Attn : Joe Shoen U-Haul International Amerco.com Edward Joseph "Joe" Shoen (born October 28, 1949) is an American businessman. He is the president, chairman, and chief executive officer (CEO) of AMERCO , the holding company of U-Haul International. order # 29921508 The alleged owner of the business where your branch was located caused me a lot of grief, and delay. He prevented me from completing my transaction, and paying my bill. I have yet to receive a full receipt for charges. The incident began when I asked my moving helper to throw a large bag of trash in the dumpster behind this business. My helper got permission from an employee to do so. The unknown to me business owner came into the store with an attitude of arrogance and anger. He said I owed him $24 for depositing my trash in his bin. I instructed this person to tell my helper to remove the garbage from the bin. This scumbag business owner and I began to exchange words. At one point he stated, in front of a witness, he had nothing to do with Uhaul. So I asked him why was he even talking to me. He then instructed the employee to stop processing my payment. And I waited and waited and waited. More words were exchanged and the owner insisted I leave the premises before concluding my payment. I refused to leave until I completed my transaction. He then got on a radio and called "some sort of security" for backup to remove me from the premises. I then left immediately, fearing for my safety. I may pursue legal remedy as I have deep legal skills, and lots of experience. I want Uhaul to rescind his franchise, and stop doing business with this person immediately. He is very bad news. He treats his employees just as bad, from my observation. I have the right to stop payment on this transaction. I contacted my credit card company minutes after I left that location, explaining the situation, and demanding I have the ability to stop payment. They agreed to support me. I want the detailed bill from Uhaul on this transaction. If I do not receive a detailed bill from Uhaul, or I decide to pursue legal action, or both, I will stop payment on the bill. In which case Uhaul will be included in the filing. This is to be considered proper legal notice of intent to file. I will also be contacting the CEO of Uhaul, in his/her personal capacity, with a notice of intent to file, and an accompanying affadavit. I am NOT going to let this evil, nasty person off the hook. It took an hour ti pick up my truck even after having had a reservation because the location did not have it avaialable once they said they did. It then took an hour to drop it off. Employees were rude and then tried to charge 27$ for a gallon of gas after I returned it at the level i received it with.

Personnel were very helpful in getting the trailer safely hooked up. This pick up location was not necessarily convenient for me but the people were helpful and interested in making sure i had safely hooked up the trailer.

My comments should not be reflective of Rio Grande Supermarket. My reservation was to pick this unit up a a location near my home (2.3 miles away). They claimed there was an issue with my reservation so as a result, I had to drive 45 minutes, one way to Rio Grande to pickup the Uhaul. This set us behind on time etc ... so not pleased with Uhaul's reservation system!

The actual truck was clean but some reason the back of the truck smelled very bad. I'm not sure where the smell was coming from but if possible I would try to address the issue if I was the owner

Customer service was not good. The Uhaul is located in a food market. The young lady stopped helping me when a customer came to the cash register to cash them out. Then, she had took a phone call that was placed on hold by another associate. I was there 1st and should've been taking care of before either customer. Then I was charged for 1 gallon of gas when we all know that getting the gas to the exact mark is pretty difficult. That should've never been an issue. I was also told that they don't do daily rates or you can't drop the keys in the drop box but when I came back I was charged for a daily rate and they had a drop box in front of the store and it was an option of doing mobile pickup and drop off so I'm confused about that. I could've taken my time instead of rushing with the move. One positive note is that the van was in good shape and clean.

Was told to pick up at 8am when they opened. Got there at 8am, store was open, uhaul wasn't available until 9. Had to leave and go back. We were late for pickup. Should have been made aware of that time issue when I booked it.

Trailer lighting needs to be maintained. I was pulled over for faulty running lights however turn signal and breaking worked. There was also gravel inside the trailer from previous renter.

Remove 5 Star Auto Repair located at 800 E. Jackson st. Joliet, il 60432 from your service. They do not deserve to have the uhaul brand attached to them. They are very unprofessional, rude and very unhelpful. That was supposed to be my pickup to save money on mileage.

I say when someone has a reservation and then you don't have the vehicle at the time of pick-up and they have to reschedule the move i say give that person the same rate they would of had on the day you failed to have the vehicle reserved. We loose a day of work to move then to find out you don't have the vehicle that we reserved and have to reschedule i think it wrong not to give us the milage rate that we had for that day.

You overcharged me. You gave me the wrong size uhaul. You're currently holding money from my bank account because you failed to tell me personally that you changed my drop off location. Will NEVER use uhaul again nor recommend it to anyone. Ever.

OMG. I was promised so many miles and so much for a 2 day rental. A Round trip. Return to same location. When I picked up on Friday night. It too them over an HOUR to figure out my reservation. THEN after returning, about 45 minutes to figure out how to charge me the extra (22.13) for the mileage. Both times had to call corporate! In returning they wanted me to take to another location. Even though my contract said otherwise. NEVER AGAIN U HAUL. ILL TAKE MY BUSINES TO BUDGET or Penske!

I purchased extra fuel in kindness, I brought truck,back a day early, they said I was ten miles over agreement milage and charged extra, I suppose I should have bargained and said no, it was 40 cents a mile for 10 miles, felt taken advantage of, I drove straight from waukesha to Joliet, go figure, nickels and dime , not happy

the associates & owner had a great attitude, but they could not tell me why a 1-way trip is almost triple the price, also he sold me a used ball hitch for the price of a new one, i believe that i was over charged because i was in desperate need of a trailer...

i returned the truck as i received it and the little girl behind the counter proceeded to tell me the back of the truck has some leaves a piece of paper in the back so im going to have to charge you $30 to have it cleaned... so i went back out and picked the 4 leaves and receipt from the rental out of the back and came back inside to show i picked it up... ( seriously $30 for 4 leaves and a piece of paper) WTF.... then she proceeds to tell me that the gas level is 1/56th off from where it was when i took it off the lot so thats a $28 gas fee... SERIOUSLY almost another $30 for $5 worth of missing gas... WOW!!!!! if your seriously going to nit pick for minor things that dont matter like a couple leaves and then try and charge OUTRAGEOUS fees you should not be renting trucks... you wasted my time and your own and just know i myself and everyone i know will never rent from your facility even again!!!

When I made the reservation I had asked for an appliance dolly, when I arrived at the location they did not have the dolly and it took 2 separate trips to 2 locations to get a dolly, I was delayed 2 hours and a major headache.

Reservation was changed 4x. I had movers waiting for me at my house and lost 150 bucks due to 24/7 truck share program fail to me. I'm not happy. Was on hold for over a hour with them and for them to be mean telling me there nothing they can do for me that I have to wait until 9am to get the keys. So from my 7am reservation I waited 2 hours for them to open. Very ignorant. Why have a 24/7 program and not work. I'm out money because of this and would not recommend to no one

Truck was beat to shit, rotars and breaks haven't been changed in years most likely. I drove 17.5 miles per my receipt. I didnt even haul anything, used it to pass a driving test. Some how I had to put 15$ in gas to get it back to where it was. No way I used that much gas. You guys owe me 8$ . I should get a credit next time I rent.

local people were ok. the problem is your corporate office management and your computer system. i rented from you on the 3/4 of October and today is the 9th and your office is still hassling me for accounting mistakes they made in there calculation. they can't figure out how they over charged me sixty four dollars when i only owed them two dollars. i will never rent from u-haul again.
