The instructions were not very clear related to the scheduled early pick-up, but once I figured out what I needed to do and completed all the tasks, there were no keys left for me in the lock box. This caused us a three hour delay in our move and inconvenienced others who were scheduled to assist in this move. Once I came back to collect the key, there was no acknowledgement of their mistake. And finally, the truck had slightly less than a half a tank of gas in it.

Bill WPick up of 10' truck after hours took over two hours: -after clicking "Pick up" in Uhaul app to begin check in, the app did NOT proceed to the next step -calling the only phone number provided connected me with an employee who works at the location, informing me the office was closed and to call back at 9am the next morning. (I scheduled pick up for 9pm so I had the truck ready to pack at 7am. which obviously did not happen) -because, when I finally got through to Uhaul at their 24/7 phone number, they gave me the code to get the key from the the lockbox and when I opened the box THERE WAS NO KEY IN THE BOX. -they said, not to worry, there is another truck and gave me the code to a second lockbox, which, when I opened it WAS EMPTY--NO TRUCK KEY there either. -had to wait until the next morning to get the truck from an early arriving employee. Made the actual loading and unloading very rushed and pressured those helping with the move. Very bad experience.

Steve CI was confirmed to pick the truck up prior to the shop (McNamara) opening, via mobile app. I got there an hour prior to McNamara opening, and the mobile app did not work. I called U-Haul and they said that this location did not have mobile app service available. ??? This was contrary to the information I got from McNamara when they called the day prior to confirm the service and the mobile app pickup. Unfortunately, I had to wait an hour until McNamara opened in order to pick up the truck. This was a huge inconvenience, and I thought this had all been confirmed, especially with the call from McNamara the day before the pick up. When McNamara opened their shop, they said that the mobile app should have worked. U-Haul and McNamara need to get it together!!!!!! The truck was nice and clean, and otherwise, in good shape, except for the fact that it only had 1/4 tank of gas in it. This was disappointing also since I HAD to fill the tank before starting out on our trip with our furnishings. This was just another unanticipated inconvenience that I did not expect to deal with in renting from U-Haul. Your tanks should ALWAYS be filled to make your customers happy upon pick up!
