The two men helping us were so nice. They explained everything. I wish I could remember their names. This is the place I would want to pick up a trailer from now on. The McKinley Ave guy was such a jerk last year. I would rather pick up in downtown South Bend anytime.SHERICE P.
This dropoff location is in a VERY seedy part of town. The address took us to a parking lot with no office (there was a barred up convenience store with 2 very shady guys hanging out outside of it - who were still there when we left over 20 min later), but there were Uhaul trailers parked there. I saw another parking lot across the street with Uhauls in it, so went over there to see if that was the actual dropoff location. There wasn't a USA Express sign anywhere and the building address was not the same as the one on the contract, but there was a man there who said his name was Chuck, and he appeared to be cleaning out another Uhaul truck. I asked him if it was the dropoff parking lot for USA Express, and he said yes - but the owner had not opened the store that day for Father's Day. Nowhere on my contract did it say the store would be closed. I followed the online dropoff protocals and dropped the key off in the drop box. When I finished the online dropoff, a note came up saying there would be a $40 charge (I'm assuming for a late dropoff? But my contract said it was due back on that day, and online it said the store didn't open until 10AM - which was when the truck was due back by). I was prompted by the site to accept or reject the charges - so I rejected them and wrote a note stating that it was back on the due date. Honestly, I don't understand why they would charge a late fee even if I dropped the truck off at 11pm (which I didn't, I got there shortly after 10am) since the store was closed anyway?? I left the location feeling worried that the truck was possibly at the wrong dropoff location, and worried that I would be charged extraneous fees. All-in-all it was a very stressful experience. I would never rent/dropoff at this location again.April K.

I rented trailer on Saturday, the trailer was brought back Saturday at 6pm. At the time of the pick up,I was told if I dropped it off that evening to put it at the lot by the trucks There was nothing said about a $20 charge for after hours On Monday was notified I was charged for 2 days The people at this location are very unprofessional and unformative, won't rent here againDennis H.

The office space is cluttered with junk, the person helping me was bleeding on his arm, was yelling at the person that worked for him and lastly took phone calls while we were discussing what I needed to rent. Also, when picking up an item at the end of there day that even if I returned it at 8 am the next day that I get charged for 2 days. Wrong!!DOUGLAS M.
The pickup site is a pig sty. It is FULL of junk. They could not find the password to the computers, so I had to wait. I wanted to buy boxes and they could not figure out how to do that. One of the employees reeked of cigarettes and the vehicle smelled like smoke and I had to lower the windows for miles to get the smell out.Lester D.

It took me two (2) hours to rent a trailer! The owner of the location seemed extremely unfamiliar with the computer system. He didn't seem able to type very well, and when I reviewed the rental agreement he had entered my destination location as a single word (including the abbreviation ct) with multiple misspellings. Beyond this, he was unable to look up the boxes that I had pre-paid for online. When I asked to just pay for them again he sent me across the street to run my credit card in his wife's store because he would only take cash for the boxes. This despite the fact I used my credit card to pay for the trailer. I ended up just going across town to buy boxes at home depot. I had to cancel my online box order with U-haul. One of the wildest commercial experiences I have had in my life. It was funny at the time, but I would never ever return.Abraham L.

I turned the truck in with over 5/8 of a tank of gas closer to 3/4 tank it had 5/8 of a tank when I rented it. You unnecessarily charged me for 32 dollars of fuel unless you refund the money I will call the corporate office and lodge a formal complaint this is totally unethical. This was pretty terrible. Location was switched from my preferred location to a location that was not supposed to be open when I needed to pick up. They made an exception and met me there at the time I needed but could not process my rental when I arrived. I ended up having to use express checkin on my phone to process the rental. I didn't receive a contract and realized that could have resulted in some serious problems. The location is at best a little shady as well.James W.

The drop off location was closed at 330 pm!! I struggled for an hour trying to get trailer off hitch. I had to wait for a passerby to assist me. I'm a plenty strong guy so it was not a one man lift. You should provide a jack on all trailers to avoide this problem. It was a joke how heavy it was. Won't rent a trailer again!gerard S.
