Truck was really dirty inside the back and the cab. Blankets and dolly were not zip tied. Small filthy carpet was left in the back. My belongings got dirty as I did not plan on sweeping out the whole truck.TREVOR O.

I got a call from Cheryl who told me that my booking required me to drive to another province 2 hours away to get the vehicle instead of in the same city I was living in. She was rude and insisted this is what all customers had to do. I explained to her that COVID restrictions don't allow cross border travel and she insisted that's what I had to do. Eventually she told me that I could get a smaller vehicle in the same city I originally made a reservation.ENVER N.

Truck had faulty ramp, wasted 20 minutes of movers we hired (by the hour) time trying to get it back into place, ultimately had to bring ramp in different vehicle because it would not go back. Female staff at return location was verbally abusive, yelling at us inside and outside the store in front of people because we made an error in dropping keys off in a box that clearly read "24/7 key drop box". Called customer service on the way home and already have a case file open with a complaint and request for financial reimbursement. Really unhappy with entire situationLauren M.

The staff were excellent in terms of friendly. I had ordered 2 dozen blankets and ended up with 19? No walk thru of the vehicle because I assume I had the Safecare coverage so I just left. During COVID I was surprised that the vehicle was not clean? It had a toilet paper role in the dash near the window. There were someone's pills in the vehicle and the floors were very dirty! I would like compensation or credit because in renting before the vehicle was always clean. I would not recommend U Haul at this time.James H.

I originally ordered 36 furniture pads. When I was picking up the truck they said they only had 12. I took their word for it when I saw a bag of pads assuming they were there. When I started moving I realized there was only 4 pads. I was counting on those pads but didn't have time to deal with the lack of them since time was a huge constraint. Give us a ramp that works and doesn't fall out and then not allow us to use it or beable to put it back in. Have the equipment available that we booked quite far in advanced and don't make us go to another location. Don't argue with us about how much gas we put in when we did fill it up to where was required. The gas gauge in the vehicle has only 3 lines on it. The graph they use has 16. How can you say with certainty that we did not fill it up enough when you are comparing 3 lines to 16? Poor customer service.Keith M.

The owner should read the agreement carefully on when the U-Haul vehicle is to be returned. It specifically stated that it is to be returned before noon time but the owner called me at 9:00 AM if I can return it as soon as possible.VINCENT C.
The pick up location was great, and the owner was very nice and helpful. There were a few problems with the U-Haul though. The window on the driver's side window would not close, which made things pretty noisy during the drive. The stereo in the vehicle did not work, which is a bit of a downer on a long trip. The console was a little dirty, and there was a hoodie left in the vehicle from a previous customer.Wayne F.

Wiring for tail lights not fastened properly and got caught in door rollers when closing. Had a hard time to free wires and had to keep pushing them in when putting door up and down.Tom D.
When I made my booking, it was saying I could do self-serve mobile pickup outside of the business's hours. But upon arriving at the location, I suddenly discovered that I had to wait for the store to open to pickup in person. This is unacceptable as it can severely derail moving plans and schedules.Eric S.

Location supplied an appliance dolly when a utility dolly was requested, an appliance dolly is completely useless for moving boxes. It was a waste of $10 and they said they weren't able to discount us for the mistake. Very disappointed about that.David N.

There was a miscommunication about what type of uhaul truck I wanted that I put on reservation two weeks in advance. The day of the reservation I got a call From the convenience store saying it was not possible to get a vehicle. So I had to discuss with a manager from an actual uhaul company in order to get my reservation but for a day shorter than I wanted. I was charged for an extra day even though I brought it back on time. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handle from the convenience store side and also management side of uhaul. The service was AWFUL!! The husband and wife who rent out the services for Uhaul, the lady has the most awful customer service skills I have ever dealt with. The lady fought and fought with us, at the top of her lungs in the store!! Yelling over and over again, that we didn't put enough gas in the vehicle where we put EXACTLY what was given to us in the vehicle. Upon taking the vehicle out, The husband who was very polite, didn't do a walk through with us to see the gas line and mileage to begin with. The gas line was incorrectly marked on the sheet given to us which suckered us into paying $10 more for gas then we should have. The furniture dolly didn't have anything to pull it with. All in all, I had a horrid Uhaul experience and I will do everything in my power not to use it again. ESPECIALLY from that location.Nikishia P.

