The overall process of pick up was terrible. The gentleman helping me was very helpful and friendly despite having several issues with the "check-in" system. The total process took a full hour. I had a reservation several days in advance and when I got there my reservation had been changed without notification from 24 to 12 hours. While I was standing there waiting he got a call from another U-haul location telling him to cancel my reservation because "someone is on their way to get that trailer". After that I had to hook the trailer up my self, and then he hooked the safety chain to the hitch pin. This could have been catastrophic, had I not noticed and corrected him. To be clear, I in no way blame him. He clearly hadnt been properly instructed on any part of the process. He really tried as well as he could and was very polite and apologetic. I rent from U-haul regularly and this was by far my worst experience.

I had to make sure my reservation was correct 4 times, it went from a 20' to 15' to 26' and then the day before the company in Chehalis called and said they would not have a 20' and I would have to Castle Rock or Tumwater, I chose Castle Rock as it was on the way, HOWEVER, the location was a grocery store that didn't have anyone trained to do the paperwork. It was getting a bit ridiculous now. It took the area manager Bret Grover to get it straightened out. Come on folks you can do better than this. As for the truck, no cruise control for 500 plus miles, loud (Can't talk to my wife, horrible suspension. I hope I never have to use you again. Having this small off site stores/businesses do your work is stupid especially when there was a big center in Chehalis, Windshield not clean and who knows whether oil, coolant, tranny fluid was checked..

Last time we rented, Longview said we had to take it to Rainier, Ore, which was extra time and $$. We LOVE the idea of UHauls at our local market.
