I made a reservation on 7/5/2026 at this location in in person for a 8:00am pickup. I down loaded the U-Haul app checked tthe app on thursday only to notice my pickup location had changed to a U-Haul dealership which was 3 miles driving distance out of my way. i checked the app again Friday evening the day before my move to notice this dealership opens at 10:00am, I had movers scheduled for 8:30am. I had to go to my reservation location at 7:00am to see if i could get this solved, fortunately i was second in line & to her credit the woman who service me canceled my original reservation set me with a new one fortunately they had a truck avaiiable. The women who serviced me was patience & professional & deserves credit for helping me even though she was by herself & the line was out the door. This happen only because U-Haul changed my pickup location without my permission , this is a policy U-Haul should change.

Actually have the truck I reserved over a week ago. I have suffered from your issue with overbooking twice in the last week. The first guy was so nasty and unprofessional and didn't do anything to help me. The lady at the Bardstown Rd. location was very polite but only helped me locate a truck after a lot of back and forth.

Extremely short staffed. Waited almost 45 minutes or longer in line to be seen both at pick up and drop off. One girl at the register, line almost out the door. The van was in great shape but has cigarette ashes behind the steering wheel that I spoke with someone about at drop so they knew it wasn’t me.

I attempted a mobile pickup. The employee running things said aloud that "Mobile pick-up doesn't work anyways, they're just trying to jump the line". So I proceeded to wait 45 minutes in line while she tried to find me a replacement vehicle because they were overbooked on 20'. When she finally entered my reservation information she was surprised to see that the truck had already been dispatched. They had pulled it up when I finished my mobile pickup but never called out to anyone. I'd recommend a review of this place.

I will probably never rent from you again. Check engine light on. Poor response when I told them about it. Wrong mileage on contract. They did not "go over" the truck before I drove away. Did not check truck and mileage when I returned.

More staffing needed. There was clearly a large influx of people near the time of my pickup which the amount of staff was insufficient for. I arrived for my 8am pickup at 8:03am but didn't have my truck until around 8:45am; I was in line for most of that time. From the interactions ahead of me it seemed most customers also had reserved trucks, which if they are ahead of time reservation should be accounted for in staff quantity. As well the signage should be adjusted for drop off. The drop off point indicated I should wait in my vehicle for an employee, I was 2 trucks behind the front and did see an employee taking in that truck. But after about 10 minutes or so I instead went to the app for drop off instruction but as it wasn't working I clicked the 'not working' (can't recall exact wording) button and it just said to drop the keys and go. The vehicle worked great, no issues there, booking and such was initially straight forward. The wait at the location and unclear instructions were the detriment (mostly the wait at pickup as when you have 5-8 people helping move everyone's time adds up).

Ensure you have enough personnel to process turn-ins on busy days (e.g., Saturday afternoon). The line of driverless vehicles extended all the way to the road. This particular vehicle was quite possibly the best U-Haul truck I had ever used. Clean, drove well, not beat up.

I got the truck dirty, with the cab smelling heavily of smoke, and the back having some trash. There were mechanical issues with the vehicle (pulley squealing, A/C intermittently not blowing cold air or any air, and the volts gauge dropping below ~12-13 volts while running). The worst part is that when the vehicle was returned, the gas gauge showed almost full at 15/16, but the employee who checked it in marked it at 1/2. I didn't take a picture of the gauge since it was checked in during normal hours and felt that I could trust the employee, but I was obviously wrong. This company used to stand for DIY moves on a budget with integrity and values, but that's been thrown out the window in the chase for the next quarterly earnings report showing profit. If (and that's a big if) I ever rent anything from Uhaul again, it will be a trailer, since they don't have gas gauges for employees to lie about.

There is one person checking out vehicles and she is totally overwhelmed. She is polite and trying her best but it is too much for just one person. Her support staff outside do not help her well. She will quit soon because no one can do all that she is trying to do and keep customers happy. The truck was great, the experience of getting the truck out and in was hard.

