Marty is quite the host. His shop is too busy to be fooling with Uhaul but he does it anyway. Friendly and easy to work with.

Yvette PMarty and his assistants were very professional, competent, helpful and friendly. I was especially pleased with how they put my auto Transport trailer on and secured my truck on top of it. It made it a 275 mile journey very safe and secure. However, I think that U-Haul, as a company, might be tying the hands of its dealers in the way that Marty was not offering to hook up my auto transport trailer. I was told that clients usually do that themselves, which was absurd to me! When have I ever hooked up a trailer with brake lights and chains and straps to hold down a two or three ton vehicle to travel 270 miles on the interstate? N”Never” is the answer! I wonder if U-Haul, as a company, is pushing this “have the client do it themselves” policy onto their dealers so that U-Haul and the dealers don’t have any liability. I found it terrible to have paid this kind of money and then be told to hook up a trailer and drive my truck onto it by myself. But, after a bit of discussion, I found out that Marty was willing to do it for me, including driving my truck up the ramp and onto the platform. This was True Service. Then, my pickup truck was strapped down and chained to the Auto Transport in an experienced, professional way that I could have confidence in. This I truly appreciated. I would highly recommend Edgewood Service for this. But, something is wrong with asking a layperson to secure a vehicle onto an auto transport. This is irresponsible, practice in business and society.
