We did cross country move and first moving place we had selected did not tell the truth about 18 wheeler huge atlas van lines fitting on property. They drove by your place on sweeten....it was a great alternative. Probably better and safer then the original choice. Overall, the staff were polite however the manager did not open their business until an hour after operation hours. I waited 45 minutes (9:00 am- 10:45am). I feel sorry for the work staff that showed up on time and had to deal with pissed off customers, and didn't get to clock in on time because of the store manager. My overall experience with Uhaul was horrible!! Nearly impossible to get through on the phone, my Uboxes were picked up two days late from the house I was selling which endangered my closing. They were delivered a day late to my new home. Then I was charged for storage AFTER being promised a first free month of storage and AFTER my boxes were delivered! Communication is non-existent. The people working at this particular site are trying, but it's a mess. This company needs to vastly improve their communication system and their service!! I have rented a truck almost monthly. This truck drove horribly. Bad tires, weird noises, overall the worst driving experience with any uhaul truck. This truck should not be for rent without being tuned up. Also gas tank was half full and I filled it up prior to returning it. If I get charged for returning the truck with less gas, I should be credited for returning it with twice the gas I got it with. I think I will not be renting from uhaul againcherise A.

First of all, get some employees who have people/customer service skills. I didn't catch his name, but the red headed guy, with glasses, seemed miserable to be there & was rude. I had requested a 3pm pickup, on the truck, but u-haul gave me 4pm & I wasn't able to pick the truck up right away, by then. I was supposed to have the truck for 24 solid hours - I didn't pick it up until 5...I know this bc there was an issue & before I could find the truck in the lot & get back to the office, to address the issue, the lights were out & the door locked. They closed at 6, as my pickup was on a Sunday. Additionally, you need to rethink the measurements on your trucks. The truck I rented was advertised as moving a 2-bedroom apartment. I have standard furniture in a 1-bedroom apartment, plus boxes. I rented a 2-bedroom truck, just in case, & still didn't have NEARLY enough room, just for my major furniture! I had to make arrangements for additional vehicles to transport 2 additional pieces of furniture that wouldn't fit & many of my boxes. Thank goodness I had planned to transport fragile items, like my TV, in my car already! The additional time it took to coordinate loading the remainder of my items caused me to drop the truck off 40mins late & u-haul now wants to say I owe them for a whole extra day! Absolutely ridiculous - & keep in mind, the issue I mentioned previously was with the truck size - I tried to address it immediately, as it looked way too small from the get go. However, the rude red headed guy was curt, told me it was the right truck & continued to lock the door & walk away from me, as it was 5pm. NEVER. AGAIN. I don't know that I will ever be willing to utilize u-haul again, for a move, period...but if you must, please, at least do yourself the favor of picking the truck up at a location that isn't rude & completely dismissive.Heather P.

When we arrived there was no staff around at all. We waited several minutes for someone to come. There was only one person working and there were several people waiting. Would have much rather had another return site considering we spent all day moving and didn't need to spend more time waiting for someone to show up. The last there was great. The female day shift manager remains rude as I have found in the past has a sarcastic answer for everything and appears to enjoy badgering customers, then can try to change mode to be helpful. I have tolerated her behavior because I get the rental I need when other uhaul dealerships are not available. I am wondering if a mental health issue is the problem. Appears to know her job with limited social skills. To bad but the bottom line is the job gets done even though you leave this business feeling worse than when you came in. The manager was friendly and efficient. When I returned my rental van there was a long line of customers. The manager stayed calm, communicated regularly with those waiting, and called in an employee for assistance. She handled what could have been a difficult situation beautifully! I also had a trailer hitch installed and the technician did a great job. It took longer than anticipated but he took his time to get it right which I really appreciate. Uhaul failed to inform me that they did not have a truck for me until 7:45 pm the night before I was supposed to move. Had they informed me earlier in the day I would have been able to go with another company. I was not able to do anything since it was after hours. Uhaul was able to secure a truck for me much later in the day on my move day but changed my pick up location without telling me. So I had to reroute myself on the way to pick the truck up. There was nobody in line when I walked in and the staff did not greet me. The two ladies were talking about personal matters and one was on her cell phone. Both blatantly ignored me until I said something. The lady with the cell phone held me and was very helpful once she got started but made a poor first impression. Uhaul is a joke and I will NEVER EVER use them again or recommend them to anyone. EVER. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else.Graham D.

I changed my return reservation to this location due to the friendliness of the staff and how the facility appeared while researching online compared to other facilities. When dealing with staff at my pick up location, it was a horrible experience and if I hadn't needed to use their service, I would have walked out and I have rented from uhual SEVERAL times in the past. The truck had issues and had a gas issue. It cost me over $1,100 in gas to drive 3200 miles in a 20ft truck which is completely unheard of. I have made this trip several times and NEVER had the issues I had this time. Pick up staff didn't care about the truck and it's gas (and break) issues and hung up on me. The staff here, though they couldn't do anything to change what happened on the west coast, were very sincere and very kind. Their storage units are clean and climate controlled and VERY secure. The cost per storage room is extremely high. The cost of the unit should include basic insurance coverage, it is unreasonable to require additional insurance be purchased.
