JACKSON F | First ImpressionsI originally reserved the 15 foot truck at the San Francisco U-Haul on Bryant. When I got there the app and the customer service person, who was completely unhelpful, told me I needed to go to Belmont to pick up the truck. Fortunately, it was not very far away, but I did have to Uber another 30 or 40 minutes for an additional charge of $50 in order to pick up the truck and then drive it back which may be late for the movers to help empty the locker.

Bryan H | Overall ExperienceI had an administrative glitch with my storage unit that ended up with me not having access to the building or the unit. I went into the office and got it all fixed but then my new access card didn’t work and the office had closed for the day. I was trying to return the van but it was full of the things I needed to put into storage so I was at a loss for what to do. Luckily the vehicle staff were still there after hours checking in the truck rental returns. The site manager Mr. Brown came to help personally, and he had to go into the office and re-activate my swipe card to get me all set. He and his crew are so nice and helpful, I’m really glad I chose them instead of any of the competitors, even with the administrative glitch. What a king!
Syndi B | First ImpressionsVery bad service and bad attitude from the reception staff. I didn't have patience with everything and I was reluctant. There is no one to guide you in the facilities. They gave you a key, a warehouse code, and you see where you are going. In a few words, very bad, very bad. I was going to file a police report for the mistreatment and very poor customer and consumer service, but I decided not to do it, but in the end, I will not return to those facilities. Bryant St.

Jennifer W | Overall ExperienceI emailed the manager to inform him that I would not be renewing my storage unit. Surprisingly, he didn’t respond to my email. Upon further investigation, I discovered that they were charging me penalties and rent for this month. Before my contract ended, I had lined up, but the line was so long that I decided to email the manager. I sent all the pictures I had taken to show that the unit was empty and clean. After two days of waiting for a response, I returned to the front desk and informed them that I had moved out. I showed her the empty space, and she assured me that everything would be okay. Now, I need to call them again to verify that the unit was emptied and cleaned before they can cancel my contract. Wow! I highly recommend that the manager be rewarded for their excellent job.
Oliver M | Overall ExperienceI made a reservation and when I got there they said my unit was not available and I had to pay $20 more per month to get the same size or smaller. I had just cancelled a public storage storage and lost my deposit because I was able to make this reservation at Uhaul. I had all my things in my van and no one (including the phone line support) offered any kind of help. They told me that I can try a different location or just pay the higher price. I felt cornered and really stressed about the entire situation. It took over 1 hour to find me another unit because the one that I had reserved was taken by someone else on accident. The only person willing to help me was Jonathan Dubon. He went above and beyond to take his time and provide the best service. He didn’t have the ability to give me the same size unit for the same price but he still continued to do his very best to help me. There was also one individual moving box trucks outside that was also extremely kind and considerate. Otherwise I had a very terrible experience that took over 1 hour to get checked in and resulted in a unit that was the exact same size that I reserved but $20 more per month. I would appreciate speaking to the General Manager about this. Thank you. And thank you again to Jonathan for his genuine kindness and willingness to help me without saying “there’s nothing I can do for you. I don’t know what else to say” . He really made an effort and understood the situation I was in. Because everything took so long, I also had trouble returning my rental vehicle in time. It was a very stressful situation all around.

GRACIOUS A | Overall ExperienceThe first staff person who checked me in appeared to be visibly under the influence of some sort of narcotics/tranquilizer. His speech was slurred, he was unable to comprehend basic information (phone numbers, names, etc...), and he assigned me to a storage unit that was literally one-half the size of the one that I had reserved. A second staff person was able to get the unit size remedied, but it added almost an hour to the check-in time.
