The uhaul location itself was great! Customer service representatives through text messages need more training! I was told by customer service representative via text chat that I was going to be billed another month because I had my stuff in the unit the day my payment was due. I don't think she fully understood me thinking I was complaining about payment being taken. When that was not what I was inquiring about at all. I don't asked if it was true that I have a 5 day grace period. She informed me that no I do not and if my stuff was still on the unit on due date I would have to pay. I am a busy adult like most of us are! I was at work and she completely stressed me out about my belongings while I was having a hard day at work. Training on empathy and giving the correct information is much needed! I cleared my unit day of due date and told the people that worked at the location what was told to me by customer service rep and they informed me that I did have a 5 day grace period! All of that stress for absolutely nothing. All while working a hectic job after a long process of buying a house. The people at the uhaul location I used where amazing and very helpful. I wish there was a way to talk to them directly instead of a call center!

Many other storage facilities lure you in with a low rate and then you find out that’s not really the price, it was a six month paid in advance OR you get intro price but then keeps escalating. Appreciate very much the transparency.

laura s | First ImpressionsI wanted a 10 x10 x10 unit and when I purchased a lease online, they actually gave me two 5 x 10 x 10 units. I wanted a larger unit to have more maneuverability. It was never indicated at check out that two units would be given instead of one. If I had known this, I would have looked into the other location that is 10min away. The website should tell me it’s splitting me into two units instead of saying that there is still a 10 x 10 x 10 available. The two units were not even in the same row of storage units. Frankly it is extremely inconvenient and I wish I had been given an option or at least notified before I was committed to this set up. I feel duped that I rented one large unit and was given two smaller units instead.
Emily T | Online Move InI think you need to have a longer grace period for people experiencing financial hardships i lost my job and ended up with a severe back injury and couldn't make my payments on time while trying to find another source of employment while also dealing with my back injury then I was told I could pay a small fee but then I'd have 24 hours to remove my stuff and I dont really have friends and my family doesnt live close by so moving my stuff on my own with a back injury wasn't a possibility and then I finally found a job but due to my work schedule i wasn't able to stop into the office and every time they sent me a text update It said I could respond to the text message and I did several times and got no reply back so just took that as they were no longer willing to work with me so now I just lost my unit with all my tools and things I had gotten from my dad and from my grandfather that died a few years back because I basically felt like I had no other options and you guys wouldn't wait for me to get a few paycheck under my belt from my new place of employment and now I keep getting messages to rate my experience which just feels like pouring salt into an open wound like I understand that you guys have a business to run but showing a little bit of grace and compassion to people who are actually trying would go a long way
JENNIFER S | Overall ExperienceI experienced a couple of issues of waiting 45 minutes for help, difficulty accessing my unit twice, on 2 occasions I was able to enter the self storage without scanning my card which I felt was not secure, Live Chat informing me I needed to pay for rent to cancel my contract but I was already paid in full, and Live Chat informing me I can cancel my contract on the app but I was not able to.

There was a lock in there. And the first month's free overwhelmingly good things with them. All the time i've been going to them since they opened every maybe other year.I need a storage unit.They are absolutely fabulous.I love it
