The inside of the vehicle was quite smelly and there's not really a good place to park a car while using the UHaul. Also, I ordered a dolly and there was none on location - they suggested I check with another UHaul location that didn't have one either.

Reserved the truck for 7am with 24/7 pickup. When we went to check in the morning of it said we couldn't get the truck until they opened until 8. Therefore, we lost an hour of time.

Every time I called the 1-800 number the system would hang up on me. So I could never get through. But overall the employees at each location was courteous and helpful.

My experience here at this Baton Rouge location was fabulous. The Valero clerk, Michelle, who also runs the Uhaul, checked me in at pickup, and checked me out two days later. She did an excellent job and was great at multi-tasking. Everything went well, except for the fact that when I called the Uhaul customer service number to extend the rental (and then tried to live chat) I literally could never get a human. After following prompts the number would just say call back later and then hung up on me. No live chat partner that I'm aware of, ever answered my message, either. Thank God it wasn't an emergency and that we managed to work like dogs to somehow get it done before the original deadline. Thanks U Haul for a great rental but please check and see if enough live staff are available after 5 when customers might need help and are on their own. Overall, will rent again!

Was told at location that trailer could be returned at ANY location. But when I tried to return the trailer at another UHAUL location (over an hour and a half away), I was told that I would be charged $180 dollars on top of the $85 that I had already paid for the reservation and use of the trailer. Why? I was told on the wrong information on the phone and essentially was forced to drive another 1 hour and 45 minutes back to the original location. After packing and trying to move out of my apartment all day, I thought that it was pretty inconsiderate of the retailer to tell us that we could return the rental at any location when actually that wasn't the case. Upon finally returning to the retailer to drop the the trailer off, I parked the trailer in the original spot that I had found the trailer a day prior. I was then told by the retailer, that i needed to move the trailer once again or I would be charged for taking up two parking spots. I don't know if that was some kind of joke to him, but by this time I had no patience for anymore foolishness. I moved the trailer into the position that this man desired and then left as quickly as I could. I then headed back another 1 hour and 45 minutes back to my original location. This ENTIRE process was very painstaking and very inconvenient. I don't want believe that this is a true representation of U-HAUL as a whole, but more of a showing of how poor this independent branch is. I will not be recommending this location to anyone and honestly this has really given me a really negative outlook on U-HAUL as a whole.

Friendly and professional service. The van was available when I got there, and full of gas. For some reason I had trouble signing in to my account but the gentleman helped me with getting the keys with no problem. He was very friendly. I had to problem with checking it back in, again the young lady was very friendly. I wasn't charged over or for anything I didn't ask for. Anytime I need a uhaul I will be going back here. Definitely recommend this location.

We returned the trailer in the same condition it was picked up in. There was a beer cap on the floor from the previous renter that we removed. We even used our own blankets on the floor! But we were charged $16.50 for cleaning. Bogus charge!
