The manager, Lorenzo, has no sense of customer service or even how to follow the companies policies or laws. He charged my card without my permission after I explicitly told him I had turned off auto pay because if another payment was needed it would need to be done on a different card. I was 6 days past my bill due date and he didn’t like that I told him I may not be able to empty the unit in time, I had been sharing it with another person and I was told by that person they had removed all of their stuff, they did not, so I did not realize my u it still had stuff in it until Lorenzo called to tell me. so he charged the full amount and late fees anyway. What’s the point in a late fee if he can just take the money whenever he wants??? I escalated all the way up to a regional director and was told they weren’t going to make him reverse the charge even though he made the charge illegally. I disputed it with my bank and they got my money back. After that I had zero desire to interact with Lorenzo or do business with Uhaul any longer. I requested an abandoned unit form, which was never offered to me, a random CSR let me know it was a thing. I had to request it several months in a row, all the while my account accrued more and more late fees. I never received the form. Absolutely most ridiculous customer service experience of my life.
