The Cargo Van, was disgusted/dirty and smelled like manure! As we all know going trough a special times/pandemic, is for U-HAUL to be conscious and treat your customers with well-respect! The Uhaul application should be terminated. It took us 30+ min to pickup the truck remotely. Required multiple in-app messages (I waited 10min for 1 reply) and I had to flip between uhaul.com and the Uhaul app to successfully pickup and drop off the truck. When we returned the truck, I noted that there was a warning light but there was no where to say what it was - it said â€˜service air bags' right where the odometer is. Also the truck was actually located behind the lighting store beside the dry cleaners so we returned it there but the return instructions said we had to return it to the dry cleaners at 117 Cross Avenue. We then moved the truck to 117 Cross Avenue and completed the return instructions but when we went to drop the keys in the key box, the gentleman from the cleaners said we should have returned it to behind the lighting store! This was very confusing and contradicted the instructions on the mobile return - for future renters, the return location should be clarified.Lauren D.

We seemed to do a lot of driving back and forth to figure out the procedure of getting our van. We went to the location indicated, then were told to go to where the van was parked and then had to go back to the first location to get the keys and then back to get the van. Also, we had rented a furniture dolly which wasn't in the van when we picked it up. We did call the 1-800 number to notify them of the missing dolly and were told we'd be reimbursed the charge. When I dropped off the van I noticed the charge had not been reversed so I then filed a complaint to notify them. We received the credit no problem but my issue was with the options that were given in order to file the complaint. I ended up saying it was an issue with the call centre which it wasn't. The lady we spoke with was extremely professional and cordial but having no other options that came close to describing our issue, I had to go with that one. I felt bad saying it was an issue with the call centre since it wasn't. It was an issue with the equipment missing.Monika R.

UHaul needs to update this locations hours on the web site. I booked the van for 9:00am with an appointment to pick up a sofa at 10:00am and reserved the elevator for 10:30am to discover that the store does not open till 10:00am. I should have received an email or a phone call advising me that the hours have changed. I would have rated 'Excellent' except for the poor customer service from UHaul.Robin W.

I tried mobile pickup and it was very hard to find the vehicles - they were hidden at a lot away from the usual centre. I called support to get someone from the centre to come out and help me and even though he was friendly, it took much longer to finalize all the information in person and pick up the car than I expected. The location itself looked old, there was antique furniture in the centre and the payment machines tap feature did not work. I was told it was â€˜for show'. Very disappointing considering there should be touchless payment options given the current pandemic. Overall the centre and technology used in the centre was outdated. Lastly I want to point out that the pricing used on the website is very misleading - though the original price for the uhaul was $19.95, after additional fees and mileage I ended paying nearly $50 (and that was only for 2 hours!). From a branding perspective I would consider changing your pricing model or include upfront fees into the advertising. I would have been happy to know exactly what I'd be paying for before all the additional fees. Overall - not a great experience.Raquel A.

The gentleman at the dry cleaning place that got the Uhaul paperwork and vehicle for me was just the sweetest and funniest. Uhaul's site said I can pick up via mobile before opening hours but apparently that's not the case. He was kind enough to call me the day before to let me know not to come before 9. Firstly, the U-Haul truck I was given by this location was in faulty condition. The left signal was broken. People were honking me in the middle of the road while I was changing lanes due to the fact that the signal was not working. This could have been a fatal accident. Secondly, I was charged for a damage fee made to the truck. I did not scrape this truck anywhere. There was no physical damage made to this truck. There was some plastic wrap stuck to the truck, for which I then got charged for. The gentlemen at the dealership did not do a pre-inspection of the truck prior to giving me the keys. Upon return of the truck, he claimed I had damaged it. Could you kindly, refund the total of the truck. Not only was I given a faulty truck, but I was also charged a damage fee. I would suggest putting a sticker prominently on the dash with the full capacity of the fuel tank for the vehicle. That way, if it was clear that the user had to refuel 25% of tank it would be possible to approximately calculate number of litres/gallons etc. Alternatively, this information could be generated in the reservation email but I think a sticker is better solution.Kerry L.
Hi. My husband and I picked up a Uhaul yesterday and we would like to make a complaint about the condition on the inside of the cab. There was a slimey substance on the driver's seat and a really old plate of food on the floor. The whole cab is in very dirty conditions but those were two big issues. The vehicle was not what I had asked for I was told by this location and the Woody's location in Oakville the trucks were 4x4,when they were not. As I use these trucks mainly in bad weather I always got you 4x4s for the convenience and safety, had we gotten more snow that evening the truck would have been a waste. I found this to be an unpleasant experience. Most businesses you can walk in at your convenience. This guy forced a long discussion about exactly when I should show up, and then called me when I was 5 mins. late. Then he took a half hour doing the contract, because he stopped 3 times to service his dry cleaning customers. Then we discovered he'd rented me a truck, not the van I asked for. Nothing resembling an apology was forthcoming. By this time I could not stay to correct the situation. After all that he charged me for 2 days even though I rented exactly 24.5 hours and he was closed Sunday and had no way of knowing when I actually returned it. Why be honest with such a person? Making it clearer that the key box is located in the plaza *next* to where the van is parked (where the lighting store is) would help a bit - I was very confused when I found another U-haul van parked there (someone else's) and thought we had the wrong location.