Everyone in the store waited for over an hour just to speak with an associate. There was only one associate working the front desk and she left for 30 mins at a time. This is not an exaggeration as UHaul requires that you bring back your equipment by a certain time. I arrived 20mins before my scheduled return and I was there for over an hour just return keys. The young lady working was polite however there obviously needs some serious attention paid to hiring. This is my second time with this experience.

The younger black and white women that were working today were phenomenal in their customer service and pacing, however, an issue arose where I needed to pay cash as my card would not be accepted. I was told by the younger white woman that I could pay cash but only through the manager. So, I waited almost 30 minutes in the hottest building, dripping sweat, just to be told that they don’t accept cash for the vehicle I wanted to rent. Management obviously isn’t training their staff well or the younger woman wouldn’t have had me wait for so long just to leave empty handed. I eventually placed a reservation through the app and when I showed up the younger black woman was eager to help pull the van around and made sure we were all set with a smile on her face!!

Well to begin with, this location was under staffed. Only one person there at 10 am to check people in. (But she was great!). Secondly, the trailer I reserved was not available so I had to get a smaller version which was almost TOO small. Finally, the location had no AC. It was hot and smelly.

Uhaul towed the trailer after it was involved in an accident. On the 29th the store modified my contract and charged to say it was returned on the 29th me over twice the rental cost because it was towed by a Uhaul contracted tow company. This is with the included insurance. The trailer was picked up and towed back on the 23rd. I was supposed to receive a call back from the GM on Thursday after we spoke. That call back never happened. I will have to dispute the charge with the credit card company because I was billed more than the contracted price. This is after having a flat tire and having the trailer disconnect from my truck during transit. It’s been a painful experience.

I was 2 hours and 5 minutes late due to a delayed flight and my reservation was cancelled. After I begged for something, I was told I could go to another store later in the afternoon. Then, somehow, a truck became available at the original location - 7 hours after I needed it. All of this required me to spend an additional $40 in taxi fair shuttling back and forth, and lose an afternoon of work.

The inside check in was too slow. I had everything filled out online, but the app was having me complete the same info again which is why I went inside. The guy behind me just left a hitch and other stuff he was buying (not renting) where he was standing in line as I saw it when returning the U Haul the next day. I went out and used the app to return it and it was very good. I was not going to go through the inside wait again.

Upon returning the equipment, have someway to notify staff members rather than them just having to watch for returns. One of those bell ringing on the ground thingies or an outside camera with an indoor alert. It was not a really big deal, but I had to finally leave the van to go inside and let a worker know I was there, along with someone who pulled in behind me. I waited 20 minutes, he waited 10 before I went inside. The employee apologized and was very kind. This is not really a complaint, just more of a suggestion!

We had a great experience at this U-Haul location. The girl who helped us when we arrived was very friendly, personable, and had our truck and trailer ready to go when we got there. I wish I could remember her name because she was wonderful. The location was very clean, organized, and easy to navigate. When we returned the truck and trailer, the girl who checked us in was also very friendly and made the process seamless. Overall, everything went smoothly from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this location and would come here again.

The gate has been broken for several months the storage units are full of mice and rats there is mice and rat poop on everything I own there were several times I had to walk around large uhaul trucks because they were parked in front of my unit blocking entry. I moved out the end of May 2026 gave a 30 day notice via phone call and they said they removed me out of the system and they did not they tried to again bill me for June I again had to call they put my move out date as June 4 2026 and it was a month before it’s a mess I do not recommend this storage facility to anyone and mind you I paid every month on time never late I cleaned that it I out when I left spotless this angers me

PLEASE NOTE: I moved into unit #158 instead of unit #162. When we arrived at the location, we noticed that unit #162 was blocked, along other units in a row. The door was up on unit #158 so we unloaded in that unit instead. We were in a rush because it had began to rain. Once we finished with the move-in and pulled the door down I noticed that this was not the assigned unit. Please change my file to #158 instead. Thanks

The only issue is having the rental trucks parked in front of the storage lockers and having to wait on someone to move them so you can get in your storage. Also people blocking the gate to get in and out of the storage unit.

