Firstly, our initial reservation was missed due to the mini van not being returned on time, so we had to scramble to find another cargo van. No one thought to let us know that our initial reservation was not going to be fulfilled. Then when we go to the new location, it was all done online and the website was so slow, not working properly and kept making us repeat steps. The vehicle itself was clean(ish), but the whole process is confusing. The cargo van isn't branded with a U-Haul logo or anything, so it's misleading when you arrive there and there's nothing indicating that is your van. The lot where the van is located was very dirty, there was an old tire and lots of garbage on the right side of the vehicle.Valentina L.
The parking location was filthy and hazardous. There was broken glass on the ground and a spare tire right in the way causing an hinderance to move around the vehicle. The van had no Uhaul marking and was hard to identify. I have used U-haul services in the past too and the experiences have been very good but this time was awful. Everything was bad. My pickup location was changed from my preferred location, the online check in agent didnot answer my questions, the truck was smelling so bad that I had to roll down both windows to air out the truck. And the worst of all was the location. It was hazardous and u safe for customers. I even took some pictures if you guys need them. I hope this gets addressed because I will never go back to this location to pickup a truck. I'll prefer other places.Shahbaz B.

false advertising, conning people, lying legally in business, trickery, dirty business. you advertise 19.95 per day for a van. in reality you give nothing for 19.95. it costs 19.95 plus 12% tax. plus 15 dollars plus tax for insurance plus 48 cents per kilometer plus tax and you are an american company it should be per mile but since you are lying cheaters i expect you to do that too. then i have to pay for the gas that i use too it cost me 100 dollars to take your van for 1.5 hours to move my tool box about 80 kilometers over. you are dirty lying thieves. and i will put this on google for people to see. in the future put the actual money it costs to rent it per day on your van in big print. i will never again bring my business to you.fariborz T.

Not so much this location in particular but the overall U-haul experience was very poor. I reserved a 10' truck on either the Monday or Tuesday prior to my rental. I was supposed to pick it up in New Westminster but 4 hours before I was supposed to pick it up I was called by U-haul saying that it was no longer available. There was not another one within a reasonable distance for me to pick up that evening or even early Saturday morning. I had to settle for the smaller cargo van which meant we had to make 2 trips, not only extending our work day significantly but also doubling the mileage we had to pay for (nice touch). I had booked the day off from work and we had already paid for the elevator "rental" for a specific time that morning so we were forced to accept the cargo van option - I asked for a larger truck at the same price but was told that none were available. When I returned the cargo van there were a couple of scuff marks on the rear doors that I was going to be charged $150 for - I refused and when I talked to the manager he agreed to hold my contract for a couple of days if I would "fix the damage" - Monday morning I bought some Turtle Wax polish and removed the marks in about 2 minutes. The whole experience has me wondering if I shouldn't seek alternatives if I ever need to rent a truck, van or trailer in the future.Steven W.

I made a 24hours reservation. I checked in online. I showed up ontime in the store and after I picked up the car I received a text message saying that I have to bring the car back at 8PM!! I was not done with my move so I called the shop and asked for the reason. I was told I was booked only 4 hours and I will be charged 50 dollars if I don't bring the car back. When I went to the shop and asked why they changed my reservation she told me that somone else booked for tomorrow so she had to change my reservation !! I asked for recite and the son of the owner came out and as he was arguing with me he called me "mother fucker" !! I called customer service , reported this to them and the owner and I went home.ATAOLLAH N.

When I arrived to pick up the van. The staff did a quick walk through of the van and showed us there was a scratch at the right door area. She said everything else is good and we are good to go. As a normal customer, I didn't question a lot as U-Haul is a big company and I didn't know we were supposed to check the roof top. When I returned the vehicle and the staff checked the roof top and said â€œyou damaged the roofâ€. I was quite shocked as I spotted the van the whole time when my husband drove the the underground parking in my apartment and I can make sure that nothing can damage the roof top. Interestingly the second day I saw a same vehicle (GMC savanna) drove in my underground parking lot with no problem. I checked all the pipes at the ceiling and I saw no dirt at all which means nothing has ever been touched by the pipes. The staff insisted that it's me who damaged the vehicle and asked me to signed the receipt of $1,000. She also mentioned if I don't sign they will send my information to collection agency. I had no choice but sign off the receipt. This is so far the worst rental car experience ever and it's not professional from the beginning. How would I even know to check the roof top if the staff didn't mention it? Through all my rental car experience I was never advised to check that before. If the staff and I have checked the roof at the beginning. I bet the damage was already there. But who knows I may get another story with damage for any other dent and scrach I didn't notice. I recommend everyone takes detailed pictures of any car you rent from U-Haul from top to bottom, left to right. Don't miss anything or you will be paying $1000 for a 3-hour renting experience. I called UHaul and asked if someone can help on this issue and the person made me wait for 1.5 hour and the phone got cutoff and no one called me back. I'm very very disappointed.yu Z.

Pick up the vechicle was fine but it was the drop off that made this experience a poor one. First I was going to get charged $48. For using 1/2 of art of a tank of gas. Which I thought was ridiculous so I decided to fill the tank up myself at the gas station next door. Prepaid $10 worth of gas and after $3 of gas went in it spilled all over ground. Apparently there was a hole in the gas tank. In the end they waived the fee and only charged $5 for gas but that experience made me never to go back their again. Also the pickup location only had one parking spot which made it difficult to switch from my vechile to the van I rented.Ian O.

The kid behind the counter was nice and did what was to be expected. However the van was unwashed. I had to deal with the attendant at the adjacent gas station who had parked his car in such a way as to make it difficult to move the van from the pick up location. The kid who served me asked me to move the van (upon return) to a different parking spot as he did not have a drivers license and thus was unable to move it. The parking situation is very bad . It is very busy there and the spot is very narrow . It is complicated to park your car to fill out the paperwork then move the van and then put your car in the same place the van was .
