Our uhaul was a box truck and it was pretty beat up meaning old. There was NO REAR view mirror or any way of seeing the back of the truck. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS! Especially when driving on the highway and in the small streets. These vehicles needs to be upgraded and updated. There was no sanitizer to use for cleaning the vehicle. The gas was lower than indicated. Better management needs to happen and executives needs to inspect the vehicles being rented to everyone.Bharati K.

I can't say you need to improve anything I really enjoyed the customer service that I got it was very professional and on-point thanks U-Haul for a great experience thanks to Freddyjaquline D.
My issues were move with U-Haul corporate than this specific location. My expectations were not managed from the start. U-Haul's online reservation system is not at all aligned with individual locations. Some ways this affected me were: 1. I was allowed to make a 24/7 mobile pick up reservation because I wanted to get my vehicle prior to the location opening. I arrived only to learn that the location did not support mobile pick up and had to wait there until the location opened. This threw off my entire schedule for move in and cost me money as movers were sitting at my apartment waiting for me to arrive with a truck! 2. I ordered 3 dozen moving pads and the location didn't have any. They never had any! So I was forced to make a move with items not being protected by pads and blankets as I had planned. Overall, U-Haul took all the planning I had done to have a successful move and flushed them down the toilet. The Storage Maxx location is far from ideal, but the issues I had were due to the incompetence of the parent company.nanayaw A.

Mileage was not verified at the beginning of the reservation, and I ended up getting charged more than I should have been, the representative was not very polite, and when I addressed the concern the representative used profanity which made me feel very uncomfortable and threatened. I will never recommend uhaul due to that kind of scary situation.michael T.

I was expected to be there @ 9am but I was coming from the Queens side of the Whitestone Bridge & I was detoured because the ramp to get onto the bridge so I was 16min late & I was rushed to return the vehicle @ 12pm, they even called me 2x to see where I was and it was 11:45am.Christine L.

Explain the charges to customers. Be knowledgeable about drop off times. I was told I can drop the uhaul at any time and that was a lie. After being turned away from the drop off point I had to drive around for an hour just to find parking for the uhaul which meant more mileage that I had to pay for. I wouldn't recommend uhaul to anyone. You're better off paying a moving companypassion T.

The truck itself was in great condition. My only complaint was with the cleanliness of the driver area. It smelled strongly of marijuana and these were ashes and cigar fillings all over the cup holders, seats, and floor.Daniela M.

I can honestly say that Freddie was very attentive in helping me to the fullest extent. He ensured to assist me in order to get me the cargo van I really needed to move. I can only say that if this business was opened till 8pm to just ensure that when turning cargo van you give it in to an actual uhaul rental employee.AMARILYS N.

The uhaul was dirty and had empty bottles of water in it. The cup holders were sticky. And there was trash throughout the driver and passenger side. Also the gas tank was less than halfway full.Zanatra O.

I got charge for gas and I wasn't suppose to. When I got to this location the guy in charge didn't want to look at my recipet he said all the information is on the computer and that I can go I will receive a email if anything was wrong. That's when I notice I was charge $17.42. I called and he said no one can help me that I need to call "go u-haul" and they couldn't even help me they said I had to make a review and they will call me! Didn't inform me that the drop off was a parking garage as I drove around. I was not supposed to be charged an additional fee and now I'm waiting over a week for my refund -- 2 emails to your contact e-mail - no response as of yet - -3 phone calls to main number and they always say I'll have my refund by end of day.