When I picked up the trailer, the previous user had broken the wiring harness so the right signal light didn't work. They went and picked up a new wiring harness and brought it to my house. I felt they went above and beyond. Great service and easy pick up and drop off.Dean P.

I rented a U-haul truck for moving and it was a total nightmare from beginning to end. We got a huge dumping of snow just prior to rental but I thought it would still be ok. I was wrong. I spent most of my rental time digging out and getting the truck unstuck. I managed to move 1 load (2 couches). It was a huge disappointment. The tires had no grip whatsoever. I would've expected a moving truck to have better tires/traction.Corinne D.

Your company is sooo unorganized!!! I received 5 phone calls changing my original booking. The first call was telling me I couldn't get the 26 â€˜ truck I booked from the Mcphillips street location in Winnipeg, they only had a 20'. The next was from the regent location in Winnipeg saying they didn't have a 20' only a 15. Then a call from Windsor park convenience saying they had a fifteen foot truck for us. So because we had a lot of stuff we decided to book 2 15' trucks. Then we got a call from Another guy not sure which location asking if we had what we needed and I told him the story I am telling you and he said he would make sure that I had the two trucks and would call me back if we didn't. Didn't get a call from him got a call from Winnipeg beach an hour north of Winnipeg.......... so basically a gong show. I got one fifteen foot truck and moved what we could. Not at all impressed, ridiculously disastrous situation and the fellow in front of me at the rental store had a similar experience! I am thinking there is a need for a new program, training or something. I suggest you figure it out before you lose more customers !!Steve F.

The van we rented was not yet returned by the previous person when we arrived. The staff at Windsor Convenience were very helpful in arranging for us to take a bigger truck for the same price.Terence M.
I was absolutely shocked at my end rental fee. I picked it up at 13:30 January 23rd and had it returned on site Friday the 24th at 15:08. Rental rate I was charged 19.95 then rental fee of 39.40. That amount for an hour and a half extra? I was also called up at 915am this morning with a message telling me they need the uhaul back in 45 minutes as someone is picking it up at 10am! I called back and even filled out my form acknowledging before renting it that I'd need the van a bit past my initial 24 hour time. Even at that regular rental it was still my van paid for until 13:30. I covered the fuel I used, bought the extra insurance which is completely acceptable however I am not at all pleased with how much my credit card was charged. If I was told I had been charged for another full day I would have taken it home and brought it back later! I spent 36.00 on a cab ride home as I didn't have family at that time to pick me up. I was trying to be courteous in bringing it back asap and even informed the gentleman when we spoke in the morning when he asked me on the phone when I'd think I'd be done. The lady at the convenience store was exceptionally kind, joyful and considerate. Returning it was very nice. She told me her husband would calculate my total and call me later as she wasn't familiar with it all. All I got was my email with full charges and summaryAnthony P.

It took forever to get the trailer and they asked me the same questions that it asked for online . They didn't come out nor didn't they ask if I knew how to hook it up . The van wasn't there when it was supposed to be. The store people had no clue. Had to wait 45 min, even though I reserved it in advance. The person that eventually brought it back got in my face about it. When I reserved it, it said a $50 guarantee that the van would be there for me, well it wasn't and he wouldn't honour that. The store was crazy busy and there was only one person there. It was a mad house. Would never rent a uhaul from there again.Sabrina D.
When I picked up the car the gas was marked with full, when I took the vehicle the gas was 1/8, but when I was return I put 1/8. The attendant charged me $17 for full gas, when I was asking her, She started to scream with me saying that was my fault.