2 times we went to unload our truck and both times we were blocked in and couldn't get the truck out. Cause the people returning trucks pulled straight in and locked trucks couldn't be moved. So that delayed us 2 nights of getting our stuff moved in which pushed our moving days up. Which intelled charged us more extra days of moving. That's the only thing I had to complain about other than that the people were nice the storage is nice just the fact that it was our fault I guess but just letting y'all know

My only issue was that I could never access my unit after business hours because it was always blocked by a truck. Even when I visited during business hours, it would sometimes take up to an hour to have someone move the truck blocking my unit so that I could access it. Towards the end of my stay, the phone lines to the office became rerouted to the automated system so it became even more difficult to get ahold of someone to move a truck. I planned on keeping my unit longer, but I couldn’t keep being unable to access it at convenience like I could at other locations.

They gave me a complimentary lock. That was amazing. Only problem I had was my storage has a hole in the side at the bottom. The office was closed when I scheduled to move in so I wasn’t able to talk to anyone about it. It’s pretty big and needs to be patched so that my things don’t get water damaged. Office staff was gorgeous and very helpful, they need a raise!

I had 24 hour access and on sevearl occausions i had to load my trailer on the side of the highway due to all of the uhaul trucks blocking the gate. that was a real inconvience due to my time being money.

The manager sold a faulty lock but did not give a refund when replaced. He called and said a month was paid already, then charged a late fee when it wasn't paid. I asked him repeatedly to have his manager call, but no one ever did. One day when they were short staffed, I waited in line nearly an hour for help.

When dealing with the people at this location it was TERRIBLE. Day one arriving to Kentucky I was treated so disrespectful I was shocked by the way I was being treated. I also only had 30 days for a free unit . I had to reach out to the 800 number as no one wanted to pick up my call . I sent several emails . No complaints, I was offered a free month of storage after a truck rental and that's what I got, no hidden fees, no gimmicks. Staff was straightforward and efficient, as was the entire process. Online move-out made the process painless. Couldn't be more satisfied and will use this location for any future needs even if it's not the closest.

We vacated our storage unit 8 days before the end of the paid month and told the staff. Still, we continued to receive emails demanding payment for the following month and threatening liens and other procedures if we didn't pay up. It wasn't until we went back and visited in person, again, that the situation got resolved. You need better communication and execution among the staff for situations like ours.

Terribke location. Never going to use for storage ever again. Uhaul never vacated me after spending 4 weeks basically calling them and being placed on hold. I can assure you if i have a balance on my record i will be contacting a lawyer because no one at that facility gives a hoot. No security gates stay open and they dont check the lot otherwise they would have seen an empty unit that i left them prior to my due date.

My original reservation was cancelled because they had no trucks. Rescheduled me and had to stand in a 2 1/2 hr line because they had no trucks. Luckily by that time somebody returned a truck. Still had to find the keys before I got to rent it. I was in line longer than I had the truck. Terrible experience. The Gm was the only person working in the store. The guys ours where new.

Every time I went in to make a payment on my storage unit, I waited at least 30 minutes to an hour every time. I waited so long once that the person behind the counter promised he would credit my account $25. But then he had “computer issues” and said that he would credit my card the next day. That credit never came. I mentioned it to someone the next month, and they said they would take care of it, but they didn’t. I gave up trying to get it back. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I’ll never do it again.

Service was great. Location was convenient. It was a lot more then I could afford for a month to month storage but I only needed it for a month to assist in the move. So it was about convence for me.

A little too expensive for a small space. But moving out the items and cancelling payment was pretty painless. Would recommend if money isn't really an issue

Would have liked to be able to access my unit whenever I wanted instead of during business hours. Other than that, I found my time with U-haul to be satisfactory.
