Make online booking easier I misunderstood that it was a request to rent a unit and it kept trying to book me a unit in red deer. Once I went to local rental shop I was then explained how it was just a hold or request to rent.Patrick B.
Rental place was not open and couldn't get hold of anyone to pick up our truck.had to contact head office in Edmonton and they contacted the manager to open up to help us out. Apparently the worker left for the day . Waited for 1 1/2 hrsKrista H.

I phoned all three locations upon arriving in Lloydminster . None indicated they had me on file for a return. I waited until Monday and again was directed to one location by the main number in my contract, upon arrival the uhaul did not have my reservation and I was directed to yet another location on the other side of town. Here I was finally able to drop off the trailer . Overall from pickup to drop off the experience was poor and there was zero accountability to the booking or my return . The experience was less than ideal.Jeremy T.
After I booked a uhaul truck, I got an email confirmation with a pick up address, and soon after, a text message confirmation with an address. I didnt look at the addresses so I didnt realize it was 2 different addresses until I showed up at the wrong one, which was on the total opposite side of the city that I had just came from. So I wasted a good 45 minutes. Not super terrible but I had travelled 7 hours already that day, and was exhausted. A little unorganized but clean and easy to drive.Lindsey L.

Pick up location staff & equipment was perfect. I have a problem with U-Haul Sales division (Head Office Sales) The way they handled our Auto-Transport rental was rude and unbecoming. Showing it as available in Lloydminster no problems, then canceling it on us the day before our rental without so much as a call! Because of this we had to leave our SUV in Lloydminster, costing us 8 hours In driving and $200 in fuel. Extremely upset about that as if we had known in advance we could've had family help us out. I'm not sure if I will ever use or recommend U-Haul ever again due to this. I will be posting this review to google, as well as any other platform U-Haul operates on, unless I am contacted. Please let people know if there is an expected shortage of equipment. Complete gongs show. Had a 2.5 hr drive to p/u . Extra miles is nice but this with a gas card would be mountains better. Total crap that I had to fork out hundreds of dollars in fuel for 2 vehicles to p/u.James P.

There was quite a bit of frustration with your Point of Sale system - they had a specific name for the website - can't recall what it was but it did not work very well at all. It took me 30 to 45 minutes to check in - Nothing to do with the personnel at the pickup location. Please note that there are google reviews for this pickup location indicating the same issue/frustration.Sasha A.

When I was doing paperwork at pick up location, girl didnt really know what she was doing. 1. Got me to sign that gas fuel was where it was. It was not. However, I did not take a pic so its my word against hers. It was at 1/2 tank at best!!! 2. Truck cab was so dirty, coffee dried and spilled everywhere. Was not clean at all. 3. Uhaul rep actually said: oh man, I would never rent from uhaul, I have heard horror stories about people's experiences renting these trucks. 4. Actually told me: I dont think I have ever checked a truck when it comes back. IE: for cleanliness, damage, fuel etc.... I couldnt believe she was telling me this stuff. I have used Uhaul many times but after this I will not. And I will not recommend. Ever. The fuel thing is the most frustrating. I feel I got ripped off. But my bad, I didnt take a pic. It would be nice to get discounted somehow. Please I would like a response.Wendy F.

We had rented a 20ft truck and I confirmed pickup for 12 noon on November 1st, as that was the day we had to move out of our apartment. We arrived at noon to pick up the truck but it had not yet been returned from the previous customer who was scheduled to bring it back at 10am. We waited nearly 4hrs for the truck to arrive and we paid the $100 and carried on to moving, scheduled to bring the truck back at 1pm November 2nd to the same location. While paying I had asked if the refund of money would need to be put on the same card or if cash was able to be given in return (my mom paid for the truck while she was in town but wouldn't be in town the following day when we had to return it) and I was told it could beBreanna L.

The equipment was not ready. Ended up having to pay for a electrical connector to connect to my truck because they sent it where the four wire connector and told me that it was at 7. They did a quick light check and forgot to check the running lights I got halfway down the highway to Saskatoon and had to pull over for the night cuz I had no lights. Also I was not informed about how all the straps work and just use the wheel tie downs did not know that they were safety chains that connected from the frame of the trailer to the vehicle in tow.Jacob P.
