasn't available. The franchise owner said that U Haul Corporate had "screwed up" and it was the second time that day that this had happened. I was told the truck wasn't going to be available until 4 pm. I had to wait two hours for a truck that I had a confirmed reservation for, I had no choice because no other rentals were available Nd I had to pick up two couches and a love seat by 7pm that day. It was a huge inconvenience and I will NEVER use UHaul again.

Will not rent again from u haul. An hour and a half before pickup uhaul changed my reservation to a farther location without providing any discounts for the extra cost i incurred to pick it up and drop it off. The site where i documented the condition of the truck upon pickup would give me errors and took 30 min to verify condition, wasting time from my move. The back door wouldnt close properly. the latch got stuck on the roof, spent over 30 min trying to close the door, called the roadside assistance to get help when the door latch got stuck on the roof and waited 40 min without any answers, wasting precious time and energy of my move.

Told location that the "check engine light" was on, but was told it had been like that for months & not to be concerned ... Well, next day truck would not start, had to get a jump ... When I returned to location, told the worker what had happen & to have the truck checked ... I would still recommend location because of its convenient location, but to make sure no warning lights are on the truck.

The van was dirty. The back and the front.There was yellow paint all over the doors and literally dirt in the back. The proprietor of the store was very nice and did ask us if we wanted a different van, but I already had started the paperwork on the one we originally were given.

Clearly explain the equipment return procedure via mobile device requires images of the fuel and mileage and cargo area. Do NOT put the key in the drop box until you are completely finished with the return on the mobile device.
