Location was fine. It was just a mess and a whole lot of confusion trying to book a truck. Very incompetent. Emails we wrong, received email reservations was cancelled when it wasn't. Told me to pick up truck at wrong location. Just really messed up. Online is a joke as you are not really booking anything not even reserving anything you have to wait till they call back the next day and by then your reservation is gone because someone else took it. Just make the phone call and actually speak to someone and reserve it. Do not use online bookingTom P.

I was surprised to find out after arriving at the pick up location that they may require a photo of my passport, or a phone call to my employer, etc.... It turns out it didn't matter in the end but something to be prepared for. Otherwise it was very easy to rent and the equipment was in excellent shape. Will use the service again.James P.

Long waiting time, owner was not present on the location. They said the tank was full but its was not, thank god i clicked the picture before driving, because when i came back she said its not full then i have to show the picture then she agree. Otherwise she was asking me to go back to gas station and fill the truck. Overall bad experience with the customer service.AMARVIR S.

Too far from my location. Truck was not clean and wBack was padlocked (which we did not discover until arriving at our destination). This move was time sensitive and it took half an hour plus for someone to find out the combination for the lock and call me back.JONATHAN V.
Cracked windshield. Cracked instrument panel screen. These were minor issues compared to the following. After driving a kilometre or two, the "Service Stabilitrack" warning message came on and "Electric Stability Control" warning light came on. I did drive to my son's house where we had planned to meet and load the truck. However, the roads were icy and I felt the vehicle was not safe to drive. I was not about to risk the safety of myself, my son, his possessions. or the vehicle. I returned it early and showed the picture of the instrument panel to the store owner, taken less than 5 minutes before the truck was returned, showing the warning message of "Service Stabilitrack". I was still charged full price. I should have argued then and there but sadly, that is not my style. I will never recommend that UHaul location. This was a very disappointing experience all around. Although I have used UHaul several times before over the past 30 years, I may look for alternatives in the future.Brenda F.

Location on Elizabeth is a rip off I took u haul for 2 hours they charged me 78 dollars. I called them they said I won't over milage. I called custome service they said ur allowed 30 miles u drove 12 miles u never went over milage. Unfortunately these guys ate ripping ppl off especially this location on Elizabeth are total thieves. There just here in Canada to rip us off . Do not get a.u haul from them. They.pretend they can't speak English but they surely know how to charge ppls credit cards. Today after 4 days they charged my card again for 88 dollars . For using 2 hours of u haul I got charged 78+88 dollars.KALTHOUM K.

I got a call from Cheryl who told me that my booking required me to drive to another province 2 hours away to get the vehicle instead of in the same city I was living in. She was rude and insisted this is what all customers had to do. I explained to her that COVID restrictions don't allow cross border travel and she insisted that's what I had to do. Eventually she told me that I could get a smaller vehicle in the same city I originally made a reservation.ENVER N.

Truck had faulty ramp, wasted 20 minutes of movers we hired (by the hour) time trying to get it back into place, ultimately had to bring ramp in different vehicle because it would not go back. Female staff at return location was verbally abusive, yelling at us inside and outside the store in front of people because we made an error in dropping keys off in a box that clearly read "24/7 key drop box". Called customer service on the way home and already have a case file open with a complaint and request for financial reimbursement. Really unhappy with entire situationLauren M.

The staff were excellent in terms of friendly. I had ordered 2 dozen blankets and ended up with 19? No walk thru of the vehicle because I assume I had the Safecare coverage so I just left. During COVID I was surprised that the vehicle was not clean? It had a toilet paper role in the dash near the window. There were someone's pills in the vehicle and the floors were very dirty! I would like compensation or credit because in renting before the vehicle was always clean. I would not recommend U Haul at this time.James H.

I originally ordered 36 furniture pads. When I was picking up the truck they said they only had 12. I took their word for it when I saw a bag of pads assuming they were there. When I started moving I realized there was only 4 pads. I was counting on those pads but didn't have time to deal with the lack of them since time was a huge constraint. Give us a ramp that works and doesn't fall out and then not allow us to use it or beable to put it back in. Have the equipment available that we booked quite far in advanced and don't make us go to another location. Don't argue with us about how much gas we put in when we did fill it up to where was required. The gas gauge in the vehicle has only 3 lines on it. The graph they use has 16. How can you say with certainty that we did not fill it up enough when you are comparing 3 lines to 16? Poor customer service.Keith M.

The owner should read the agreement carefully on when the U-Haul vehicle is to be returned. It specifically stated that it is to be returned before noon time but the owner called me at 9:00 AM if I can return it as soon as possible.VINCENT C.
The pick up location was great, and the owner was very nice and helpful. There were a few problems with the U-Haul though. The window on the driver's side window would not close, which made things pretty noisy during the drive. The stereo in the vehicle did not work, which is a bit of a downer on a long trip. The console was a little dirty, and there was a hoodie left in the vehicle from a previous customer.Wayne F.

Wiring for tail lights not fastened properly and got caught in door rollers when closing. Had a hard time to free wires and had to keep pushing them in when putting door up and down.Tom D.
When I made my booking, it was saying I could do self-serve mobile pickup outside of the business's hours. But upon arriving at the location, I suddenly discovered that I had to wait for the store to open to pickup in person. This is unacceptable as it can severely derail moving plans and schedules.Eric S.

Location supplied an appliance dolly when a utility dolly was requested, an appliance dolly is completely useless for moving boxes. It was a waste of $10 and they said they weren't able to discount us for the mistake. Very disappointed about that.David N.

There was a miscommunication about what type of uhaul truck I wanted that I put on reservation two weeks in advance. The day of the reservation I got a call From the convenience store saying it was not possible to get a vehicle. So I had to discuss with a manager from an actual uhaul company in order to get my reservation but for a day shorter than I wanted. I was charged for an extra day even though I brought it back on time. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handle from the convenience store side and also management side of uhaul. The service was AWFUL!! The husband and wife who rent out the services for Uhaul, the lady has the most awful customer service skills I have ever dealt with. The lady fought and fought with us, at the top of her lungs in the store!! Yelling over and over again, that we didn't put enough gas in the vehicle where we put EXACTLY what was given to us in the vehicle. Upon taking the vehicle out, The husband who was very polite, didn't do a walk through with us to see the gas line and mileage to begin with. The gas line was incorrectly marked on the sheet given to us which suckered us into paying $10 more for gas then we should have. The furniture dolly didn't have anything to pull it with. All in all, I had a horrid Uhaul experience and I will do everything in my power not to use it again. ESPECIALLY from that location.Nikishia P.

When I picked up the trailer, the previous user had broken the wiring harness so the right signal light didn't work. They went and picked up a new wiring harness and brought it to my house. I felt they went above and beyond. Great service and easy pick up and drop off.Dean P.
